今天采访到的是一支来自意大利的单人Heavy / Doom / Progressive Metal乐队Enio Nicolini，组建于2015年的Enio Nicolini乐队由Enio Nicolini，乐队的名字也是由他本人的名字而来的，在组建不久之后便发行了第一张正式专辑“Heavy Sharing”，由Buil2Kill Records厂牌发行，这是一张融合多种元素的作品，其中包含了Heavy/Doom/Progressive Metal还有Electronics，Synths等元素，其中Electronics，Synths等元素的运用也丰富了这张专辑的氛围感，仿佛遨游在漫无边际的宇宙之中，Enio Nicolini本身也是一名非常优秀的贝斯手，在运用贝斯的演奏技巧和创作力，使用强力和弦来构建歌曲，然后再插入鼓、合成器和人声。便在2015年诞生这张精彩的作品，在前不久杂志通过意大利的朋友协调与乐队的Enio Nicolini取得联系进行了一次专访！

Today's interview is with Enio Nicolini, a one-man Heavy / Doom / Progressive Metal band from Italy, formed in 2015 by Enio Nicolini, from whom the band takes its name, and which released its first official album, “Heavy Sharing”, on Buil2Kill Records. The album “Heavy Sharing”, released on Buil2Kill Records, is an eclectic mix of Heavy/Doom/Progressive Metal, Electronics, Synths and more. Enio Nicolini, a bassist in his own right, uses his bass skills and creativity to build songs with powerful chords, then inserts drums, synthesizers and vocals. The result was this wonderful work in 2015, and not long ago the magazine contacted Enio Nicolini of the band for an interview, coordinated by a friend in Italy!

Hello Enio Nicolini it's nice to meet you and thank you very much for participating in this interview, I think this is the first time you've been interviewed by a Chinese magazine, first of all say hello to the Chinese fans, Enio Nicolini the band was founded in what year? How did you start the band?
E: 大家好，这是我第一次接受中国杂志的采访，在这里你们给了我一个机会，让我向中国的新粉丝们谈谈我的Otron音乐项目，谢谢你们给我这个机会。最初在2018年，我的初衷是想做一个音乐项目，特别是依靠我用自己的技巧演奏的贝司，使用强力和弦来构建歌曲，然后再插入鼓、合成器和人声。歌词涉及科幻世界，空间音效由合成器和电子设备发出。
Hello, this is the first time for me to be interviewed by a Chinese magazine , here you give me a chance to talk about my Otron music project to new Chinese fans, thank you for this opportunity. Initially , in 2018, my intention was to make a music project that relied especially on the use of the bass that I play with my own technique to use power chords for the construction of the songs than we insert drums, synths and vocals. The lyrics refer to a sci-fi world and the space sounds are made by synths and electronics.
V: 这支乐队目前只有你一个人，那么你有没有邀请过其他成员加入乐队？他们都是作为临时成员加入乐队的吗？
This band is currently just you, so have you ever invited any other members to join the band? Have they all joined the band as temporary members?
E: Otron项目是一个“概念”，是一个三碟片的系列（传奇），从2019年的“Cyberstorm”开始，到2022年的“Hellish Machanism”，再到2024年的“Suitecase man”结束。在这三部作品中，我有临时成员作为不同的嘉宾，但他们都以一个共同的声音目标为导向。创作歌曲的方法始终如一：低音提琴、鼓、合成器和人声，因此三张唱片的共同点是我使用的低音提琴技巧。我的嘉宾是奥创乐队，因此项目名称为：Enion Nicolini and the Otron。
The Otron project is a “concept” a series (saga) of three-disc that began in 2019 with “Cyberstorm” then “Hellish Machanism” in 2022 and closed in 2024 with “Suitecase man”. In the three works I had temporary members as different guests, but all of them were oriented on a common sonic goal. For the construction of the songs the method was always the same : Bass, Drums, Synths and vocals so the common denominator in the three records is the technique that I use with the bass. My guests are the Otron and from this the project name : Enion Nicolini and the Otron

You're the only one in the band I think that makes it easier when it comes to songwriting because you can write the songs the way you want to, can you describe your songwriting process? I'm sure your songwriting experience will inspire many young musicians!

Yes, Lyrics and music are my owns . First I write the lyrics then I compose the melodies always with the bass after that with the drummer we put in all the drumming and successively it goes to the synths and finally the vocals. I hope that my experience help young musicians to not be afraid and not hesitate to playing and creating their new music.

