今天采访到的是来自斯洛伐克的Melodic Folk Black Metal乐队Obšar，组建于2016年的Obšar乐队最初的阵容是由我Ⱑ、Ⱂ、组成的，后来女歌手Ⰽ加入我们，Ⱍ离开了乐队。组建不久之后乐队在哈萨克斯坦厂牌Narcoleptica Productions发行了第一张正式专辑“R.U.N.E.”，乐队在Melodic Black Metal的框架上加入了一些Folk元素，这也让乐队的作品更加的大气，氛围感更加的突出，2022年乐队在荷兰厂牌Void Wanderer Productions发行了他们的第二张正式专辑“Počornily horŷ, počornily lisŷ”，在经过第一张专辑的洗礼之后乐队的新专辑也更加的成熟，2024年乐队发行了第三张正式专辑“Propastnyk”也被更多人所熟知，今年乐队在Kvlt und Kaos Productions厂牌发行了最新作品“V rabstvi merzotnyka”，这张新作品与之前的作品有一定的变化就是加入了一些电子元素，给人一种耳目一新的感觉，在新专辑发行之际乐队的Ⱑ与杂志取得联系进行了一次采访！

The band we interviewed today is Ob š ar, a Melodic Folk Black Metal band from Slovakia. The original lineup of Ob š ar, formed in 2016, was composed of me Ⱑ, Ⱂ, and . Later, female singer Ⰽ joined us and Ⱍ left the band. Shortly after their formation, the band released their first official album "R.U.N.E." on the Kazakhstani label Narcoleptica Productions. The band added some Folk elements to the framework of Melodic Black Metal, which made their works more atmospheric and atmospheric. In 2022, the band released their second official album "Po č ornily hor ŷ, po č ornily lis ŷ" on the Dutch label Void Wanderer Productions. After the baptism of their first album, the band's new album became more mature. In 2024, the band released their third official album "Propastnyk", which was also popular among more people. As is well known, this year the band released their latest work "V rabstvi merzotnyka" on the Kvlt und Kaos Productions label, This new work has a certain change from the previous ones, which is the addition of some electronic elements, giving a refreshing feeling. On the occasion of the release of the new album, the band's Ⱑ contacted the magazine for an interview!

Hello Obšar, thank you for accepting this interview. You were founded in 2016, can you briefly introduce your band before the interview starts? How did the members get to know each other? When was the band formed? Can you briefly introduce the development of the band?

Ⱑ: 你好，很高兴来到这里！我们是一支来自斯洛伐克东北部的Melodic Black Metal乐队，自2016年以来一直活跃。多年来，我们都是各种项目的亲密朋友和乐队成员。最初的阵容是由我们三个人（Ⱑ、Ⱂ、）组成的，后来Ⰽ加入我们和Ⱍ离开了乐队。

Greetings, it’s a pleasure to be here! We are a melodic black metal band from the northeast of Slovakia, active since 2016. All of us have been close friends and bandmates in various projects for many years. The original lineup was formed by three of us (Ⱑ, Ⱂ, Ⰱ), later Ⰽ joined us and Ⱍ left the band.

V: 在创作音乐时，你是如何将民间元素融入音乐的？例如，歌词、民谣旋律等等？

How do you incorporate folk elements into your music when creating music? For example, lyrics, folk melodies, and so on?

Ⱑ: 我们音乐中的民间元素主要出现在歌词中，在歌词中我们探索了鲁辛人的生活、文化、自然和恶魔学。在我们的专辑"Propastnyk"中，我们还加入了扬琴和小提琴等传统乐器，以加深这种联系。

Folk elements in our music mainly appear in the lyrics, where we explore the life, culture, nature, and demonology of the Rusyn people. On our album "Propastnyk" we also incorporated traditional instruments such as the dulcimer and violin to deepen that connection.

V: 你的每一张专辑都有独特的风格。你在创作专辑时是否有意识地改变了风格？在乐队近10年的发展中，有什么东西没有改变吗？

Each of your albums has a unique style. Do you consciously change the style of your album when creating it? Is there anything that has remained unchanged in the development of the band for nearly 10 years?

