今天采访到的是来自芬兰的Thrash / Heavy Metal乐队Midjungards，最初一支名为Hell Train大的乐队解散并且在2011年举办了第一次音乐会，乐队成员并不想结束自己的音乐生涯，于是Midjungards诞生了，但是直到2022年乐队才开始创作歌曲，所以乐队成员决定2022年是乐队的成立时间，2022年乐队发行了第一首单曲“Hordes of Hate”这是一首令所有人兴奋大的作品，优美的旋律，受到了传统风格的影响，吉他犀利，连续快速的Riff，给所有歌迷留下了深刻印象，鼓手精准的打击和丰富的变化，可以感受到鼓手的技术非常娴熟，歌手高亢激昂的演唱，也丰富这首歌曲的表现力，这首单曲发行之后收到了西班牙Dark Rails Records厂牌的关注并且与乐队签约，2023年乐队在Dark Rails Records厂牌发行了第一张正式专辑“From Scandza”，一张精彩绝伦的作品诞生了，10首歌曲45分钟给所有歌迷奉献一次绝佳的试听盛宴，2024年乐队发行了第二张正式专辑“When Empires Fall”，依旧是一张更加精彩的作品，2024 - 2025年期间乐队保持着旺盛的创作精力创作，发行了10首单曲，在新单曲发行之际杂志乐队的歌手Toni Cano取得联系进行了一次专访！

Today's interview features the Finnish Thrash/Heavy Metal band Midjungards. Originally part of a band called Hell Train, the group disbanded and held their first concert in 2011. The band members did not want to end their musical careers, so Midjungards was formed. However, it wasn't until 2022 that the band began creating songs, so the members decided to mark 2022 as the band's official founding year. In 2022, the band released their first single, “Hordes of Hate,” a thrilling track with beautiful melodies influenced by traditional styles, sharp guitar riffs, and rapid-fire riffs that left a lasting impression on fans. The drummer's precise beats and dynamic variations showcase their exceptional technical skill. The singer's powerful and passionate vocals further enhanced the song's expressiveness. After the single's release, it caught the attention of the Spanish label Dark Rails Records, which signed the band. In 2023, the band released their first official album, “From Scandza,” under Dark Rails Records, a truly remarkable work. With 10 tracks spanning 45 minutes, it offered fans an exceptional auditory experience. In 2024, the band released their second official album, “When Empires Fall,” which was equally impressive. Between 2024 and 2025, the band maintained their creative momentum, releasing 10 singles. As the new single was released, the magazine reached out to the band's singer, Toni Cano, for an exclusive interview!

Hello brother, nice to meet you and thank you very much for participating in this interview. I think this is the first time your band has been interviewed by a Chinese magazine. First of all, let me say hello to all Chinese fans and friends. Midjungards was founded in 2022 and is a very young band. How did you form this band in the first place?

T: 你好，很高兴见到你，非常感谢你接受我们的采访。是的，这是我们第一次接受中国杂志的采访，我们对此感到非常高兴。向所有中国的粉丝和朋友们问好！Midjungards自2006年Hell Train乐队解散后成立并于2011年10月22日在塞达维的黑暗酒吧举办了首场音乐会，但由于个人原因，乐队直到2022年才开始正式工作。

Hello nice to mmet you and thank you very much for making this interview. Yes, this is the first time that we are interviewed by a Chinese magazine and we are very happy for that. Hi to all Chinese fans and friends! Well, Midjungards exists since 2006 after band Hell-Train broke up and makes its first concert on 22.10.2011 Pub Darkness, Sedavi, but for personal reasson it is not untill 2022 that the band starts to work in a serous way.

V: 在2024年更换贝斯手Guillermo Roig，第一代贝斯手为何离开了你们的乐队？新成员是如何加入乐队的？你对新成员的工作满意吗？

Why did the first generation bassist leave your band after changing bassist Guillermo Roig in 2024? How did the new members join the band? Are you satisfied with the new member's job?

