DinosaursRex是一支来自荷兰的Experimental Doom Rock / Metal乐队，由Grindcore乐队IJje Wijkstra成员Bauke组建的一支单人乐队，目前已经发行了三张专辑，所有的作品充斥着缓慢，泥泞的节奏，大量实验音乐的节奏，让这支乐队充满了另类的气息，同时DinosaursRex乐队的作品也深受Rock元素的影响，让所有听过DinosaursRex乐队作品的歌迷着迷，虽然乐队是一支非常年轻的乐队，但是Bauke确实一名优秀的音乐家，他包揽了乐队的所有创作和录制工作，前不久Bauke也刚刚发现了他的最新专辑“Stranded”，新专辑发行之际也和杂志取得联系进行了一次专访！

DinosaurRex is an experimental Doom Rock/Metal band from the Netherlands, formed by Grindcore band IJje Wijkstra member Bauke as a solo band. They have released three albums and all of their works are filled with slow, muddy rhythms and a lot of experimental music, giving the band a unique atmosphere. At the same time, Dinosaur Rex's works are also deeply influenced by rock elements, making all fans who have heard of Dinosaur Rex's works fascinated. Although the band is a very young band, Bauke is indeed an excellent musician who takes care of all the band's creative and recording work. Not long ago, Bauke also discovered that... His latest album "Stranded" was released and he also contacted the magazine for an exclusive interview!

Hello Bauke, nice to meet you and thank you very much for participating in this interview. I think this is your first time being interviewed by a Chinese magazine. First of all, let me say hello to all Chinese fans and friends. When was DinosaurRex founded? How did you form this band? What does the name DinosaursRex mean?

B: 感谢您对我的采访。是的，这是DinosaursRex首次接受中国杂志的采访，对此我感到非常高兴。DinosaursRex成立于2024年，但这个想法本身开始得更早。在我十几岁的时候，我有一些其他的乐队和项目，这很有趣，但我真的不擅长。然后我去了一所学校，他们教声音和灯光工程，因为我真的很喜欢技术方面的东西。但在完成学业并在音响和灯光领域投入大量工作后，我对它的热情逐渐消退。不过，过了一段时间，娱乐人们的冲动又回来了，我自己已经拥有了大部分的录音设备。所以我想，“让我们再尝试录制一些东西。”2024年，我给它起了个名字“DinosaursRex”，现在我们有了第三张演示/专辑。恐龙雷克斯这个名字最初是为了好玩：霸王龙，“恐龙之王”。但也许还有更多。人类将自己视为地球之王，这是一种类比。但是，是的，这是开放的解释，哈哈。

Thank you for interviewing me. Yes, this is the first time DinosaursRex will be interviewed by a Chinese magazine, and I am very happy about that. DinosaursRex was founded in 2024, but the idea itself started much earlier. In my teens, I had some other bands and projects, which was a lot of fun, but I was really bad at it. Then I went to a school where they taught sound and lighting engineering, because I really enjoyed the technical side of things. But after finishing school and working a lot in the sound and lighting world, my passion for it faded. After a while, though, the urge to entertain people came back, and I already owned most of the recording equipment myself. So I thought, “Let’s try recording something again.” In 2024, I gave it a name "DinosaursRex" and here we are with the third demo/album. The name DinosaursRex originally started as something fun: Tyrannosaurus Rex, the “King of the Dinosaurs.” But maybe there is more to it. Humans see themselves as kings of the Earth, which is kind of an analogy. But yeah, it’s open to interpretation, hahah.

V: 目前，你是DinosaursRex乐队的唯一成员，还是有其他成员加入这个乐队？

At present, are you the only member of DinosaursRex band, or are there other members joining this band?

B: 是的，目前我是唯一的成员，也许将来会改变。仍然有一个梦想与这个项目一起上线，但是哈哈哈。

Yes currently I am the only member, maybe in the future it will change. There is still a dream to go live with this project, but yeah hahah.

V: 你目前已经发行了三张专辑，这三张专辑的录音效果都非常好。你在哪个录音室录制了这些专辑？哪位制作人为你制作了这张专辑？你新专辑的录制过程顺利吗？

You have currently released three albums, and the recording effects of these three albums are very excellent. Which studio did you record the albums in? Which producer made the album for you? Did the recording process of your new album go smoothly?

