今天依旧是老朋友Melkor的乐队采访，这也是他目前新乐队的最后一个采访，组建于2025年的Purgatório Bestial乐队由Melkor和LordSir7Peles两个人组建，其中Melkor负责所有的编曲和创作，LordSir7Peles则是复杂演唱部分，这支乐队融合了Black/Death/Thrash Metal等风格，将Black Metal的邪恶，冰冷，Death Metal的凶狠，毒辣和Thrash Metal的犀利结合在一起，今年乐队发行了第一张正式专辑“Ciclo Infernal”也成为了2026年目前最优秀的葡萄牙作品之一，这张专辑发行之后也被葡萄牙刚刚成立的一家新厂牌签约，这也是Melkor所有乐队当中为数不多签约其他厂牌的乐队之一，在新专辑发行之际Melkor与杂志取得联系进行了一次专访！

Today is still an interview with his old friend Melkor's band, which is also his last interview with his new band. The Purgat ó rio Bestial band, formed in 2025, is composed of Melkor and LordSir7Peles, with Melkor responsible for all arrangements and creations, Lordsur7Peles is the complex singing part, a band that blends styles such as Black/Death/Thrash Metal, combining the evil and coldness of Black Metal, the ferocity and spiciness of Death Metal, and the sharpness of Thrash Metal. This year, the band released their first official album "Ciclo Infernal", which has become one of the best Portuguese works of 2026. After the album was released, it was also signed by a newly established label in Portugal, and it is one of the few bands in Melkor that has signed with other labels. At the time of the release of the new album, Melkor contacted a magazine for an exclusive interview!

M: 嗨，火山杂志！很高兴能与你们取得联系。看到这些独立出版物以应有的方式——质朴、直接且不带任何虚妄——维系着地下文化的生命力，总是让人感到欣慰。Purgatório Bestial于2025年应运而生。我无法指出确切的月份或日期，因为这并非一个事先计划好的“组建乐队”时刻。它更像是某种在暗处悄然滋长的事物，直到积聚到足够的分量才得以破土而出。我拥有一些旋律片段、创意点子，以及一种强烈而明确的创作出某种粗野且毫不妥协的音乐作品的渴望。到了某个时刻，事情变得显而易见：这需要一个名字，并需要拥有属于自己的生命。于是Purgatório Bestial就此诞生。其背后的整体理念十分简单：摒弃一切流行元素、修饰手法以及现代合成音效。只保留纯粹、本能的冲劲以及发自内心的那种氛围。一旦首支歌曲初具雏形，这个项目就不再仅仅是一个构想，而真正成为了一头猛兽。

Hi Volcano Magazine, great to connect with you. Always good to see zines keeping the underground alive the way it should be, raw, direct, and without bullshit. Purgatório Bestial came together in 2025. I can’t point to an exact month or day, because it wasn’t a planned “let’s form a band” moment. It was more like something that grew in the shadows until it had enough weight to break through. I had riffs, ideas, and a very clear urge to create something filthy and uncompromising. At some point it just became obvious that this needed a name and a life of its own, and that’s when Purgatório Bestial was born. The whole spirit behind it was simple: no trends, no polish, no modern plastic sound. Just pure, instinctive aggression and the kind of atmosphere that comes from the gut. Once the first songs took shape, the project stopped being just an idea and became a real beast.

This band was formed by you and LordSir7Peles. How did you invite LordSir7Peles to join the band?

