X元素 - 西班牙Grindcore乐队xNERVIx专访

今天采访到的是来自西班牙的Old School Grindcore乐队xNERVIx，成立于2022年的xNERVIx乐队，最初乐队成员想组建一支受到Fastcore，Hardcorepunk，Grind等风格影响的乐队并且马上组建了这支乐队，不久之后贝斯手Emilio加入乐队，NERVI的意思是神经的意思，但是成员发现很多乐队都在使用这个名字，所以成员在名字上加入了x区分和其他相同名字的乐队，组建不久之后乐队发行了第一首单曲“Una verdad, un engaño”，这首单曲是乐队翻唱西班牙老牌Hardcorepunk乐队E-150的单曲，随后乐队和比利时老牌的Old School Grindcore乐队Agathocles乐队合作发行了一张Spilt专辑，2023年发行了一张“Directe Sala Zero”专辑，这张专辑是乐队发行的一张现场录音专辑，2024年乐队发行了三张专辑作品，如果你喜欢Old School Grindcore，Hardcorepunk等风格的歌迷，请一定要注意xNERVIx乐队的专辑，绝对不会让你失望，

Today's interview is with xNERVIx, an Old School Grindcore band from Spain. xNERVIx was formed in 2022, initially the band members wanted to form a band with influences from Fastcore, Hardcorepunk, Grind and other genres and formed the band right away, soon after bassist Emilio joined the band. Emilio joined the band, NERVI means Nervous, but the members realised that a lot of bands were using this name, so they added an x to the name to differentiate it from other bands with the same name, and soon after the formation of the band the band released their first single, ‘Una verdad, un engaño’, which was the first single to be released. Una verdad, un engaño’, a cover of Spanish Hardcorepunk veterans E-150, followed by a collaboration with Belgian veterans Old School Grindcore In 2023 the band released ‘Directe Sala Zero’, an album of live recordings, and in 2024 the band released three albums, if you like Old School Grindcore, Hardcorepunk, or any of the other bands in the world. Hello Marc we meet again, this interview is about another band you are involved in xNERVIx, a new band formed in 2022, how did you form this band in the first place and does the name xNERVIx mean anything?

Hello, xNERVIx was formed in mid-2022, Jordi “Bufa” and I Marc talking about making a fast hardcore band, and we decided to make the band to make it as fast as we could, so we get a mix within Fastcore with a lot of touches of hardcorepunk and Grind traits. While we were talking about what instruments we could play, the two of us decided that Jordi “Bufa” would be the vocalist since he had a friend Enric who played the guitar and hi was going to ask him if he would join the band, and I would join the drums, since it is very difficult to find drums for any style, a week later the three of us made the first contact, and it was very satisfactory, we left the rehearsal very happy, we recorded that moment to remember the riff of the song we released, Jordi passed that recording on to another friend of ours Emilio, and upon listening to him said that he wanted to join the band as a bassist, he had never played the bass, he bought one, I went to his house one day to teach him two things so that he could make noise with the bass and to the next rehearsal there We had him, he quickly learned to play the strings and the songs we were making. xNERVIx, means nerve, we looked for a name that would match the band to do something fast with nerve and that's how we gave it, the two “X” because we saw a band with the same name and so we had our personal touch and made it different from the other band. 3 of the 4 members are straight edge.

Each member of your band is an experienced musician in writing grindcore music, how do you write your songs and can you describe the creative process?

M: Jordi和Enric曾在另一支乐队中合作过，他们和Emilio一样都是Hardcore/Punk场景中的老手，Emilio年轻时曾组建过一支Punk乐队并打过鼓，从那时起直到现在都没有演奏过乐器，除了在这里的Hardcore/Punk场景中，他们还听过从Punk Rock到Grindcore等各种风格的音乐。因此，在写歌词和歌曲时没有任何问题，每个人都贡献出自己的一粒沙子，我们就能把歌曲融合在一起。自从我在上世纪80年代末听到Napalm Death的"Scum"和Carcass的"Reck of Putrefaction"后，我就喜欢上了Grindcore音乐，尽管我已经听过所有的Metal, Heavy Metal /Thrash Metal......以及Hardcore/Punk音乐。

Jordi and Enric had already played together in another band, they are already veteran people in the hardcore/punk scene like Emilio, what Emilio had a punk band when he was young and banged on the drums, from then on there was no played an instrument until now, apart from being in the hardcore punk scene here they listen to all kinds of styles from punk rock to grindcore. So when it comes to writing lyrics and songs there is no problem, everyone contributes their grain of sand and we fit the songs together. Ever since I heard Napalm Death's Scum and Carcass' Reck of Putrefaction at the end of the 80's, I have been into the Grindcore scene, although I already listened to all metal, heavy metal /thrash metal… and hardcore/punk.