T: 第一代乐队离开乐队是因为我们在音乐上有分歧，正如你所说，Guillermo Roig于2024年加入乐队。是他联系的我，因为他知道我们正在寻找一位新的贝斯手。他现在和ur合作得很好。

The first generation band left the band because we had some musical differences and as you said Guillermo Roig joined the band in 2024. He was the one that contacted me because he knew that we were looking for a new bassist. He is doing a very good job with ur right now.

V: 能否介绍一下你们的创作过程？

Can you introduce your creative process?

T: 目前，每小时的创作过程都非常紧凑。我们花了6个月的时间来创作这张专辑并用音乐符号记录下我们所有的创作。在此期间，我们会获得一些想法，然后将其转换成旋律并将其编排成歌曲。然后，在接下来的6个月里，我们会专注于歌曲的录制和最终音效，其中包括修改歌曲的某些部分，以提高最终效果。

Currently, hour creative process is very intesive. We spend 6 months composing the album, and writting down in music notation all our composition. During this period we get the ideas and we convert them in riff and structure them as songs. After that, for the next 6 months we focus in the recording and the final sound of the songs, that could include modify parts of the song if that improved the final result.

V: 你们乐队的所有作品都有出色的录音效果。你们的专辑是在哪个录音棚录制的？哪位制作人为你们制作了这张专辑？新单曲的录制过程顺利吗？

All of your band's works have excellent recording effects. Which studio did you record your album in? Which producer made the album for you? Did the recording process of your new single go smoothly?

T: 谢谢。我很高兴你喜欢我们在Finnvox工作室录制的"Ravens And Eagles"。这张专辑是我们自己制作的，因为我们花了6个月的时间来计划制作，所以我们有时间取得好成绩。新单曲的录制过程非常顺利，我们在Finnvox工作室用两周时间录制了整张专辑。

Thanks. I am happy that you liked the recording for Ravens And Eagles we recorded in Finnvox Studios. We produced the album ourselfs, as we are spending 6 months on planning the productions we have time to achieve good results. The recording process of our new single was done was smoothly, we recorded the full album during two weeks in Finnvox Studios.

V: 你们乐队的Logo设计非常独特。谁为你们设计了这个Logo？你们的专辑封面设计也很精美。谁为你们设计了这些作品？

Your band's logo design is very unique. Who designed this logo for you? Your album artwork is also beautifully designed. Who designed these artworks for you?

T: 谢谢。乐队的Logo是由艺术家Madness设计的，他住在巴伦西亚，但原籍是尼加拉瓜。我们非常欣赏他的作品。第一张专辑的设计也是由他完成的，但第二张和第三张专辑的设计我们决定自己完成。

Thank you. The band's logo design was done by the artists Madness, he lives in Valencia, but he is original from Nicaragua. We are very with his work. The artwork of the first album was also done by him, but for the second and thirs album we decided to do the design ourself.

V: 你们的音乐主题是什么？你们为什么选择这个音乐主题，想通过这个音乐主题表达什么？你们还创作了歌词部分。这些歌词是谁创作的？

What is the theme of your music about? Why did you choose this music theme, and what do you want to express through this music theme? You also created the lyrics section. Who created these lyrics and what inspired them?

T: 主题和歌词的灵感来源于古代哥特人的历史。在乐队中，我们非常喜欢Viking Metal音乐，但我们认为，关于维京人的乐队太多了，再做一个新的乐队根本不是原创。这就是为什么我们决定演唱古代哥特人的歌曲，因为他们与维京人相似，但这也给了我们一些原创性。

The theme and lyrics and inspired in the history of the ancient goths. In the band we liked very much viking metal music, but we think that there are so many bands that about vikings that making a new one will not be original at all. This is why decided to sing about the ancient Goths, because they are simiilar to vikingss, but it also give us some originallity.

V: 你们一直与西班牙厂牌 Dark Rails Records 合作发行专辑，这个厂牌非常有趣。他们选择关闭这个厂牌，但仍在发行作品。能介绍一下这个厂牌吗？你对这个品牌的工作满意吗？

You have been collaborating with the Spanish label Dark Rails Records to release albums, and this label is very interesting. They have chosen to close the label, but are still releasing works. Can you introduce this label? Are you satisfied with the job at this brand?