M: 是的，这支乐队是由我和LordSir7PeleS共同组建的。他加入的方式完全自然。我们早已是多年的好友，经常交流各种创意、噪音以及糟糕的旋律。他是地下音乐圈中最活跃的一位狂热分子，总是参与十几个项目，不断创作出原始且令人作呕的作品，总是将声音推向极致。此人拥有极高的鉴赏力，对制作纯粹、不加修饰的噪音有着真正的热情。当我开始构思首批歌曲时，他便是第一个浮现在我脑海中的形象。我甚至都没有以正式的方式“邀请”他参与，而更像是这样说道：“我正在创作一些极其糟糕的作品……想在此基础上再添些混乱吗？”当然，他欣然应允了。他就是这样的一个人。而Purgatório Bestial这个名字呢？这灵感直接源自LordSir7PeleS病态的思绪。他毫无来由地抛出了这个名字，而它立刻给人一种贴切、原始、亵渎的感觉，完全契合了我们所追求的氛围。听上去仿佛是一个苦难永无尽头的地方，而这正是乐队所要传达的精神。

Yeah, the band was formed by me and LordSir7PeleS. The way he joined was completely natural. We’ve been friends for a long time, always trading ideas, noise, and rotten riffs. He’s one of the most active maniacs in the underground, always involved in a dozen projects, always creating something raw and disgusting, always pushing sound to the edge. The guy has great taste and a real passion for making pure, unfiltered noise. When I started shaping the first songs, he was the first person that came to mind. I didn’t even “invite” him in a formal way, it was more like: “I’m working on something filthy as hell… want to vomit some chaos on top of it?” And of course he did. That’s just how he is. And the name Purgatório Bestial? That came straight from the sick mind of LordSir7PeleS. He threw the name at me out of nowhere, and it immediately felt right, raw, blasphemous, and perfectly aligned with the atmosphere we wanted. It sounded like a place where suffering never ends, and that’s exactly the spirit of the band.

V: 这张专辑的创作过程是如何进行的？你主要负责创作工作吗？

How was the creative process of this album carried out? Are you primarily responsible for creating?

M: 这张专辑背后的创作过程既肮脏、简单又十分自然。我全盘负责了音乐的根基：我创作了旋律线，构建了结构框架，录制了所有乐器的声音，对整体进行了混音处理，并最终对最终成果进行了精调。我希望这种声音能给人一种原始而充满敌意的感觉，仿佛是从炉火中录制下来的，不带任何修饰，也没有现代塑料光泽的点缀，只有纯粹、本能的冲劲。歌曲准备就绪后，LordSir7PeleS便在自己的那部分录制了所有声乐部分。他捕捉到了他所擅长的那种充满污秽与魔力的能量感，随后将所有声乐曲目发送给我，以便我能将其融入整体的混乱氛围中。他的声音是这张专辑身份特征的重要组成部分，听上去仿佛是从深渊中直接爬出来的。这幅艺术作品也是由我创作的，但始终遵循着LordSir7PeleS扭曲的构思。他有着病态的想象力，对于乐队所要营造的氛围有着非常清晰的构想。我只是将他的疯狂想法转化成了视觉形象。当然，在一切都准备就绪后，我邀请了我多年的好友D‑Void参与这场仪式。他演奏的那些疯狂而癫狂的吉他独奏，如同利刃般穿透了歌曲的旋律。他的贡献为这张专辑增添了另一层混乱与个性的色彩。

The creative process behind this album was dirty, simple, and very natural. I handled the entire musical foundation: I wrote the riffs, built the structures, recorded all the instruments, mixed everything, and mastered the final result. I wanted the sound to feel raw and hostile, like something recorded inside a furnace, no polish, no modern plastic shine, just pure, instinctive aggression. Once the songs were ready, LordSir7PeleS recorded all the vocals on his side. He captured that filthy, possessed energy he’s known for, and then sent me all the vocal tracks so I could blend them into the chaos. His voice is a huge part of the album’s identity, it sounds like it crawled straight out of the pit. The artwork was also done by me, but always following the twisted visions of LordSir7PeleS. He has a sick imagination and a very clear idea of the atmosphere he wants the band to project. I just translated his madness into visuals. And of course, after everything was in place, I invited my longtime friend D‑Void to join the ritual. He delivered those insane, unhinged guitar solos that cut through the songs like blades. His contribution added another layer of chaos and personality to the album.

Is this album still recorded in your own studio?

