今天采访到的是来自意大利的Progressive Metal乐队Isometry，组建于2022年的Isometry乐队是一支非常年轻的乐队，乐队的四名成员也是多年的好友，其中Luca和Alberto曾经还是同一支乐队的成员，随后Isometry乐队成立，2023年乐队发行了第一张正式专辑“Break the Loop”，宏伟的氛围，优美的旋律，复杂的编曲给所有歌迷留下了深刻印象，鼓手的表现非常稳定，精准，快速的打击，歌手干净，清澈的嗓音也是这张专辑最大的亮点，再加上其中一些笛子演奏的段落让这张专辑的氛围更加的出众，前不杂志与乐队取得联系进行了一次专访！

Today, I interviewed Isometry, a Progressive Metal band from Italy. Isometry, which was founded in 2022, is a very young band. The four members of the band have been friends for many years. Luca and Alberto were once members of the same band, and then Isometry was established. In 2023, the band released its first official album "Break the Loop". The magnificent atmosphere, beautiful melody and complicated arrangement left a deep impression on all fans. The drummer's performance was very stable, accurate and fast, and the singer's clean and clear voice was also the biggest highlight of this album. In addition, some passages played by flutes made the atmosphere of this album more outstanding. The magazine contacted the band for an exclusive interview!

Hello brother, nice to meet you and thank you very much for participating in this interview. I think this is the first time you guys have been interviewed by a Chinese magazine. First of all, say hello to all the Chinese fans. Isometry was formed in 2022 and is a very young band. How did you guys form this band in the first place?
I: 你好！很高兴见到你！是的，这是我们第一次接受中国杂志的采访，我们想首先对所有读者和粉丝表示衷心的感谢！我们中的一些人（项目Shards of Infinity中的Luca and Lorenzo；Legacy of Silence乐队的Luca和Alberto）在Isometry形成之前曾经一起演奏。在发现我们的个性和音乐品味之间存在强烈联系后，这个项目自然而然地诞生了。
Hello! It’s a pleasure to meet you! Yes, this is the very first time we’ve been interviewed by a Chinese magazine, and we’d like to start by saying a big thank you to all the readers and fans! Some of us (Luca and Lorenzo in the project Shards of Infinity; Luca and Alberto in Legacy of Silence band) used to play together before Isometry was formed. The project came to life naturally after discovering a strong connection between our personalities and musical tastes.
V: 你们都是乐队的第一代成员。你们彼此非常了解，我相信这会让写歌变得更容易，因为你知道彼此需要创作什么样子的歌曲。你能谈谈你的创作过程吗
You guys are all first-generation members of the band. You know each other very well, and I’m sure that makes it easier when it comes to songwriting because you know what each other needs to create. Can you talk about your songwriting process?
I: 我们的歌曲创作过程很简单：我们从一个想法开始，然后一起发展，每个人都为自己的乐器部分做出贡献。有时我们中的一人会想出完全结构化的歌曲，在这种情况下其他人更多地关注于完善声音和节奏。我们的优势在于让每个人都能将独特的个性带入歌曲的每一个部分。正如你提到的如此深入地了解彼此肯定在其中发挥了很大的作用。
Our songwriting process is quite simple: we start with an idea, and then we develop it together, with each of us contributing to the parts for their own instrument. Sometimes, one of us comes up with a fully structured song, and in that case, the others focus more on refining the sound and groove. Our strength lies in allowing everyone to bring their unique personality to every part of the song. As you mentioned, knowing each other so well definitely plays a big role in this.

Your band has just released its first official album, which is very impressive in terms of recording results. What studio did you record the album in? Which producer made the album for you?

Your logo is beautifully designed and has a futuristic feel to it. Who designed this logo for you? Your album artwork is also beautiful and has a futuristic feel to it. Who designed this artwork for you?
I: 这个Logo是由我们的乐队成员Luca Capurso在他的兄弟Fulvio的帮助下构思的。为了专辑封面，我们聘请了一位专业平面设计师，他将我们的愿景变成了现实。
The logo was an idea developed by our bandmate Luca Capurso, with the help of his brother Fulvio. For the album artwork, we hired a professional graphic designer who brought our vision to life.

