今天采访到的是来自瑞典的单人项目Anthyr，由Anthorax在2023年创建，受到Melodic Death/Black Metal风格影响的项目，2023年的第一张EP专辑“Begynnelsen”发行之后便受到了广泛的关注，优美，凶狠的旋律给人留下了深刻的印象，其中冰冷，阴暗的Black Metal元素更是添加了这张作品的氛围感，体现出柔与美的感觉，2024年的两首单曲更是完美的演绎出Melodic Death/Black Metal的凶狠和美感，2026年Anthorax发行了他的第一张专辑“Tidens famn”，新专辑发行之际杂志与Anthorax取得联系进行了一次专访！

Today, we feature an interview with Anthyr, a one-man project from Sweden founded by Anthorax in 2023. Heavily influenced by melodic death and black metal, the project garnered widespread attention following the release of its debut EP, *Begynnelsen*, in 2023. The EP left a lasting impression with its blend of beautiful yet ferocious melodies, while the cold, somber elements of black metal added a distinct atmospheric depth—evoking a sense of both delicacy and beauty. Two singles released in 2024 further showcased a perfect synthesis of the ferocity and aesthetic grace inherent in the melodic death/black metal style. In 2026, Anthorax unveiled his first full-length album, *Tidens famn*; to mark the occasion, our magazine reached out to him for an exclusive interview!

V: 你好，Anthorax！很高兴见到你，也非常感谢你接受这次采访。这应该是你第一次接受中国杂志的采访吧？不如先向中国的乐迷们打个招呼？Anthyr成立于2023年——这是一支非常年轻的乐队——你是如何组建起这支乐队的呢？另外，“Anthyr”这个名字背后有什么特殊的含义吗？

Hello, Anthorax! It’s a pleasure to meet you, and thank you so much for taking part in this interview. I believe this is your first time being interviewed by a Chinese magazine, so perhaps you could start by saying hello to all your Chinese fans? Anthyr was formed in 2023—it’s a very young band—so how did you go about putting it together? And is there any particular meaning behind the name "Anthyr"?

A: 中国的朋友们，大家好！其实，我多年来一直都有重拾创作的想法，而2023年的夏天恰好是个合适的时机。“Anthyr”这个名字融合了我的一个旧昵称、一位神祇或许还代表着某种心境。它可以有不同的解读，也可以完全没有特定含义。

Greetings China! Well it had been in my mind for many years to start writing again, summer of 2023 was just the right time. The name Anthyr is a mix of and old nickname, a god and perhaps a state of mind. It could mean different things or nothing at all.

V: 首先，祝贺你今年发行了首张全长专辑。你的作品融合了Atmospheric Black Metal和Melodic Death Metal的元素，在动人的旋律、深邃的氛围以及生动的叙事基础上，构建出一种宏大且令人沉浸其中的体验。你自己是如何看待这部作品的呢？

First of all, congratulations on the release of your debut full-length album this year. Your work blends elements of atmospheric black metal and melodic death metal, building a grand, immersive experience upon a foundation of striking melodies, profound atmosphere, and vivid storytelling. What are your own thoughts on your work?

A: 谢谢。我认为，这部作品中蕴含的情感与思考，深受我多年来所接触的斯堪的纳维亚金属乐的影响。没错，旋律几乎始终是引导创作方向的核心。

Thank you. I would say its feelings and thoughts influenced by a lifetime of Scandinavian metal. And yes, it's almost always the melodies that guide the way.

V: 这张专辑的灵感来源是什么？有哪些乐队对你产生过影响？能列举几支你最喜欢的乐队吗？

What was the inspiration behind this album? Which bands have influenced you—could you name a few of your favorites?

A: 很难说具体是什么激发了这张专辑的创作，但我可以列举几支我至今仍在聆听并非常欣赏的乐队（排名不分先后）：Unanimated、Gates of Ishtar、Mörk Gryning、Lord Belial、Nordjevel、Horn、Kvaen以及Wormwood等等。

Well I cannot say what inspired me to this album, but I can name a few bands that I still listen to and admire. In no specific order: Unanimated, Gates of Ishtar, Mörk Gryning, Lord Belial, Nordjevel, Horn, Kvaen, Wormwood As a few.

