今天采访到的是来自意大利的Thrash Metal乐队The Wrestlers，组建于2018年的The Wrestlers乐队是一支老牌的意大利乐队，组建之初乐队并没有定义自己的风格，只是希望演奏自己喜欢的音乐而已，慢慢的乐队形成了自己的风格，组建之后乐队由于阵容的问题，2022年鼓手Samuele Oggiano，贝斯手Simone Mura加入乐队之后乐队在2025年才选择发行了作品，犀利的Riff，具有冲击力的节奏，疯狂的鼓点，高亢激昂的演唱，让这支乐队迅速成为了意大利炙手可热的Thrash Metal乐队之一，2025年乐队发行了第一张正式专辑“The Wrestlers”，在新专辑发行之际乐队与杂志取得联系进行了一次专访！

Hello brother nice to meet you and thank you very much for participating in this interview, I think this is the first time your band has been interviewed by a Chinese magazine, first of all say hello to all the Chinese fans, The Wrestlers were formed in 2018, how did you form the band?

A: 嘿，兄弟，这是我们的荣幸！向支持我们的中国朋友们致敬！乐队诞生于2018年，仅仅是出于对演奏的渴望并没有特定的目标或流派。在接下来的几年里，这个项目逐渐成型。

Hey brother, the pleasure is ours! A shout-out to our Chinese friends who support us! The band was born in 2018 simply out of the desire to play, with no specific goal or genre in mind. The project took shape over the following years.

V: 现在乐队只有Alex一名原始成员，另外两名成员在2022年被替换，第一代成员为什么退出乐队？新成员是如何加入乐队的，你对新成员的表现满意吗？

Now that the band only has one original member, Alex, and the other two members were replaced in 2022, why did the first generation members quit the band? How did the new members join the band and are you happy with what the new members are doing?

A: Alex--我创立了这个项目，但实际上贝斯手Simone Mura也是 2018 年第一代阵容的一员。2022年鼓手Samuele Oggiano组建了完整的阵容。由于个人问题或一些成员的目标与我们不一致，我们曾多次更换阵容。

Alex – I founded the project, but actually the bassist, Simone Mura, was also part of the first lineup back in 2018. The full lineup came together in 2022 with Samuele Oggiano on drums. We had several lineup changes due to personal issues or because some members had goals that didn't match ours.

V: 你们是一群非常有活力的音乐家，你们的作品充满了能量，能描述一下你们的创作过程吗？

You are a very dynamic group of musicians and your work is full of energy, can you describe your creative process?

A: 我们有不同的创作方式。很多歌曲都是一个人在家里写好了歌词，然后带到排练室一起编排。对我们有利的一点是，我们三个人都会弹吉他，这让我们有了更多的创作灵感。

We have different ways of writing. A lot of songs come from riffs written alone at home, then brought into the rehearsal room and arranged all together. One thing that works in our favor is that all three of us play guitar, so that gives us more ideas to work with.

V: 你的每张作品在录制效果方面都很出色，请问你在录制专辑时从事了哪些工作？哪位制作人制作了你的专辑？你们今年刚刚发行了首张正式专辑"The Wrestlers"录制过程如何？

Each of your productions has been outstanding in terms of recording results, which job did you work on is recording the albums? Which producer produced your albums? You just released your first official album this year, “The Wrestlers”, how did the recording process go?

A: 我们的专辑是由Lorenzo Mariani制作的，他带来的想法对最终的声音产生了很大的影响。录音过程非常有创意，因为有些想法是在录音室里产生的，我们在最后一刻改变了很多东西。这对我们来说是最棒的部分之一，因为我们认为在录音过程中也应该有一个创造性的过程，而不仅仅是在录音之前。

Our album was produced by Lorenzo Mariani, who brought ideas that really influenced the final sound. The recording process was super creative because some ideas came up right in the studio, and we changed a lot of things at the last minute. That was one of the best parts for us, because we believe there should be a creative process during recording too, not just before.

V: 你们自己发行了专辑，为什么不选择一家唱片公司为你们发行专辑？你们联系过一些唱片公司吗？

You guys released the album yourselves, why didn't you pick a label to release the album for you? Did you guys contact some labels?