T: Dark Rails Records是与Hell Train共同创建的一个小厂牌。我们对Dark Rails Records目前所做的工作感到满意。

Dark Rails Records is modest label that was created with Hell-Train. We are happy with the work that Dark Rails Records has done so far.

V: 首先，祝贺你们乐队今年发行了最新单曲。你们的乐队受到了传统重金属的影响，优美而快速的 Riff 给人一种热血沸腾的感觉。你们的旋律非常优美，富有攻击性，主唱的声音干净而凶猛。您如何看待你们的作品？

First of all, congratulations to your band for releasing their latest single this year. Your band has been influenced by traditional heavy metal, and the beautiful and fast Riff gives a feeling of boiling blood. Your melody is very beautiful, aggressive, and the lead singer's voice is clean and fierce. What do you think of your work?

T: 谢谢那你的评价。我想你说的是 “From Slave to Kings”，我们对这首歌的效果很满意。说实话，与其他歌曲相比，我们得到了歌迷更好的反响。有时会发生这样的情况，你认为歌迷更喜欢某首歌曲，但在查看了歌迷的反应后，你发现他们更喜欢另一首你认为并不重要的歌曲。

Thanks for your words. I suppose that you are talking about "From Slave to Kings", we are happy with the result of this song. To be honest, we got better response from fans than with other songs, and to be honest we do not why. Sometimes that happens, you think that the better song for the fans is some song, but after checking the reactions of the fans you noticed that they liked more another song that you didnot consider so important.

V: 作为一支年轻的新乐队，你们参加过现场表演吗？哪些现场表演给你们留下了深刻的印象？你们乐队在2025年有什么新的演出计划吗？

As a new young band, have you participated in any live performances? What live performances have left a deep impression on you? Do you have any new performance plans for your band in 2025?

T: Midjungards到目前为止已经进行了24场现场表演。到目前为止，我们最好的演出是在西班牙卡塔赫纳举行的Rock Imperium音乐节。能和 Kiss 这样的乐队在同一个音乐节上演出真是太棒了。2025年3月，我们与 Verikallpa 乐队在芬兰举行了两场音乐会，我们对那次演出的效果非常满意。现在，我们正在准备2025年秋季在西班牙巴塞罗那、马德里和毕尔巴鄂的三场演出。这是我们第一次独自前往西班牙，我们非常期待能有精彩的演出。

Midjungards has performed until now 24 live performances. Until know the best performance that we had was a Rock Imperium Festival in Cartagena, Spain. It was amazing to play in the same festival with bands like Kiss. We played in March 2025 in Finland two concert with Verikallpa, and we were very happy with the sound that we acchieved that time. We are now preparing a spanish your in Spain ini Fall 2025 with 3 shows in Baarcelona, Madrid and Bilbao. Is the first time that we go to Spain alon and we are very really forward to make amazing shows.

V: 你们刚刚发行了最新单曲，接下来乐队还需要做些什么？你们已经发行了很多单曲，这是否预示着新专辑即将发行？能和大家分享一些信息吗？

You just released your latest single, so what other work does your band need to do next? You have released many singles, does it indicate that a new album is about to be released? Can you share some information with everyone?

T: 当然。我们发行的上一张专辑是专辑"Ravens And Eagles"的第9首单曲，我们将在2025年8月底发行这张专辑。但我们不会就此止步，我们很快就会宣布第四张专辑即将发行。

Sure. Last album that we released is the 9th single of the album Ravens And Eagles, and we will release the album by the end of August 2025. But we donot stop here, we will annouce soon that our 4th album will be ready soon.

V: 虽然你们是一支年轻的乐队，但你们是一支非常有前途的乐队。我会一直关注和支持你们的乐队。我也希望通过这次采访，能有更多的人关注和支持你们的乐队。最后，你们有什么话想对中国的歌迷朋友们说吗？

Although you are a young band, you are a very promising band. I will always pay attention to and support your band. I also hope that through this interview, more people will pay attention to and support your band. Do you have anything you want to say to your Chinese fans and friends in the end?
