先知 - 澳大利亚Slam/Brutal Death Metal乐队Prophetic Execution专访

今天采访到的是来自澳大利亚的Slam/Brutal Death Metal乐队Prophetic Execution，2023年成立的Prophetic Execution乐队由有着中国血统的年轻人Slamela Anderson成立并且在2024年发行了第一张EP专辑“Slammageddon”，随后发行了多张作品，缓慢沉重的Riff，虽然乐队采用的是Drum programming，缓慢，厚重，歌手的演唱非常的Sick，是一支非常经典的Slam乐队，在前不久乐队刚刚和美国的Slam/Brutal Death Metal乐队Hive of the Mantids发行了最新的Spilt专辑“New Blood”，在新专辑发行之际杂志也和乐队的创始人Slamela Anderson武德联系进行了一次专访！

Hello Slamela, nice to meet you and thank you very much for participating in this interview. I believe this is your first interview with China magazine. First of all, say hello to China fans. Prophetic Execution was founded in 2023, and it is a very young band. How did you form this band at the beginning?

S: 你好，很高兴见到你并参加这次采访！！！也向所有中国的Sam / Brutal Death Metal乐迷问好！是的，没错，先知行刑乐队成立于2023年初。我组建这支乐队的初衷是，我喜欢猛击/残酷死亡金属，并且一直想创作音乐！我的灵感来自于其他只有一两个成员的乐队，如 Gorepot、Type A secretor 和 Umbilical Asphyxia，但黑暗监狱大屠杀、Aborted、Syphilectomy、Traumotomy、Decomposition of Entrails、Pusboil、Stalino、Datura、Facelift Deformation 等乐队也对我的音乐创作产生了影响。

Hello and amazing to meet you and take part in this interview!!, and hello to all the slam/brutal death metal fans in China! Yes that is correct, Prophetic Execution was founded near the start of 2023. I started this band as I love slamming brutal death metal and have always wanted to create music! I was inspired by other bands with only one or two members such as Gorepot,Type A secretor and Umbilical Asphyxia but also bands such as The Dark Prison Massacre, Aborted, Syphilectomy, Traumotomy, Decomposition of Entrails, Pusboil, Stalino, Datura, Facelift Deformation are all influences on the type of music i write.

V: 乐队里只有你一个人，我觉得这样创作起来会很方便，因为你可以按照自己的想法完成创作。你能介绍一下的创作过程吗？

You are the only one in the band. I think it will be very convenient to create, because you can complete the creation according to your own ideas. Can you introduce your creative process?

Yes that is correct, it does introduce a complete level of creative freedom and i can create each song and album (or ep) the exact way i had envisioned, this helps also because these songs i write the music i would like to hear and have them flow exactly how i would like them too. It is a very personal project in relation to these things and I really enjoy the complete creative freedom. My creative process can sometimes have slight variations but I usually start once I have decided on a theme or subject matter for the album or EP and then each song will be a microcosm of that theme with each being about a different aspect. Whilst there are no lyrics in my songs the theme is drawn from the samples which are always specific to the song/theme and artwork and for the samples while often humorous in nature also serve as a device to introduce the theme of that particular song. Then i will begin by writing the drums first to get the basic structure of the song. Once i have a basic structure i then begin writing guitars and then comes bass,Vocals and any bass drops and additional parts such as synth. That is the way in which most Prophetic Execution songs are written/recorded.

V: 你的Logo设计精美，这个Logo是谁设计的？你的专辑封面设计也很精美。谁为你设计了这些作品？

Your logo is beautifully designed. Who designed this logo for you? Your album artwork is also beautifully designed. Who designed these artworks for you?

S: 非常感谢。是的我觉得这个Logo非常合适，我喜欢它的效果。这位艺术家的工作非常出色，乐队的Logo是由一位名叫Vikernes Art的艺术家设计的，他是一位印尼艺术家，设计的Logo和图案都非常出色。他还为首张专辑“SLAMMAGEDDON”设计了艺术品！另一发行的“TERMINATION CENTRAL”的封面由Tyler Sowles设计，因为我喜欢他的风格，它非常适合这张唱片的主题并抓住“QUAKE”的感觉，而“QUAKE”正是"TERMINATION CENTRAL的原型。而“”的封面则是由了不起的 Stealthfangs 创作的。所有的艺术家都完成了令人难以置信的作品，我认为他们在艺术风格上真正抓住了EP的精髓。

Thank You so much. Yes, the logo I think is very fitting and I love how it turned out. The artist did an amazing job, the band's logo was created by an artist called Vikernes Art - he is an indonesian artist and does amazing logos and designs. He also designed the artwork for the debut Ep SLAMMAGEDDON! The other release's TERMINATION CENTRAL cover was created by Tyler Sowles as i love his style and it really works for the themes of that ep and captures the feel of QUAKE which is what TERMINATION CENTRAL is based on/about. And for New Blood the cover was done by the amazing Stealthfangs. All of the artists have done incredible work and I think they really capture the essence of the EPs in the art style.

