今天采访到的是来自乌拉圭的Goregrind乐队Meditación，组建于2025年的Meditación是一支非常年轻的乐队，由鼓手 / 歌手的Carlos一个人组建，最初Carlos参加的乐队宣布解散，所以Carlos决定组建一支自己个人的乐队，由此Meditación乐队诞生并且进入工作室录制了一些鼓的Demo，虽然比较1粗糙，但是可以看出来Carlos是一名才华横溢的鼓手，Carlos并不希望Meditación乐队作为一支录音室乐队存在，所以他邀请了朋友Mathias Ware以及他手的身份加入乐队，随即乐队发行了一张五首歌曲的Demo作品，粘稠，粗糙的吉他音色，疯狂，粗糙的鼓点，Carlos的Sick演唱，让这张专辑迅速得到喜欢Goregrind歌迷的关注，随后乐队又发行了两张作品，也得到了更多人的关注，在新专辑“Mantras paea la autodestrucción”发行之际杂志与乐队的创始人Carlos取得联系进行了一次专访！

Today's interview was with the Goregrind band Meditaci ó n from Uruguay. Founded in 2025, Meditaci ó n is a very young band formed by drummer/singer Carlos alone. Initially, Carlos joined a band that announced its dissolution, so Carlos decided to form his own personal band. As a result, Meditaci ó n was born and entered the studio to record some drum demos. Although it may be rough, it can be seen that Carlos is a talented drummer, Carlos did not want Meditaci ó n to exist as a studio band, so he invited his friend Mathias Ware and his hand to join the band. The band then released a demo of five songs, with a sticky, rough guitar sound, crazy, rough drum beats, and Carlos' Sick singing, which quickly gained attention from Goregrind fans. The band then released two more works, which also gained more attention. On the occasion of the release of their new album "Mantras paea la autodestrucci ó n", the magazine contacted the band's founder Carlos for an exclusive interview!

V: 嘿，兄弟很高兴见到你，非常感谢你参加这次吃饭。相信这是你们乐队首次接受中国杂志的采访。首先向所有中国乐迷问好。Meditación成立于2025年，是一支非常年轻的乐队。你们是如组建这支乐队的？乐队名称Meditación有何寓意？

Hey, man, it's great to meet you, and thanks so much for having me on this interview. I believe this is your band's first time being interviewed by a Chinese magazine. First off, I'd like to say hi to all your Chinese fans out there. Meditación was formed in 2025, making it a very young band. How did you guys come together to form this band? And what's the meaning behind the name “Meditación”?

C: 嘿！最近怎么样？首先感谢你们邀请我们接受采访！其实Meditación最初是个个人项目，因为我所在的乐队解散了——另一位成员不得不回国了。我去了录音室，即兴敲了些鼓点（所以听起来有点粗糙）哈哈，然后录制了其余部分，就这样完成了。虽然发布过几首作品，但我渴望现场演出，于是邀请朋友加入乐队，后来吉他手也加入了，现在我们以乐队形式演出啦！Meditación意为冥想，虽然我已不再实践，但冥想确实有益身心，能解决诸多问题。我想探讨些血腥题材之外的内容，因此歌词更具“灵性”色彩，不过始终以幽默方式呈现。不知你们那边情况如何，但这边充斥着假冒的萨满，声称能治愈抑郁、焦虑甚至癌症，简直荒谬至极。所以我试图通过歌词嘲讽这种不良行径，当然歌词也涉及其他主题。

Hey! How is it going? First of all I want to thank you for having us interviewed! Well, Meditación started as a solo project after the band I was in disbanded because the other member had to return to his home country. I went to a studio, improvised some drums (that's why they sound sloppy) haha, then recorded the rest and that's pretty it, I just released some material but I wanted to play gigs, and that's why I asked a friend to join the band and then, the guitarist joined, so now, we play in a band format! Meditación translates to Meditation, it is something I don't do anymore but it is a really good thing and helps for a lot of issues. I wanted to talk about some other things other than gore and stuff like that, that's why it has more "spiritual" lyrics but always in a humorous way. I don't know how it is down there but here, there are a lot of fake chamans claiming to have the cure for depression, anxiety and even cancer, crazy, right? So, I try to focus on making fun of that bad practice. But the lyrics talk about other things as well.

V: 你们的乐队只有两名成员，我想这让创作过程变得更为便捷，因为你们可以完全基于自身构思进行创作。能否描述一下你们的创作流程？

Your band only has two members, and I imagine this makes the creative process much more convenient since you can create works entirely based on your own ideas. Could you describe your creative process?

C: 实际上我们是三人组合：Luca（贝斯手兼主唱）、Mathias Ware（吉他手）和我（尝试担任鼓手兼和声）。如前所述，我鼓声都是单次录制，若效果尚可才录制其他部分。我们还有1-2首歌源自旧乐队“El Comandante”时期，当时只有Luca和我。

Actually, we are three members, Luca (bassist and vocals), Mathias Ware (guitar) and I, trying to play drums and doing vocals. As I mentioned earlier, I record drums in one shot and then if I find something quite decent, I record the rest. We also have 1 or 2 songs we used to play in an old band called "El Comandante" where it was Luca and me.