What is the theme of your music about? Why did you choose this musical theme, and what do you want to express through this musical theme? You have also written lyrics. Who wrote these lyrics, and what was his inspiration?
I: 我们专辑的主旨围绕着自决和批判性思维。没有这两个特点，一个人就只是一个机器人，仅仅因为被“编程”而执行任务。歌词是由Luca和他的兄弟Alessandro写的，我们想向他们发送一个虚拟拥抱！
The overarching theme of our album revolves around self-determination and critical thinking.
Without these two traits, a person becomes nothing more than a robot, performing tasks simply because they are “programmed” to. The lyrics were written by Luca and his brother Alessandro, whom we’d like to send a virtual hug to!

You’ve just signed with The Triad Rec, a great Italian label. How did you get in touch with the label to collaborate? Are you happy with their work? I see that you have released your first album on CD. Is this CD your own release?

Yes, Triad Rec is a fantastic label, and they’ve been doing an amazing job with us. We signed with them after a series of virtual meetings where we got to know each other, and a strong synergy was born almost immediately. As for the CDs, we worked with an external manufacturer. Even though streaming platforms dominate the music industry today, we still believe that having a physical copy of an album is meaningful and special. We are now distributing it worldwide thanks to Laser’s Edge (USA) and Just For Kicks (Germany).

First of all, congratulations on the release of your first official album Break the Loop in 2023. Beautiful melodies, great riffs, the drummer’s performance was amazing, and the singer’s clean, clear, powerful voice is the biggest highlight of the album. What do you think of your album? What do you think of your own work?
I: 非常感谢您的美言！我们为最终结果感到非常自豪。对我们来说这是一段充满辛勤工作和巨大回报的美好旅程。我们学到了很多关于自己以及我们作为团队如何互动和协作的知识。在过程结束时我们觉得我们不仅作为音乐家或乐队成长，而且作为个人也成长了。
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re extremely proud of the final result. For us, it was a beautiful journey filled with hard work and great rewards. We learned a lot about ourselves and how we interact and collaborate as a team. By the end of the process, we felt we had grown not just as musicians or a band, but also as individuals.
V: 你们的乐队已经在一起两年了。你们有参加过任何现场演出吗？哪些现场演出给你留下了深刻的印象，你能描述一下当时的环境吗？你们乐队在2025年有什么新的演出计划？
Your band has been together for two years now. Have you played any live shows? What live shows have impressed you, and can you describe the atmosphere? What new shows do you have in store for your band in 2025?
I: 是的，我们在我们的城市（都灵）和周边地区举办过几次现场演出。每场演出都是独一无二的，观众总是非常热情和支持。在2025年我们已经安排了一些现场表演，包括参加Emergenza音乐节。
Yes, we’ve performed several live shows in our city (Turin) and surroundings. Each show was unique, and the audience has was always incredibly warm and supportive. In 2025, we already have some live performances lined up, including our participation in the Emergenza Festival.
V: 作为一个新乐队，你们在2025年有什么新的计划，比如创作或录制新歌或者发行新专辑？你能透露一些吗？
What are some of the new things you have going on as a band in 2025, like creating or recording new songs, or releasing a new album? Can you reveal some of them?
I: 除了Emergenza音乐节，我们已经开始创作新音乐了。我们的计划是先发行一首单曲，然后发行其他单曲，最后再发行新专辑。
Besides the Emergenza Festival, we’ve started working on new music. Our plan is to release a single first, followed by other singles and eventually a new album later on.
V: 尽管你们是一支非常年轻的乐队，但你们是一支非常有前途的乐队。我会一直支持和关注你们的乐队，我希望通过这次采访让更多人关注和支持你们的乐队。最后你们想对中国歌迷说些什么？
Although you are a very young band, you are a very promising band. I will always support and pay attention to your band, and I hope that through this interview more people will pay attention to and support your band. What would you like to say to your Chinese fans in the end?