B: 所以我有一个小的家庭工作室，在那里我录制和制作一切。我从FL Studio获得的鼓和合成器，混音是在ProTools中完成的，母带制作是在Reaper中完成的。我不认为自己是音乐家，所以录音总是需要很多时间哈哈。

So I have a small home studio where I record and produce everything. Drums and synths I get out of FL Studio, mixing is done in ProTools and mastering is done in Reaper. I don't consider myself a musician, so recording always takes a lot of time hahah.

V: 你能介绍一下你的创作吗？

Can you introduce your creations?

B: 我认为最好的办法是，人们自己探索它们，并给它们自己的解释。

I think its best, people explore them themselves - and give their own interpretation to them.

V: 你的音乐主题是什么？你为什么选择这个音乐主题，你想通过这个音乐主题表达什么？你创作过歌词吗？这些歌词的灵感来源是什么？

What is the theme of your music about? Why did you choose this music theme, and what do you want to express through this music theme? Have you created any lyrics and what inspired these lyrics?

B: 很难在音乐中只附加一个主题。其中大部分来自我的情感和个人生活经历，也来自政治问题。我不喜欢西方世界在政治上的方向——有太多的仇恨。

It’s hard to attach just one theme to the music. Most of it comes from my emotions and personal experiences in life, but also from political issues. I don’t like the direction the Western world is heading politically - there is so much hate.

V: 你的标志设计很简单，但这种设计形式是我个人最喜欢的，因为我很容易记住你的名字。谁为你设计了这个标志？你的专辑封面设计真的很漂亮，尤其是最新的专辑封面很有诗意。谁为你设计了这些艺术品？

Your logo design is very simple, but this design form is my personal favorite because I can easily remember your names. Who designed this logo for you? Your album artwork design is really beautiful, especially the latest album artwork is very poetic. Who designed these artworks for you?

B: 我选择了一个稍微简单的设计的主要原因是我非常有阅读障碍，所以我希望这个名字对每个人来说都是易于理解和阅读的。目前的两个标志都是由一个丹麦人制作的。“Stranded”的艺术品是我用手机拍的。有一天，我抬头一看，看到橙色的云朵，我拍了一张照片，心想：“这总有一天会成为专辑的艺术品。”但计划于2027年发布的下一个版本的艺术品将由Sol Inga（ArtsyMarxist）和Alexander Quaresma完成。所以，是的，当谈到艺术品和设计时，我试着越来越多地合作。

The main reason why I picked a somewhat simple design is that I am very dyslexic, so I want the name to be accessible and easy to read for everybody. Both of the current logos were made by a guy from Denmark. The artwork for Stranded was taken by me on my phone. One day, I looked up and saw orange clouds, and I took a photo with the intention of thinking, “This will become album artwork one day.” But the artwork for the next release, planned for 2027, will be done by Sol Inga (ArtsyMarxist) and Alexander Quaresma. So yeah, when it comes to artwork and design, I try to collaborate more and more.

V: 你当前的专辑都是自行发行的数字版本。你有没有考虑过联系唱片公司为你发行专辑或其他实体版本？到目前为止，你联系过任何制造商吗？

Your current albums are all self released digital versions. Have you considered contacting a label to release albums or other physical versions for you? Have you contacted any manufacturers so far?

B: 如今，独立发布音乐很容易，所以我想，“让我们先尝试一下数字化，看看这个项目会走向何方。”我没有以“正常”的方式做事，而是自己发布音乐，并称之为“演示”，也许一路上会建立一个小粉丝群。从那里，我将看看将来是否有可能发布实体版本。我的想法是：“如果还没有人知道或会购买它，为什么要发布一些实物呢？”所以我认为这更像是一个与观众共同成长的过程。如果一个品牌对此感兴趣，我也持开放态度。

These days, it’s easy to release music independently, so I thought, “Let’s try doing it digitally first and see where it takes this project.” Instead of doing things the “normal” way, I just release the music myself and call them “demos,” maybe building a small fanbase along the way. From there, I’ll see if it becomes possible to release physical editions in the future. My mindset is: “Why release something physical if there aren’t people yet who know about it or would buy it?” So I see it more as a process of growing together with the audience. And if a label is interested, I’m open to that too.