V: 你们的录音非常出色，每个细节都听得非常清楚，请问你们是在哪个录音棚录制的专辑？哪位制作人制作了你们的专辑？

Your recordings are excellent, every detail can be heard very clearly, which studio did you record the album in? Which producer made your album?

M: 与Agathocles合作的7 “EP是在我家”infecció DIY studies"录制和混音的，Spilt LP是在我们附近一个小镇的Refugi录音室由Albert Recasens录制的，吉他是Enric在他家录制的，其余的都是在录音室录制的并由我的一个朋友、来自Grindahause录音室的Ton Moreno混音。

The split 7”ep with Agathocles was recorded and mixted at my home “infecció DIY studies” the split LP It was recorded in a studio in a town near us by Albert Recasens at Refugi Recording studio, the guitars were recorded by Enric at his house, the rest was all in the studio and mixed by a friend of mine Ton Moreno from Grindahause studio.

V: 你们乐队的音乐主题是什么，为什么选择这个主题，想通过它表达什么？你们有没有创作歌词部分，这些歌词是谁创作的，他的灵感来自于什么？

What is the theme of your band's music about, why did you choose it and what do you want to express through it? Do you guys write any lyrics parts and do you write those lyrics as well? What inspired him?

We decide our theme together, each one contributes their ideas and we adjust to what we have in mind for the band, normally the lyrics are written by Jordi, Emilio also writes some lyrics and we have also had some collaborators. The lyrics talk about many things, about everything that happens every day and what generally affects us all, some examples: anti politics, anti capitalism, shit system, animal liberation....

V: 你们的Logo设计非常简单，但我非常喜欢这种设计方式，因为我很容易就能记住你们的名字，这个Logo是谁为你们设计的？你们的专辑封面也很特别，是谁为你们设计的？

Your logo design is very simple, but I really like this way of designing because I can easily remember your name, who designed this logo for you? Your album artwork is also very special, who designed the artwork for you?

M: 是的，Logo是由Jordi "Bufa"设计的，他制作了Logo，封面图是由一个来自印度尼西亚的人绘制的，看起来非常不错，然后Jodi添加了一些小细节，这样就有了我们的个人风格。

Yes, the logo was designed by Jordi "Bufa", he made the logo, the cover drawing was done by a guy from Indonesia, it looked very good, then Jodi added some small details so that it had our personal touch.

V: 你们已经发行了六张专辑作品，这些专辑目前是只有数字版还是已经发行了CD版？我记得你们与Agathocles合作的Spilt专辑是在你们的厂牌Infeccio Underground prods上发行的。

You've released six album artworks, are these albums currently only available digitally or have they been released on CD? I remember your Spilt album with Agathocles was released on your label Infeccio Underground prods.

We have only physically edited the 7" split with Agathocles I edited it I used my micro label infecció underground prods, in limited edition. In our band camp there have been several previews of both the split with Agathocles and what is being finished preparing the 12"LP shared with our friends Manifestation of terror from Salamanca，We also have a limited digipack CD of our first live gig.

I just listened to all the albums on your band's Bnadcamp, you are an Old School Grindcore band, the chaotic noisy riffs are very vintage, the drummer is very consistent, and you've added more elements of fastcore and powerviolence to the mix. Violence, do you have any thoughts on your work?

V: 你们在2024年或2025年还有什么计划，比如创作、录制新歌或发行全新专辑？能向大家透露一些信息吗？

What else do you guys have going on in 2024 or 2025, like writing, recording some new songs or releasing a brand new album? Can you reveal some information to everyone?

M: 我们正在制作与朋友Manifestation of terror合作的12寸Spilt以便尽快发行限量300张，将由Romantic songs records和Infeccio Underground prods等多家唱片公司发行。我们已经准备好了4-5首新歌，可以在现场演奏，我们也将尽快录制这些新歌并为明年的新作品做准备。

We are working on our split 12" LP with our friends Manifestation of terror, so that it comes out as soon as possible limited to 300 copies, it will be released on several labels including Romantic songs records and Infeccio Underground prods. We already have 4-5 new songs ready to play live, and as soon as we can we will record them too, and working on new material for next year.

V: 作为一个全新的乐队，你参加过任何音乐节或现场演出吗？你能描述一下那里的氛围吗？你计划在2025年举办任何新的演出吗？

As a brand new band, have you played any festivals or live shows where you can describe the atmosphere and are you planning on playing any new shows in 2025?

M: 是的，我们在国内与一些乐队举行过几次演出，如在塔拉戈纳市的Once Upon a Time、Fissura以及在我所在的Castellvell DC与Purin、Leyrumana。我们曾多次接到在音乐节上演出的提议，但由于工作和个人原因我们未能成行,希望在2025年我们能做更多的事情。

Yes we play few gigs in our country with some bands, Once Upon a Time, Fissura in Tarragona city, and with Purin, Leyrumana in my Town Castellvell DC We have had several proposals to play at some festival but due to work and personal issues we have not been able to. Let's hope that in 2025 we can do more things