Ⱑ: 对我们来说，每一张专辑都需要有自己独特的氛围、概念和声音。我们喜欢通过将Black Metal与其他流派的元素融合来尝试和突破Black Metal的界限——Progressive, Symphonic, Heavy, Thrash, Folk, Electronic等。乐队一直在不断发展，所以虽然总是有一个可识别的“Obšar”签名，但我们听起来不像十年前那样。

For us, every album needs to have its own unique atmosphere, concept, and sound. We love experimenting and pushing the boundaries of black metal by blending it with elements from other genres – progressive, symphonic, heavy, thrash, folk, electronic, and more. The band has been constantly evolving, so while there’s always a recognizable “Obšar” signature, we don’t sound much like we did ten years ago.

V: 你在2025年发行了一张新的EP“V rabstvi merzotnyka”，这似乎是一张概念专辑。你能向我们介绍一下这张专辑的内容吗？这张专辑有很多电子元素，你为什么想把电子元素融入音乐中？

You released a new EP "V rabstvi merzotnyka" in 2025, which seems to be a concept album. Can you introduce the content of this album to us? This album has a lot of electronic elements, why do you want to incorporate electronic elements into the music?

Ⱑ: 我们最新发行的“V rabstvi merzotnyka”是一张概念EP。它的主题是对迷信、对超自然的盲目信仰和非理性思维的批判。merzotnyk本身就是一条毒蛇，象征着骗子、异端和骗子，他们今天继续利用人们的信任，用谎言和仇恨毒害心灵。由于主题与现在，甚至可能与未来息息相关，因此使用电子元素感觉是一种自然而合适的选择。

Our latest release, "V rabstvi merzotnyka", is a conceptual EP. Its main theme is a critique of superstition, blind belief in the supernatural, and irrational thinking. The merzotnyk itself is a venomous serpent, symbolizing the charlatans, heretics, and deceivers who continue to exploit people’s trust today, poisoning minds with lies and hatred. Since the theme is tied to the present – and maybe even the future – the use of electronic elements felt like a natural and fitting choice.

V: 你通常是如何创作音乐的？你能和我们谈谈吗？

How do you usually create music? Can you talk to us?

Ⱑ: 因为我们住得很远，所以我们的创作过程有点不同寻常。我（Ⱑ）通常会创作并录制歌曲的初始版本，然后将Demo曲目发送给其他人进行反馈和调整。一旦一切成形，我们一起完成歌曲，排练，录制，最后把它们送到音响工程师那里进行混音和母带制作。

Because we live far apart, our creative process is a bit unusual. I (Ⱑ) usually compose and record the initial versions of the songs, then send demo tracks to the others for feedback and adjustments. Once everything takes shape, we finalize the songs together, rehearse them, record them, and finally send them off to the sound engineer for mixing and mastering.

V: 你的创作是否受到任何乐队的影响？有你特别喜欢的乐队吗？

Has your creation been influenced by any band? Is there a band that you particularly like?

Ⱑ: 我们受到了无数乐队的影响，所以不可能只选一个。我们的品味和灵感涵盖了非常广泛的领域——从流行音乐、电子音乐和黑暗合成器，到各种色调的摇滚和金属，当然还有撒旦般的黑色金属。

We’ve been influenced by countless bands, so it’s impossible to pick just one. Our tastes and inspirations cover a really wide spectrum – from pop, electronic, and darksynth, through all shades of rock and metal, and of course into the depths of satanic black metal.

V: 乐队新专辑发行之后，你有什么计划或安排吗？我听说你要开始制作新专辑了。你现在有什么想法吗？

Do you have any plans or arrangements after the band? I heard that you are going to start making a new album. Do you have any ideas at the moment?

Ⱑ: 现在，我们正在积极制作一张新专辑，我们真的很享受这个过程。这将再次成为一张不同的专辑，但仍然是“Obšar”。我还不想透露太多，但我可以透露：这将是一张一如既往的概念专辑，可能是我们听过的最黑的金属。绝对值得期待！

Right now, we’re actively working on a new album, and we’re really enjoying the process. It’s going to be something different once again, but still unmistakably “Obšar.” I don’t want to give too much away yet, but I can reveal this: it will be a conceptual album as always – and probably the most black metal we’ve ever sounded. Definitely something to look forward to!