M: 是的，我的所有部分都是在自己的工作室里录制的。正是在这里，我构建了整张专辑的核心框架：吉他、贝斯、鼓、混音、母带处理，以及所有其他环节。我喜欢对声音和氛围拥有完全的控制权，因此在自己专属的工作空间内工作显得尤为重要。LordSir7PeleS在另一间录音棚里录制了所有声乐部分。他拥有自己的设备配置，并采用独特的手法捕捉他所展现出的那种充满污秽与魔力的能量。录制完成后，他将所有声乐曲目发送给我，而我则将所有素材整合到混音中。同样的情况也发生在D‑Void身上。他也在自己的工作室里录制了所有那些疯狂的独奏曲目。一旦他将这些文件发送给我后，我便将其添加到歌曲中，并对最终版本进行了调整。最终，这张专辑基本上是由三家不同的工作室拼凑而成的一个弗兰肯斯坦式的作品，每一家都为其增添了自己的特色、个性、混乱元素，而我则将所有这些元素整合到一起，拼凑成了一幅庞大的作品。

Yes, my parts were all recorded in my own studio. That’s where I built the whole backbone of the album, guitars, bass, drums, the mix, the master, everything. I like having full control over the sound and the atmosphere, so working in my own space is essential. LordSir7PeleS recorded all the vocals in another studio. He has his own setup and his own way of capturing that filthy, possessed energy he brings. After he finished, he sent me all the vocal tracks, and I integrated everything into the mix. And the same happened with D‑Void. He recorded all his insane solos in his own studio as well. Once he sent me the files, I added them to the songs and shaped the final versions. In the end, the album is basically a Frankenstein of three different studios, each one adding its own dirt, its own character, its own chaos, and I stitched everything together into one monstrous piece.

What is the theme of your music about? Why did you choose this music theme, and what do you want to express through this music theme? Have you created any lyrics? Who created these lyrics and what inspired them?

M: 这首歌曲直接触及了Purgatório Bestial的核心主题。我们的音乐围绕衰败、暴力、精神崩溃以及存在的荒诞面展开。我们深入探究人类境况的污秽、肉体的残酷以及苦难并非特例、而是不断重复的循环这一理念。正因如此，这张专辑被命名为"Ciclo Infernal"：一切都在腐朽，一切都在消亡，一切又都回归。它并非旨在制造冲击感，而是旨在捕捉那种对我们而言自然而然的原始、丑陋的氛围。极端音乐应当反映现实的阴暗角落，而非对其避而不谈。我们选择这一主题，是因为它映照了我们周围所目睹的世界。虚伪、腐败、苦难、暴力——所有这些元素都融入了歌词的意境之中。歌曲将这些元素夸张地描绘成一幅地狱般的图景，但其根源却是极为真实的。这是我们将厌恶之情转化为声音的方式，将生命中最为糟糕的片段转化为一种发自肺腑、具有宣泄作用的体验。至于歌词部分，它们均非出自我的手笔。这张专辑中的每一个字句均完全由LordSir7PeleS独立创作而成。他拥有扭曲的想象力以及将恐怖、污秽与人性衰败转化为某种近乎仪式感的天然天赋。他的灵感源自现实生活中的残酷景象、社会的虚伪行径、古老的恐怖美学风格，以及人类既是捕食者又是猎物这一观念。他全盘负责所有创作工作，在自己的工作室里录制所有声乐部分，随后将曲目发送给我，以便我将其融入音乐之中。他富有诗意的世界与我独特的音乐手法相结合，正是这种结合赋予了Purgatório Bestial其独特的身份一种声音与文字之间的平衡，两者相互依存，共同营造出某种腐朽且毫不妥协的氛围。