V: 由于你是乐队唯一的成员，创作过程想必相当自由——你可以完全按照自己的构想来打造音乐。能跟我们分享一下你的创作流程吗？我想这一定是一项既复杂又耗费心力的工作吧！

Since you are the sole member of the band, the creative process must be quite convenient—you’re free to craft songs exactly as you envision them. Could you walk us through your creative process? I imagine it’s a rather elaborate and demanding undertaking!

A: 如今空闲时间非常宝贵，因此在工作和其他项目之余，完成这些创作确实需要投入大量的时间。首张EP"Begynnelsen"的制作大约耗时5个月，期间我利用了所有可能的周末空闲时间。制作"Tidens famn"的过程则大不相同；起初我的目标是尝试各种不同的东西，但由于整个过程持续了近3年……它经历的改动比预想的要多得多。

Since free time is something rare these days it all takes a lot of time in between work and other projects. The first EP Begynnelsen took only around 5 months with using all free time on weekends that were possibly. Tidens famn were quite different to work with, since starting out the goal were to try different things but since it almost took 3 years.. it changed more times than needed.

V: 你们的标志设计非常简洁，但在具体呈现上又蕴含着某种复杂性。这个标志是谁设计的？专辑封面也设计得非常精美——这是出自谁之手？

Your logo design is quite simple, yet it reveals a level of complexity in its execution. Who designed this logo for you? Your album artwork is also beautifully designed—who created that for you?

A: 标志是我自己设计的，当时的想法就是想营造出一种90年代的风格。专辑封面由Marta Danadotter创作，她此前也曾为其他乐队设计过封面。

I made the logo, only thought were to give it a 90s feel. Album cover art is made by Marta Danadotter , she have made a few for other bands in the past.

V: 你们的音乐主题围绕着“维京人”展开——为什么选择这个主题？你们希望通过它表达什么？歌词也是由你创作的，灵感来源是什么？

Your musical theme centers on the Vikings—why did you choose this theme, and what do you aim to express through it? You also wrote the lyrics; what served as the inspiration for them?

A: 维京人、北欧原始信仰以及我们斯堪的纳维亚的根源。对我而言，铭记并表达我们祖先的信仰，以及这些信仰如何塑造了他们的生活，是非常重要的。

Vikings, Asatro, our Scandinavian roots. It is important to me to be reminded and express our ancestors beliefs and how it shaped their lives.

V: 你们今年发行了首张正式专辑，但目前仅以数字形式发布。是否有考虑过发行CD或其他实体版本？目前是否在与任何唱片厂牌洽谈合作事宜？

You released your first official album this year, but it was only made available in a digital format. Have you considered releasing it on CD or in any other format? Are you currently in touch with any record labels regarding a potential collaboration?

A: 我确实有计划在未来推出实体版本（CD或黑胶唱片），希望能在下一张专辑中实现。目前还没有与任何厂牌建立联系。

I have a vision to release on physical (CD/Vinyl) in the future. Hopefully next album. No contact with labels at the moment.

V: 在这张专辑发行之后，你们还有什么后续计划？比如创作或录制新的作品？能和大家分享一些细节吗？

What other projects do you have lined up following the release of this album—perhaps composing or recording new material? Could you share some details with everyone?

A: Anthyr的新作品已经在筹备中了。与此同时，我的另一个黑金属项目“Folktro”也可能会有新的作品发布。

Work on new material for Anthyr are already in process. Meanwhile releases with my other black metal project Folktro could happen.

V: 你是一位出色的音乐人，Anthyr也是一支非常优秀的乐队。我会继续关注并支持你和你的乐队。也希望通过这次访谈，能让更多中国的乐迷发现并支持你们。在访谈结束之际，你有什么想对中国乐迷说的吗？

You are an exceptional musician, and Anthyr is a truly outstanding band. I will continue to follow and support both you and your group. I also hope that this interview will help more fans in China discover and support you and your band. As we wrap up this interview, is there anything you would like to say to your Chinese fans?