I've heard all your albums, and I like your recording effect very much. In which studio did you record your albums? Who produced the album for you?

S: 我有一个家庭录音室，用来为PROPHETIC EXECUTION录音，谢谢。我非常感谢你喜欢我的整体声音和音乐！我认为如果音乐经过过度的制作和处理，就会失去很多特色和感觉。所有 Prophetic Execution唱片均由Joshua Fireseed在美国的Slamphibious assault工作室制作。

I have a home studio recording set up which I use to record for PROPHETIC EXECUTION, thank you. I really appreciate the fact that you like the overall sound and the music! The sound is quite raw but it is what I like to hear and I think when music is too over produced and processed it loses a lot of character and feeling. All Prophetic Executions releases have been produced by Joshua Fireseed at Slamphibious assault studios in the United States.

V: 你的音乐主题与历史、电子游戏和科幻小说有关。为什么选择这样一个音乐主题？你想通过这样的音乐主题表达什么？歌词是你创作的吗？歌词的灵感来源是什么？

Your music theme is about history, video games and science fiction. Why did you choose such a music theme? What do you want to express through such a musical theme? Did you create the lyrics? What was the inspiration for the lyrics?

S: 这些都是我非常喜欢的主题，也是我的兴趣和爱好。我是一个比较害羞和内向的人，我一直喜欢玩电子游戏，体验游戏中的世界和故事。历史是我最大的兴趣之一，我从小就喜欢历史，我对历史上的帝国、独特的时期和社会的发展也非常着迷。这也是我将在未来的作品中进行更深入探讨的内容！从科幻小说中汲取灵感是非常开放的，我认为这为个人诠释留下了很大的空间。我从很多电子游戏中汲取了科幻灵感。如“Quake”、"Dusk"、"Fallout"、"Sonic"等！

These are themes that I really like and are interests and passions of mine. I am quite a shy and introverted person and I have always enjoyed playing video games and experiencing the worlds in which they take place and the stories they tell. As for history it is one of my biggest interests and I have loved history ever since i was a young child. I have also been fascinated by empires of history and unique time periods and the progression of society. And it is something I will be exploring more in depth in a future release! Science fiction is quite open ended to draw inspiration from and I think leaves a lot of room for personal interpretation. A Lot of the video games I draw inspiration from are science fiction. Such as Quake,Dusk,Fallout,Sonic and many others!

V: ni1的专辑都是自己发行的数字版本，有没有想过通过正规品牌发行CD版本？目前有没有接触过厂牌？

Your albums are all digital versions released by yourself. Have you ever thought about releasing CD versions through regular brands? Have you come into contact with the brand at present?

S: 我很想为Prophetic Execution制作CD。我希望能在明年印制一些CD，还有一些其他格式的唱片，比如磁带和软盘以增加怀旧感！

I would love to have CD’s pressed for Prophetic Execution. I have hoped to have some CDs pressed next year and also some other formats such as tapes and floppy disc for the nostalgia factor!

First of all, congratulations on the release of the latest album "New Blood". Although you are a very young band, your work is very mature, steady, atmospheric, fast, continuous and aggressive Riff. Although you use drum software, it is very fast and accurate, and your singing is also very Sick, which makes your work more Sick. What do you think of your work?

S: 非常感谢。我真的为"New Blood"感到骄傲，期待它的问世已经有一段时间了！这张专辑中的Prophetic Execution部分是根据电子游戏"DUSK"改编的，它深深地吸引了我，在讨论与HOTM合作制作一张合辑时，我们很快就达成了各自的想法，我认为这张专辑的效果非常好。这张专辑的流畅度非常好，两张专辑都有自己的声音和独特的感觉。我为这张合辑感到非常自豪！感谢你对这张专辑以及所有发行专辑的赞誉，这对我来说意义重大。对于旋律我非常喜欢连续的半音阶旋律并略加变化，创造出厚重的节奏感，推动歌曲向前发展！我非常注重节奏！对我影响很大的是Epicardiectomy，至于鼓是用鼓软件编程的，因为我无法演奏与我编程相近的东西。我很喜欢鼓的编程，而且我认为每发行一张专辑，我都会在这方面做得更好，所以我真的很感谢你说它是准确的，因为我尽力让它与真实的鼓准确一致，而不是听起来太机械化。我非常喜欢快速疯狂但又不失动感的鼓声部分。Prophetic Execution的声乐风格主要受到早期Cannibal corpse乐队Chris Barnes的影响，特别是Tomb Of The Mutilated、Deicide、Syphilectomy、Regurgitation Excrement和Larry wang！