This one goes straight to the heart of what Purgatório Bestial is about. Our music revolves around themes of decay, violence, spiritual collapse, and the grotesque side of existence. We dive into the filth of the human condition, the brutality of the flesh, and the idea that suffering isn’t an exception but a cycle that keeps repeating itself. That’s why the album is called Ciclo Infernal: everything rots, everything dies, everything returns. It’s not about shock value, it’s about capturing the raw, ugly atmosphere that feels natural to us. Extreme music should reflect the darker corners of reality, not hide from them. We chose this theme because it mirrors the world we see around us. Hypocrisy, corruption, misery, violence, all of it feeds into the lyrical universe. The songs exaggerate these elements into a hellish landscape, but the roots are very real. It’s our way of turning disgust into sound, transforming the worst parts of existence into something visceral and cathartic. As for the lyrics, none of them were written by me. Every single word on this album was created exclusively by LordSir7PeleS. He has a twisted imagination and a natural talent for turning horror, filth, and human decay into something that feels like a ritual. His inspirations come from the brutality of real life, the hypocrisy of society, old horror aesthetics, and the idea that humanity is both predator and prey. He wrote everything, recorded all the vocals in his own studio, and then sent me the tracks so I could integrate them into the music. The combination of his lyrical world and my sonic approach is what gives Purgatório Bestial its identity, a balance between sound and word, both feeding off each other to create something rotten and uncompromising.

V: 你的标志设计非常独特。是谁为你设计了这个标志？你的专辑封面设计得十分精美。是谁为你设计了这张专辑封面？

Your logo design is very unique. Who designed the logo for you? Your album artwork is beautifully designed. Who designed this album artwork for you?

M: 这个标识是由我设计的，但不是手工完成的，而是通过数字化手段创建的。我追求的是某种原始、扭曲且带有本能色彩的东西，但同时又融入了设计的意图。其理念是让它呈现出一种野性而混乱的视觉效果，避免落入许多现代乐队惯用的过于精致、过于对称的风格。尽管是在电脑上完成的，但我力求保留那种地下风格，近乎“粗糙”的感觉，就像是在金属上刻下的印记。它必须展现出敌意、原始感并立即与Purgatório Bestial的氛围紧密相连。

The logo was designed by me, but not by hand, it was created digitally. I wanted something raw, crooked, and instinctive, but still shaped with intention. The idea was to make it look like something feral and chaotic, without falling into the overly polished, overly symmetrical style that a lot of modern bands use. Even though it was done on the computer, I tried to keep that underground, almost “scratched” feeling, like a mark burned into metal. It had to look hostile, primitive, and instantly tied to the atmosphere of Purgatório Bestial.

V: 你还是选择了Prophetic Productions为你发行这张专辑。你是怎么联系这家厂牌合作的？你对这个品牌的工作满意吗？

You still chose Prophetic Productions to release this album for you. How did you get in touch with this label to collaborate? Are you satisfied with the job at this brand?

M: 再次与预言制作合作是最自然的选择。我认识Vasco Reigota多年，他已经发布了我的另外两个项目Nekromatics和Apocryphal Wound，所以我们已经建立了建立在信任和相互尊重上的稳固关系。但事情更深层次：Vasco还发布了LordSir7PeleS的项目。他了解我们的作品、我们的声音、我们的态度，也完全明白我们想要释放出什么样的污秽。正因为这段历史，谈话很简单。当Purgatório Bestial和Nox Infernum成形时，我们进行了交流，Vasco立刻表现出发布两部作品的兴趣。没有协商，没有犹豫，只是继续一段在地下世界自然成长的关系。瓦斯科动作快，工作出色，且知道自己在做什么。他是少数真正关心音乐和背后人物的厂牌老板之一。

Working with Prophetic Productions again was the most natural choice possible. I’ve known Vasco Reigota for years, and he had already released two of my other projects, Nekromatics and Apocryphal Wound, so there was already a solid relationship built on trust and mutual respect. But it goes even deeper than that: Vasco has also released projects from LordSir7PeleS. He knows our work, our sound, our attitude, and he understands exactly what kind of filth we want to unleash. Because of that history, the conversation was simple. When Purgatório Bestial and Nox Infernum were taking shape, we talked, and Vasco immediately showed interest in releasing both. There was no negotiation, no hesitation, just a continuation of a relationship that has been growing naturally through the underground. Vasco works fast, works well, and knows what he’s doing. He’s one of those rare label owners who actually cares about the music and the people behind it. So yes, I’m absolutely satisfied with the work he did. Everything was smooth, professional, and aligned with the spirit of the band. It’s the kind of collaboration that feels effortless because everyone involved speaks the same underground language.