Your album recordings are outstanding, what studio did you record the album in? Which producer produced your album?
E: Otron项目的前两张专辑由卡斯特尔弗伦塔诺的“Sound Distillery Recording”录制，而最后一张专辑则由意大利托雷韦奇亚剧院的“Comet Broadcasting Studio”录制。Cyberstorm由意大利热那亚的Buil2Kill/Nadir发行，而Hellish Mechanism和Suitecase man则由意大利罗马的 Hellboness Rec. 我委托马耳他的Triad Rec.发行
The first two records of the Otron project were recorded by “Sound Distillery Recording” in Castelfrentano , while the last one was recorded by “Comet Broadcasting Studio in Torrevecchia Teatina, all in Italy. Cyberstorm was released with Buil2Kill/Nadir of Genoa- Italy , while Hellish Mechanism and Suitecase man were released with Hellboness Rec. at Rome-Italy. I entrusted to Triad Rec. of Malta the promotion of the 2 latest records.
V: 你的音乐主题是什么，为什么选择这个主题，你想通过它表达什么？你是否创作过任何歌词部分，这些歌词的灵感来源是什么？
What is your musical theme about, why did you choose it, and what do you want to express through it? Have you composed any lyrics parts and what inspired these lyrics?
E: Asinov, Orwell, Chomsky等作家的一些关于未来主义题材的书籍阅读以及我们生活的现实，当然还有我自己的生活经历，都是我创作歌词和想象音乐情节的灵感来源。在第一张唱片 “Cyberstom”中，我想象并描述了这些未来世界；在第二张唱片“Hellisch Mechanism”中，我讲述了我所遇到的乌托邦；而在第三张唱片“Suitcase man”中，我着重强调了寻找逃生路线以获得身份重生。
Some books reading done on futuristic topics for authors such as Asinov, Orwell, Chomsky, etc. and the reality that we live and of course my own live experience are my sources of inspiration on writing the lyrics and imagining a musical plot to be included on my musical projects. In the first record “Cyberstom” I imagined and described these futuristic worlds, in the second record “Hellisch Mechanism” I talked about the dystopias I encountered, and in the third record “Suitcase man” I highlighted the search for escape routes to the rebirth of one's identities.
V: 你曾与多家唱片公司合作发行专辑，你是如何与这些唱片公司取得联系并进行合作的？你对这些唱片公司的工作满意吗？
You've released albums with a number of labels, how did you get in touch with these labels to collaborate? Are you satisfied with the work of these labels?

Since 1980, I produce and collaborate on music project ( Akron, Unreal Terror, The Black, Heavy Sharing and other) till now with Otron, so I have a big experience and good relationship with a lot of musician and labels in Italy and other. I am very pleased to collaborate with everyone, especially the latest: Hellbones Rec. and Triad Rec. where I found passion for music, synergy and professionalism.
V: 你的风格被定义为Heavy/Doom/Progressive Metal，你的作品也给我留下了深刻的印象，沉重的氛围，快速的旋律，清晰干净的人声，鼓手非常严谨，没有什么花哨的方式，但简洁的演奏非常吸引人，你觉得你的作品如何？
Your style is defined as Heavy/Doom/Progressive Metal, I'm also impressed by your work, heavy vibes, fast riffs, clear and clean vocals, the drummer is very disciplined, nothing in a very fancy way, but the simplicity of the playing is very appealing, what do you think of your work?

I thank You for the good remarks you made, in fact, my musical style is characterized by not using guitars. I am a bass player so I use my bass to make melodies for my projects with the technique of power chords that I mentioned earlier; I like the idea that we can make nice melody with any instrument we play and I am very satisfied of the good job of any one of my friends musician who have collaborate on the nice results of the project and I hope you like it.
V: 作为一支经典乐队，你们参加过很多音乐节，哪些音乐节给你留下了深刻印象，能否描述一下音乐节的氛围？2025年还有哪些音乐节邀请你参加？
As a classic band, you've been to a lot of festivals, which ones have impressed you and can you describe the atmosphere and what are the other festivals you've been invited to in 2025?
E: 我还记得我和黑色乐队一起参加德国的Headbangers Open Air Festival、丹麦的Metal Magic Festival以及意大利的Malta Doom Festival和Heavy Metal Night Festival，这些音乐节的氛围、音乐家和我们聆听的金属音乐都给我留下了深刻的印象。对于Otron而言，我们现场演出的气氛主要来自于由贝斯和鼓声组成的节奏部分的音效，再加上合成器和人声的部分，使我们的项目充满了空间感。
I still remember my participation with The Black band on Headbangers Open Air Festival in Germany , The Metal Magic Festival in Denmark and Malta Doom Festival and Heavy Metal Night Festival in Italy they were the most festival that impressed me for the atmosphere and the musician I meat and the music metal we listened to. For Otron the atmosphere in our live shows are mainly the sonic impact of the rhythm section composed of bass and drums sounds in plus the sections made by the synths and vocals lead us to give spatiality to the project.
V: 2025年你会有什么新作品？比如写作、录制新专辑，能透露一些信息吗？
What new work do you have coming up in 2025? Like writing, recording a new album, can you reveal some information to people?
E: 我作为Enio Nicolini的下一个项目将是人工智能AI，同样由Hellbones Rec. / Triad Rec.唱片公司发行。我的计划是只发行黑胶唱片（10 英寸），包含五首限量曲目。我认为这将会在收藏市场上大放异彩。
My next project as Enio Nicolini will be on Artificial Intelligence AI, again on the Hellbones rec. / Triad rec. label. My plan is to ptoduce only vinyl (10 inches) with five limited edition tracks. I think that will go on the collector's market.