V: 你们作品的录音质量极佳，完美捕捉了纯正的碾核风格。请问是在哪家录音室完成录制？项目背后的制作人是谁？

The recording quality of your work is excellent, capturing that authentic grindcore feel. Which studio did you record at, and who was the producer behind your project?

C: 谢谢！我尽量避免过度制作，原因有二：一是技术有限，二是喜欢那种Demo版的声音质感。很高兴你也这么觉得！我常去一家叫“Antro”的录音室（向Chey和Gabriel致敬），他们会免费为你录制高质量的排练音频。之后我尽我所能进行混音和母带处理。

Thanks! I try not to make it over produced for 2 reasons, lack of knowledge and because I like that demo sound. Glad you found it that way! Well, I go to a studio called "Antro" (shout out to Chey and Gabriel) where they record your rehearsal for free in a good quality. After it, I do what I can with mixing and mastering.

V: Life是你的音乐主题。为何选择这个主题？你希望通过它表达什么？

Life is your musical theme. Why did you choose this theme? What do you aim to express through it?

C: 生活中的种种，但我认为这涵盖了所有层面，比如有些歌词会探讨精神疾病、药物成瘾、离奇事件以及那些发生在...嗯，生活中的种种。我尝试基于亲身经历创作，有时也纯粹胡扯😄

Life among other things but I think that contemplates all the aspects, for instance, some lyrics can talk about mental illnesses, drug addiction, bizarre events and those things that happen in well...life. I try to talk about things based on experience or just nonsense 😄

V: 你们所有作品都是自主发行。是否有计划与正规厂牌合作进行专辑分销？

You self-release all your work. Do you have any plans to collaborate with a proper label for album distribution?

C: 是的！说实话这会很棒。我尝试过联系几家厂牌但没成功。目前签约的Gutted Records会分享我的作品，Brutal Underground也提供同样服务，两家在宣传方面都相当给力。计划是重新录制歌曲并可能发行EP，不过现在我正专注于合作Spilt专辑。

Yes! That would be awesome to be honest. I tried with some labels but had no luck. I am currently signed to a label called Gutted Records where the guy shares your releases. Also, Brutal Underground does the same and they both were pretty cool when it comes to promotion.The idea is to re record the songs and maybe releasing an EP but right now I am focused on some splits.

V: 首先恭喜乐队今年发行了新专辑"Mantras paea la autodestrucción"。你们的创作精炼、精致且疯狂至极。鼓点与厚重粘稠的吉他声交织，主唱同样黏稠的嗓音——你们如何评价自己的作品？

First off, congratulations on your band releasing the latest album “Mantras paea la autodestrucción” this year. Your work is concise, refined, and utterly insane. The drumming, combined with the thick, viscous guitar, and the singer's equally viscous vocals—what are your thoughts on your own work?

C: 谢谢！这只是为了发布点东西而已 😄说实话，有时我觉得还行，但大多数时候我不喜欢自己的作品，总觉得不够满意——毕竟总有改进的空间。我认为最好的歌曲都是那些尚未发布的。

Thanks! It was for the sake of releasing something 😄 To be honest, sometimes I think is decent but most of the times I don't like the work, I am not convinced enough since there is always room for improvement. I think the best songs are the ones that aren't released yet.

V: 你们乐队在2025年有哪些新计划？能透露些细节吗？

What new projects does your band have lined up for 2025? Can you share any details with us?

C: 当然，Luca和Mathias都在其他乐队演奏。至于我嘛，不太确定——我有很多不同流派的搁置项目，从Post Punk, Goregrind到Psytrance都有。至于Meditación乐队，我们的计划是每月发布作品，不过具体情况还要看实际进展。

Both, Luca and Mathias play in other bands as well. About me, not sure I have many dead projects from different genres, from post punk, goregrind to psytrance When it comes to Meditación, the idea is to release something each month but we will see.

V: 哪些乐队对你们产生过影响？

Which bands have influenced you?

C: Jig-Ai、Inopexia、Ahumado Granujo、Goreanus、Spasm、Hyperemesis、Parfumerie、Fabio，太多了！

V: 我了解过贵国的一些乐队，甚至采访过其中一支。你们国家确实拥有一些非常出色的乐队。我想通过你了解乌拉圭当前的金属乐场景——你熟悉哪些乐队？

I've looked into some bands from your country and even interviewed one. Your nation has some truly outstanding bands. I'd like to learn about Uruguay's current metal scene through you—which bands are you familiar with?

C: 真的吗？太棒了！这要看情况。蒙得维的亚的音乐场景比其他城市更活跃。我觉得现在正在壮大，这是好事。要说本地乐队，我最喜欢的是Epilectomy、Vómito、Beatriz Carnicero等，虽然多数已解散。如果你问我推荐，这些就是我的首选。

Really? That's awesome! Well, it depends. Here in Montevideo there is a bigger scene than in other cities. I think is getting bigger nowadays and that's good. When it comes to bands I like from here I could say, Epilectomy, Vómito, Beatriz Carnicero and many others but those are the ones I like the most although most of them disbanded. Those are the ones I recommend if you ask me.

You're a band with tremendous potential, and I'll continue to follow and support your music. I also hope this interview helps more people discover you. As we wrap up, is there anything you'd like to share with your Chinese fans?

Personally, I think it is a wonderful place with a lot of history and it would be awesome to go there before dying.