First of all, congratulations to your band for releasing their first official album this year, which includes the darkness of black metal, the brutality of death metal, and the aggressiveness of Thrash Metal. Do you have any thoughts on your own works?

thank you for the kind words. Releasing this first official album really meant a lot to us, especially because it captures exactly the kind of chaos and darkness we wanted to unleash. When I look at the final result, I feel that Ciclo Infernal represents our identity in a very honest way. The blend of black metal darkness, death metal brutality, and thrash metal aggression wasn’t something we planned or forced; it’s simply what comes out naturally when we create. Those influences are part of who we are, so the music ends up reflecting that mix without us even thinking about it. What I appreciate most about this album is how instinctive it feels. The songs were born from raw energy, no overthinking, no polishing, no attempts to fit into any specific subgenre. Just pure expression. When I finished the instrumental foundations, I already felt the album had a strong personality. But once LordSir7PeleS added his lyrics and vocals, everything gained a deeper, more ritualistic dimension. His writing brings a sense of decay, violence, and spiritual collapse that fits perfectly with the atmosphere I had created musically. He didn’t just write lyrics, he built an entire world of filth and suffering around the songs. And then, when D‑Void added those insane, unhinged solos, the whole thing reached its final form. His contribution added a layer of chaos and unpredictability that elevated the album even further. In the end, Ciclo Infernal feels like the perfect combination of our different energies: my sonic foundation, LordSir7PeleS’s lyrical and vocal madness, and D‑Void’s explosive guitar work.

V: 你们乐队今年有什么新作品要做？你能和大家分享一些信息吗？

What new work does your band have to do this year? Can you share some information with everyone?

M: 目前我们的重点非常明确：我们全力以赴与Prophetical Productions一起推广这张专辑。这是我们和瓦斯科共同努力的成果，确保"Ciclo Infernal"能传达到地下世界的每一个角落，正如它所属的地方。这个阶段很重要，因为专辑还很新鲜，我们希望大家能在进入下一个攻击前充分吸收污秽。至于今年的新作品......目前还没有明确的定义，这正是我们所喜欢的。我们不强迫创造力，也不像企业乐队那样计划事情。在我们这里，事情发生在需要的时候。也许明天我们会醒来，脑海中又是一次想法的爆炸，也许几个月后，但了解我们的思维方式，下一部作品很可能会比这部首张专辑更腐朽、更颓废、更暴力。目前，我们让"Ciclo Infernal"自由呼吸、感染和传播。未来将会到来，当我们脑海中的混乱需要再次释放。

Right now our focus is very clear: we’re fully dedicated to promoting this album together with Prophetical Productions. It’s a mutual effort between us and Vasco, making sure Ciclo Infernal reaches every corner of the underground where it belongs. This phase is important, because the album is fresh and we want people to absorb the filth properly before we move on to the next attack. As for new work this year… nothing is defined yet, and that’s exactly how we like it. We don’t force creativity or plan things like a corporate band. With us, things happen when they need to happen. Maybe tomorrow we wake up with another explosion of ideas, maybe in a few months, but knowing how our minds work, it’s very possible that the next thing will be even more rotten, more decadent, and more violent than this debut. For now, we let Ciclo Infernal breathe, infect, and spread. The future will come when the chaos inside our heads demands another release.

You are a very young band, and I will always pay attention to and support your band. The interview is coming to an end, do you have anything you want to say to your Chinese fans and friends at the end?