A: 我们没有为这张专辑联系任何唱片公司，因为我们希望这张专辑能完全代表我们的身份，而且我们真的很想独立发行这张专辑。

We didn't reach out to any labels for this album because we wanted it to fully represent our identity, and we really wanted to release it independently.

V: 你的音乐主题是什么？你为什么选择这个音乐主题，你想通过这个音乐主题表达什么？你还创作了歌词部分，这些歌词是谁写的，灵感来源是什么？

What is the theme of your music about? Why did you choose this musical theme and what do you want to express through this musical theme? You also created a lyrics section, who wrote these lyrics and what was his inspiration?

A: 我们的音乐主题围绕人类灵魂的黑暗展开。恋尸癖和强奸等主题最令人不安--我们把这些残酷的现实抛到人们面前，激起人们的厌恶感。另一方面，这张专辑也涉及社会疏离（如金属之父）、破坏性成瘾（如暴力风暴）以及政治和宗教灌输等社会主题。第一张专辑的所有歌词都是我写的，但下一张专辑的歌词我们打算一起写。

Alex – The theme of our music revolves around the darkness of the human soul. Topics like necrophilia and rape are the most disturbing-we throw these cruel realities in people's faces to provoke a sense of disgust. On the other hand, the album also deals with things like social alienation, like in Metal Father, or destructive addictions in Violent Storm, and other songs with more social themes like political and religious indoctrination. For this first album, I wrote all the lyrics, but for the next ones we're thinking of writing together.

V: 你的Logo设计非常特别，简洁中透着责任感，这种设计形式是我个人最喜欢的，因为我很容易就能记住你的名字，这个Logo是谁为你设计的？你的专辑封面设计也非常独特，是谁为你设计的？它有什么含义吗？

Your logo design is very special and responsible in its simplicity, this form of design is one of my personal favorites because I can easily remember your name, who designed this logo for you? Your album artwork is also very unique, who designed the artwork for you? Does it have any meaning?

A: Logo由Ardiana Pilia设计，专辑封面由Giuseppe Fancellu创作。封面背后的含义与不加批判地盲目接受既定方案、压迫试图超越方案的人这一主题有关。钩子代表勒索，背景中的眼睛象征恐惧。

The logo was designed by Ardiana Pilia, and the album artwork was created by Giuseppe Fancellu. The meaning behind the cover ties into the theme of blindly accepting established schemes without criticism, oppressing those who try to go beyond them. The billhook represents blackmail, while the eyes in the background symbolize fear.

V: 首先祝贺你们发行第一张正式专辑"The Wrestlers"，这是一张非常棒的作品，快速、复古的旋律给我留下了深刻印象，专辑的旋律部分也非常好，每种乐器都有自己的特点，歌手的唱腔也非常有力！你对自己的作品有什么看法？

First of all, congratulations on the release of your first official album “The Wrestlers”, it's a wonderful piece of work, with fast, vintage riffs, which impressed me a lot, and the melodic part of the album is also very nice, each instrument has its own character, and the singer's vocals are very strong! , do you have any thoughts on your own work?

A: 我们认为这张专辑是直抒胸臆的作品--它代表了我们现在的样子。但我们也觉得这张专辑的声音还没有最终定型。在这张专辑中，我尝试了不同的演唱风格，但我最满意的是Thrash部分的粗犷唱腔和小段的尖叫。

We see this album as something that comes straight from the gut-it represents who we've been up to now. But we also feel that the sound is not yet final. On the album, I experimented with different vocal styles, but I was most satisfied with the rough vocals on the thrash parts and the small scream sections.

V: 你们发行了一张新专辑，我猜主要是为了宣传这张专辑，我猜你们今年会有一些现场表演，那么你能透露一些现场表演的信息吗？

You guys released a new album and I guess the main thing is to promote the album, I guess you're going to play some live shows this year, so what are some of the live shows that you can reveal some information about?

A: 我们已经确定的演出日期是 7 月 26 日在Rock And Bol为Onslaught做开场演出。

A confirmed date we can announce is July 26th, at Rock And Bol, opening for Onslaught.
