今天采访到的是来自法国的Death Metal乐队Creeping Fear，组建于2010年的Creeping Fear乐队最初由Clément和Gabriel组建，组建之后乐队并没有选择发行作品，而且在寻找其他的成员加入稳定阵容，随后贝斯手Rémi和鼓手Anthony才稳定了阵容并且在2013年发行了一张Demo作品“Unleashed”在录制完这张Demo之后贝斯手Rémi和鼓手Anthony退出乐队，接替他们位置的是Tom和Gabriel D.并且EP专辑“World Execution”，这张专辑依旧还是乐队自己发行，但是这张专辑展现出乐队成员的才华和默契，也被法国的Dolorem Records厂牌签约，2021年发行了他们的第一张正式专辑“Onward to Apocalypse”，这张专辑在录制之前乐队更换了新的贝斯手Guillaume加入乐队，当然这张专辑发行之后也收到了非常高的评价，这张专辑呈现了一部专业录制且充满冲击力与攻击性的作品，主要借鉴了美国乐队如Morbid Angel、Immolation或Monstrosity的风格。猛烈的鼓点，吉他riff则在快速直白的段落与较慢的沉稳段落之间切换。放慢节奏的段落常带有催眠般的氛围，有些时刻节奏完全停顿，短暂间歇后重型攻击再次袭来。这张专辑的吉他演奏堪称精妙，简短的旋律间奏与标志性的和弦形成呼应，其中还包含几段令人印象深刻且相当复杂的独奏段落。不过这些独奏段落被巧妙地融入整体音色中，既丰富了音乐的多样性，又不至于分散歌曲本身的注意力。2019年乐队再次更换了贝斯手Paul，2021年乐队录制了他们的第二张正式专辑“Hategod Triumph”，这张专辑依旧保持着高水准的创作和录制，依旧收到了广泛的关注和好评，同时乐队也收到了一些音乐节的邀请参加演出，也让这支乐队得到了更多的关注和曝光，2025年乐队在老东家Dolorem Records厂牌发行了他们的第三张正式专辑“Realm of the Impaled”，在新专辑发行之际杂志乐队Creeping Fear取得联系进行了一次专访！

Today's interview features the French death metal band Creeping Fear. Formed in 2010, Creeping Fear was initially founded by Clément and Gabriel. After forming, the band did not release any works and instead focused on finding other members to stabilize the lineup. Later, bassist Rémi and drummer Anthony joined, stabilizing the lineup, and in 2013, they released a demo album titled “Unleashed.” After recording this demo, bassist Rémi and drummer Anthony left the band, and they were replaced by Tom and Gabriel D. The EP album “World Execution” was also self-released by the band, but it showcased the members' talent and chemistry, leading to a signing with France's Dolorem Records label. In 2021, they released their first official album, “Onward to Apocalypse.” Before recording this album, the band welcomed a new bassist, Guillaume, into the lineup. The album received high praise upon its release, presenting a professionally recorded, impactful, and aggressive work that draws heavily from the styles of American bands like Morbid Angel, Immolation, or Monstrosity. The album features intense drumming and guitar riffs that alternate between fast, straightforward sections and slower, more deliberate passages. The slower sections often have a hypnotic atmosphere, with moments where the rhythm completely stops, followed by a brief pause before the heavy attack resumes. The guitar work on this album is masterful, with brief melodic interludes echoing the signature chords, and several impressive and quite complex solo sections. However, these solo sections are seamlessly integrated into the overall sound, enriching the music's diversity without distracting from the songs themselves. In 2019, the band replaced bassist Paul, and in 2021, they recorded their second official album, “Hategod Triumph.” which maintained the band's high standards of composition and recording, receiving widespread attention and acclaim. The band also received invitations to perform at several music festivals, further increasing their exposure. In 2025, the band released their third official album, “Realm of the Impaled,” under their former label Dolorem Records. Upon the release of the new album, the magazine Creeping Fear reached out for an exclusive interview!

Hello brother, it's nice to meet you and thank you very much for participating in this interview. I think this is the first time your band has been interviewed by a Chinese magazine. First of all, let's say hello to all Chinese fans and friends. Creeping Fear was founded in 2010 and is a long-standing band with a long history. Who proposed to form this band in the first place?

C: 你好，这是我第一次回答你的问题，非常乐意为你解答！Clément和Gabriel当初创立了乐队，我们一起即兴演奏，后来想把乐队发展得更进一步！

Hi mate, yes this is the first time, very happy to answer your questions! Clément and Gabriel founded the band back then, we were jamming together and wanted to make it a bit more than just jamming !

V: 目前乐队中仅剩Clément和Gabriel H.两位第一代成员，其余两位成员已更换。第一代成员为何离开乐队？新成员是如何加入乐队的？你对新成员的表现满意吗？

Your band now only has Clément and Gabriel H. as the first generation members, the other two members have already been replaced. Why did the first generation members leave the band? How did the new members join the band? Are you satisfied with the new member's job?