Thank You so much. I am really proud of New Blood and was looking forward to it coming out for a while! The Prophetic Execution half of that album is based on the videogame DUSK, it was something that drew me in and when discussing doing a split album with HOTM we both arrived fairly quickly on what we each wanted to do and i think it has come out really well. How it flows is great and both sides of the album have their own sound and unique feel. I am very proud of this split! Thankyou for your kind words regarding this and all of the releases. It really means the world. For the riffs i am very fond of continuous chromatic riffs with slight variations and just creating a heavy driving groove that drives the song forward, while it is nothing technical or overly difficult at all its a style i really enjoy playing and i am much more of a fan of rhythm than leads! I am all about the groove! A big influence on that is epicardiectomy and for the drums yes those are programmed using drum software as i cannot play anything near what i am programming. I do enjoy drum programing and i think with every release i have gotten better at it so i really appreciate you saying it is accurate because i try my best with it to make it accurate to real drums and not sound too robotic, for the drums a big influence is Gorepot and Type A Secretor. I really love fast crazy but groovy drum parts. The Vocal Style of Prophetic Execution is mainly Influenced by Early Cannibal corpse with Chris Barnes specifically Tomb Of The Mutilated，Deicide，Syphilectomy，Regurgitation Excrement and Larry wang!

V: 现在是2024年底在接下来的日子里，你有什么新的工作要做？能告诉我们一些信息吗？

Now it's the end of 2024. What new work do you have to do in the coming days? Can you tell us some information?

S: 是的，我目前正在制作一些新的东西，其中一些将在2024年底之前发布，与Slam风格的GIRLKISSER乐队合作的Split EP和另一个Prophetic Execution EP正在录制阶段，将在今年年底之前发布。我总是有新的想法，总是在制作新的音乐！

Yes i am currently working on a few new things, some of which will be released before the end of 2024, a Split Ep with a slam band called GIRLKISSER and another Prophetic Execution Ep is in the stages of recording and this will be coming out before the end of the year. I am always having new ideas and always working on new music!

V: 你参加过现场表演吗？哪些现场表演给你留下了深刻的印象？你可以介绍一下当时的现场气氛吗？

Have you ever participated in some live performances? What live performances left a deep impression on you?

S: 虽然有一段时间没有参加现场表演，但我以前参加过现场表演。Prophetic Execution是为了不进行现场表演而开始的，因为我的工作日程很忙，而且没有更好的词来形容，它只是一个工作室项目。虽然将来我肯定会喜欢现场表演，可能有一天会巡演！为此我需要找到并招募一些现场成员，但我认为这将是未来令人兴奋的事情！给我留下深刻印象的现场表演是在YOKAI和LOTUS巡演中观看WITHIN DESTRUCTION的男孩们，他们撕毁了它，看到他们的成长令人惊叹。看到Howie在舞台上表演总是令人惊叹的！

I have Participated in live performances in the past although not for a while. Prophetic Execution was started with the intention of not playing live as I have a busy work schedule and it was intended to be just a studio project for lack of a better word. Although in the future I would definitely love to perform live and potentially tour one day! For this I would need to find and recruit some live members but I do think this would be something exciting to see in the future! A live performance that left a deep impression on me was watching the boys in WITHIN DESTRUCTION on both the YOKAI and LOTUS tours they tore it up and it is amazing to see them growing. Always amazing to see Howie killing it on stage!

V: 我知道你有一半中国血统，这让我觉得我们是一家人。我希望有一天你们能在中国发行专辑，在中国演出，我会一直支持和关注你们的乐队。虽然你们乐队在中国的名气不是很大，但我相信通过这次采访，会有更多的中国歌迷关注、支持、了解你们乐队。最后你有什么想对中国歌迷说的吗？

I know that you are half China blood, which makes me feel that we are a family. I hope that one day you can release an album in China and perform in China, and I will always support and pay attention to your band. Although your band is not very famous in China, I believe that this interview will make more China fans pay attention to, support and know your band. Do you have anything to say to China fans at the end?

S: 非常感谢！我觉得我们都是一个大家庭！我真的很感谢你花时间邀请我参加我的第一次访谈，感谢你们喜欢我的音乐并在帮助中国的Slam / Brutal Death场景蓬勃发展方面起到了催化剂的作用！你们的工作非常出色，我想亲自感谢你给我这次机会，感谢你们所做的一切！我想对中国所有的Slam歌迷们说，我感谢他们每一个人，我希望他们能在音乐中找到他们喜欢的东西！我很希望能在中国发行一张专辑，让我的音乐在中国的商店里销售，让中国歌迷购买和聆听。对我来说中国是我最想巡演的地方，对我来说意义重大，因此在中国拥有一群喜欢我的音乐并知道我的乐队的歌迷是我梦寐以求的！
