过去几年当中厄瓜多尔国家在Brutal Death Metal风格中出现了大批优秀的乐队，在中国很多来自厄瓜多尔的Brutal Death Metal乐队也是非常有名气，同时大批的厄瓜多尔乐队也签约了很多优质的厂牌，比如之前采访过的Visceral Decay，Infectology等乐队签约了美国的New Standard Elite和俄罗斯的Lord of the Sick Recordings，还有像Encystment，Cefalophagia，Gastrorrexis等乐队也和印尼的Brutal Mind，俄罗斯的Coyote Records等厂牌签约合作发行了专辑，今天采访到的就是一支由厄瓜多尔和美国两个国家成员组建的Brutal Death Metal乐队Infibulated，2019年的Infibulated乐队是一支很年轻的乐队，目前乐队在2020年发行一张Promo作品和一张正式专辑“Diabolical Euphoric Subjugation”，最初这支只是吉他手 Jhenry和贝斯手Jose的一个工作室项目，不久之后来自美国的歌手Max和鼓手Roman也相继加入了项目，让一支录音室项目演变成为一支完整的乐队，在这里要提到鼓手Roman，他今年刚刚20岁，却是一名演奏经验丰富的乐手，他自己一个人组建的Anal Stabwound乐队也是在2021年非常火爆的乐队，新成员加入乐队之后不久乐队在2020年发行了一张两首歌曲的Promo作品，虽然只有5分钟，但是这两首作品并没有掩盖乐队的才华，同时他们也被美国的New Standard Elite看中并且合作在2023年发行了他们的第一张正式专辑“Diabolical Euphoric Subjugation”，这张专辑发行之后便收到了很多歌迷的关注和乐评人的好评，在前不久乐队的吉他手Jhenry与杂志取得联系进行了一次专访！

Infectology have signed to New Standard Elite (USA) and Lord of the Sick Recordings (Russia), while Encystment, Cefalophagia, Gastrorrexis have signed to Indonesian label Brutal Mind and Russian label Coyote Records. Coyote Records, etc. Today's interview is with Infibulated, a Brutal Death Metal band formed by members from both Ecuador and the U.S. Infibulated is a very young band in 2019, and the band is currently working on the 2020 release of a Promo work and an official album “Diabolical Euphoric Subjugation”, initially a studio project of guitarist Jhenry and bassist Jose, soon joined by American singer Max and drummer Roman. Hello, i’m glad to be interviewed by you again. Cheers to all Chinese sickos. The band started in 2019 as a studio project by Jose and me. I asked to Max and Roman if they want to join the project, and they agreed right away and we then began recording two songs for the Promo 2020.

Unfortunately, Roman was unable to record drums for the album due to time constraints, So I asked Nikhil if he was available to record drums on the debut album that was written in 2021. He agreed right away, and we began recording. We are really happy to have him in the band because he is incredibly talented musician and one of the best BDM artist nowadays. We can’t wait to record new material for Infibulated with him.

J: 好，其实它很简单。首先我在吉他上创作了一些即兴段和歌曲结构，然后录制并发送给Nikhil他作曲所有的鼓。之后录制人声和低音，互联网帮了很大的忙。
Well. Its simple. First, i create some riffs and structure the song on guitar, then record them and send it to Nikhil. He composes all drums. After that, vocals and bass are recorded. The internet helps a lot to do it possible.

Your work is excellent in terms of recording, what studio did you record the album in? Which producer produced your album?
J: 吉他和贝斯是在我自己的家庭录音室录制的，而人声和鼓是在Max和Nikhil的家庭录音室录制的。在那之后我把所有的东西放在一起，做了一个预混音并发送多轨Matt Kilner（niquitous Deeds, Nithing等）混音和母带，我们对最终结果非常满意。
Guitars and bass were recorded on my own home studio, while the vocals and drums were recorded on Max’s and Nikhil’s home studios. After that, i put everything together and did a pre mix, and sent the multitrack to Matt Kilner (Iniquitous Deeds, Nithing, etc) for mixing and mastering. We’re really happy with the final result.
V: 你的Logo设计非常漂亮，的谁为你设计了这个Logo，你的专辑封面是我最喜欢的部分，谁为你设计的呢？
Your logo design is beautiful who designed this logo for you.Your album artwork is my favorite part of the album.Who designed this artwork for you?
J: 谢谢，男人！我做了Logo，专辑的艺术作品是由Caleb Diederich完成的，他在Facebook上出售专辑，我们真的很喜欢它，因为它抓住了我们为专辑工作的概念。所以我们联系了NSE的Dan购买。
Thanks, man! I did the logo, the artwork for the album was done by Caleb Diederich he was selling the art on FB and we really liked it because it captured the concept we were working on for the album. So, we contacted to Dan of NSE to purchase it.

What is the theme of your music about? Why did you choose this theme, what do you want to express through this theme, did you write the lyrics, who wrote these lyrics, and where did he get his inspiration from?

The theme revolves around occultism, mysticism, anti-religion, and satanism. I based the song titles and some phrases in the album booklet on these topics. However, Infibulated doesn’t have lyrics, as is common with many BDM bands we admire and worship!

Your 2023 release is on New Standard Elite in the U.S. How did you get in touch with the label to collaborate? Were you satisfied with their work? I know you run a label yourself why didn't you choose to release the album on your own label?
J: Max把这两首宣传歌曲寄给了当时NSE的老板Daniel Osborn。他喜欢他们并立即与我们签约。我们真的很高兴，因为在我看来，NSE是有史以来最好的BDM标签。我已经和我的其他乐队，Infetology和Encystment签约了，所以我毫不犹豫。当时我的厂牌还没有在2019年开始运营。
Max sent the two promo songs to Daniel Osborn, the owner of NSE at the time. He liked them and signed us to the label immediately. We’re really happy because, in my opinion, NSE is the best BDM label ever. I already have my other bands, Infectology and Encystment, signed to the label, so there was no hesitation. At the time, I didn’t have my label up and running yet in 2019.

First of all, congratulations on the release of your first album in 2023, you're a classic Brutal Death Metal band, with fast, continuous riffs that actually contain some Slam passages without a single pause, and the drummer's fast, precise strikes are the biggest highlight of the whole album, and the singer's low, gooey vocals make it even more Sick, and you're very proud of What do you think of your work?

Thanks for the kind words, man! Yes, we’re very proud of the final result. It took a lot of work composing the songs and pushing ourselves to create some truly brutal tracks, but in the end, we all loved the shit we made!

Has your band ever played a festival? What festivals impressed you and can you describe the atmosphere and what other festivals have you been invited to in 2025?
J: 我们从来没有以Infibulated的形式在音乐节上演出过。正如我之前提到的，这支乐队最初成立时的想法只是一个创作计划。不过我们已经收到了去美国现场演出的邀请，我们希望明年能做到，我们真的很兴奋。
We’ve never played a festival with Infibulated. The band was originally formed with the idea of being just a studio project, as I mentioned before. However, we’ve already received an invitation to perform live in the United States, and we’re hopeful we can make it happen next year. We’re really excited about it.
V: 2025年你有什么新工作要做吗？比如写歌、录新歌或者发行新专辑，你能向人们透露一些信息吗？
Do you have any new work going on in 2025? Like writing, recording some new songs or releasing a new album, can you reveal some information to people?
J: 我已经在为新专辑创作一些歌曲了，这张专辑会比我们的首张专辑更病态。我希望我们能在今年发行它，但这一切都取决于我的乐队成员的时间。
I’m already working on some songs for the new album, which will be even sicker than our debut. I hope we can release it this year, but it all depends on my bandmates’ time.