C: 是的，我们是仅存的两位原始成员。你知道时间飞逝，生活在变化，人们想做其他事情而不是Death Metal，所以他们转向了其他项目。是的，新阵容非常出色，Hector是一位技术娴熟的鼓手，Matthias在贝斯上表现得非常出色。目前阵容非常强大。他们两人都是巴黎金属乐场景的一部分，这就是我们相遇的方式。

Yes we are the only two remaining original members, you know time flies, life changes and people want to do other stuff than Death Metal so they moved on other projects. Yes the new line up is amazing Hector is a super sharp drummer and Matthias is killing it on bass. The line up is really strong at the moment. Both of them were part of the metal scene in Paris this is how we all met.

The members of your band are all experienced musicians in creating death metal. Can you introduce your creative experience? I believe your creative experience will bring inspiration to many young musicians.

C: 这里没什么特别新颖的，通常我们在排练时会分享一些想法，这就是歌曲的创作方式。我通常会单独处理歌词部分。专辑中听到的内容，其实是我们四个人合作的成果。

Nothing very original here, usually we have a few ideas that we share during rehearsal this is how the songs are created I usually work on the lyrics on my side. What you can listen on the album is really the synergy of the four of us.

All of your band's albums are released on the Dolore Records label. Although this label has been established for a long time, it has not released many works. Can you introduce this label? How did you get in touch with this brand? Are you satisfied with the job at this brand?

Yes we have been working with Dolorem Record and Alex for many years now. He is a great independent label located in France. He is passionate about the underground scene it’s great to work with him. Go listen to his other release those are the best underground Death Metal you can find.

Your band's logo design is very beautiful. Who designed this logo for you? Your album artwork is also beautifully designed. Who designed these artworks for you?

For the cover artwork on Realm of the Impaled we worked with Paolo Girardi who did once again an excellent job. We wanted a real artist and nothing related to AI. Hell, Evil, Desolation are the music themes of your band. Why did you choose these music themes? What do you want to express through these music themes? You also created the lyrics section. Who created these lyrics and what inspired them?

C: 这就是音乐上启发我的东西，我喜欢将最黑暗的想法融入歌曲中。我不想唱和演奏快乐的音乐，那让我感到无聊。是的，我正在创作所有歌词，它们灵感来源于邪恶、人类能做的最糟糕的事情、绝望和死亡。

This is what inspire me in terms of music, I like to bring the darkest ideas into song. I don’t want to sing and play happy music it bores me. Yes, I’m writing all the lyrics, they are inspired by Evil, the worst things humanity can do, despair and death.

First of all, congratulations on the release of your new album this year. Your style is deeply rooted in the classic Old Shcool, but you have added some modern elements and techniques. The ultimate result is another heart wrenching, heavy piece of music that every death metal fan should love. Your music is dark, cruel, and ruthless, yet at the same time beautiful and unforgettable. Very emphasis is placed on technical perfection and the perfect combination of direct integration with Groove and more complex arrangements, creating a profound and unsettling atmosphere. The wonderful solo also left a deep impression on me, with music on explosive beats, typical of other old school death metal albums in modern times. The singer's performance is also very exciting. What is your opinion on your own works? What are the changes between the new album and the old album?

C: 非常感谢，我们对这张新专辑非常满意，我们有幸与Henosis Studio合作完成了录音和混音工作，Frederic做得非常出色。Dan Swanö再次完美地完成了母带制作。在我们看来，这是迄今为止我们最好的专辑，融合了Old Scool Death Metal与现代元素，当然也融入了一些Black Metal的影响。我们迫不及待想在舞台上演奏这些歌曲！

Thank you very much, we are very happy with this new album, we had the opportunity to work with Henosis Studio for the recording and mixing, Frederic did an excellent job. Dan Swanö nailed the mastering once again.

This is in our opinion our best album so far, a mix of old school Death Metal with modern touches and some Black Metal influences of course. We cannot wait to play the songs on stage!

V: 作为一支老牌经典乐队，你们曾参与过许多音乐节。哪些音乐节给你们留下了深刻印象？2025年你们计划参加哪些音乐节？如果有一天中国主办方邀请你们来中国演出，你们愿意为中国歌迷献上一场精彩表演吗？

As an old classic band, you have participated in many music festivals. Which music festivals have left a deep impression on you? Which music festivals are you planning to attend in 2025? If one day the Chinese organizers invite you to come to China, would you be willing to give a wonderful performance to Chinese fans?

C: 我真的很喜欢像法国的Winter Rising这样的小型音乐节，你可以近距离接触乐队，组织得井井有条，而且每年都有令人疯狂的阵容！！当然，如果我们有机会在中国演出，那将是非常棒的！

I really like small festivals like Winter Rising in France, you are close to the bands, well organized and crazy lineup every year !! Of course, if we have the opportunity that would be great to play in China !

V: 作为一支经典的资深乐队，我将始终支持并追随你们的乐队。我也希望通过这次采访能吸引更多中国粉丝来关注并支持你们的乐队。最后，你们有什么想对中国的粉丝和朋友们说的吗？

As a classic veteran band, I will always support and follow your band. I also hope to attract more Chinese fans to follow and support your band through this interview. Do you have anything you want to say to Chinese fans and friends in the end?

C: 非常感谢。我们非常高兴得知中国金属乐迷们在聆听我们的音乐，我们希望有一天能与你们见面并在舞台上为你们带来一场狂野的演出！干杯！