V: 首先恭喜你的新作发布。你的作品充满了xperimental和rock元素，节奏缓慢，节奏感强，也是doom metal的特点。你可以感觉到自己受到了许多风格的影响。你能分享一下你对这张专辑的看法吗？

First of all, congratulations on the release of your new work. Your work is full of experimental and rock elements, with a slow rhythm and Riff that are also characteristic of Doom Metal. You can feel that you have been influenced by many styles. Can you share your thoughts on this album?

B: 我喜欢许多不同的音乐流派，在DinosaursRex中，我喜欢将它们结合起来。所以，是的，我总是很难向人们解释它到底是什么类型的，哈哈哈。与之前的版本相比，这个演示的节奏有点快。但在我的音乐中，节奏或其他任何方面都没有严格的规定。

I like many different music genres, and with DinosaursRex I enjoy combining them. So yeah, I always struggle to explain to people what genre it actually is, hahahaha. Compared to the previous releases, this demo is a bit more up-tempo. But there’s no strict rule when it comes to tempo or anything else in my music.

V: 2026年你有什么新工作要做？例如，如果你继续创作和录制一些新歌，你能与每个人分享一些新信息吗？

What new jobs do you have to do in 2026? For example, if you continue to create and record some new songs, can you share some new information with everyone?

B: 目前，我已经在录制我将于2027年发布的演示。它将收录之前演示中的三首歌曲，但会用原声吉他和新元素重新制作，所以这非常令人兴奋。除了DinosaursRex，我还为其他艺术家混音和掌握音乐。今年晚些时候，Sol Inga将发行他们的第二张专辑，我真的很期待为此工作，因为它与我自己的音乐完全不同。他们制作社会主义民间音乐，所以如果人们喜欢，一定要去看看。当然，我也必须为IJje Wijksta练习很多吉他，因为我们想开始现场表演。

Currently, I am already recording for the demo I’m going to release in 2027. It will feature three songs from previous demos, but reworked with acoustic guitars and new elements, so that’s very exciting. Besides DinosaursRex, I also mix and master music for other artists. Later this year, Sol Inga is going to release their second album, and I’m really looking forward to working on that because it’s completely different from my own music. They make socialist folk music, so if people are into that, definitely go check it out. And of course, I also have to practice guitar a lot for IJje Wijksta, because we want to start playing live shows.

V: 你受到那些乐队的影响了吗？

Have you been influenced by those bands?

B: 我从Amenra、Tool、Deftones、Gojira、Sunn O）、The Young Gods和Laibach等乐队那里得到了很多灵感。但我也喜欢像Paul Kalkbrenner、Solee、Tinlicker和Muslim纱布这样的EDM艺术家。有时灵感来自嘻哈表演，如Deltron 3030、Death Grips、MF DOOM和Run the Jewels。但我想恐龙雷克斯里没有很多嘻哈音乐，哈哈哈。当然，我也喜欢当地的乐队。

I get a lot of inspiration from bands like Amenra, Tool, Deftones, Gojira, Sunn O))), The Young Gods and Laibach. But I also enjoy EDM artists like Paul Kalkbrenner, Solee, Tinlicker and Muslimgauze. And sometimes the inspiration comes from hip-hop acts like Deltron 3030, Death Grips, MF DOOM and Run the Jewels. But I guess there’s not a lot of hip-hop in DinosaursRex, hahahaha. I also enjoy local bands of course.

V: 你们是一支非常优秀的乐队，我会一直关注和支持你们的乐队。我也希望这次采访后能吸引更多的中国歌迷关注和支持你们的乐队。面试即将结束。最后，你有什么想对中国粉丝和朋友说的吗？

You are a very excellent band, and I will always pay attention to and support your band. I also hope to attract more Chinese fans to follow and support your band after this interview. The interview is coming to an end. Do you have anything you want to say to Chinese fans and friends at the end?
