今天采访到的是来自意大利的Thrash 'n' Roll乐队Sfregio，组建于2009年的Sfregio乐队，在组建不久之后乐队便自主发行了第一张正式专辑“Zabbaglioni e rock'n'roll”，Thrash和Rock的结合的确是非常少见的风格，如同剃刀般的Riff，再加上Rock的元素让这支乐队既有金属乐的强硬也有摇滚乐的柔情，2011 - 2015年乐队发行了两张正式专辑，得到更多的关注，不过在2015年发行完第三张正式专辑之后乐队便宣布解散，直到2021年乐队才宣布重新组建并且发行了最新单曲和一张精选专辑，2022 - 2024年发行了两张正式专辑，让这支消失多年的乐队再次得到了关注，今年乐队发行了他们的最新单曲“Burqa ma donna”，在新单曲发行之际杂志与乐队取得联系进行了一次专访！

Today, we are interviewing Sfregio, a "Thrash 'n' Roll" band from Italy. Formed in 2009, the band independently released their debut album, *Zabbaglioni e rock'n'roll*, shortly after their inception—showcasing a rare fusion of thrash and rock. With razor-sharp riffs blended with rock elements, the band balances the raw intensity of metal with the melodic sensibility of rock. They gained increasing attention with two albums released between 2011 and 2015, though they announced their disbandment following the release of their third album. They eventually reunited in 2021, releasing a new single and a greatest-hits compilation. Two further albums released between 2022 and 2024 brought this long-absent band back into the spotlight. This year, they released their latest single, "Burqa ma donna," and we caught up with the band for an exclusive interview to mark the occasion!

Hello there! It’s a pleasure to meet you, and thank you so much for taking part in this interview. I believe this is your band's first interview with a Chinese magazine, so let's start by saying hello to all your Chinese fans. Sfregio was formed in 2008—you’re a long-standing, veteran band—so how did the band originally come together?

S: 首先，能“来到”中国——或者至少是“飞”到这里来（哪怕只是在精神层面上）——真是我们的荣幸！我们要向所有的中国乐迷致以最热烈的问候和拥抱。我们真心希望有朝一日能有机会来中国演出，并与大家面对面相聚。

Sfregio的诞生其实带点儿“玩票”性质，那还是在2008年的事。当时我们身处一个很大的朋友圈子里，大家基本都是一群热爱金属乐的同好，经常聚在一起：外出、喝酒、胡侃瞎聊，日子过得非常开心。

有一次，一位朋友在家里举办了一场盛大的派对，来了大约一百号人。最疯狂的是，他竟然把排练室设在了……厨房里！一切都是即兴的，场面简直疯狂透顶。

我们就在那里开始演奏，起初纯粹是为了好玩，但后来我们意识到，那些我们平日里闲扯的废话、经历过的事情以及身边发生的一切，其实都可以转化为歌曲。

Sfregio的最初几首歌就是这样诞生的。当时并没有什么宏大的计划：我们只是想找乐子、玩音乐，把日常生活写成歌。

而这一切，正是从那些最初的歌曲开始，一步步发展壮大起来的。

First of all, it’s an honor to finally land in China — or at least to metaphorically fly there! A huge hello and a big hug to all our Chinese fans. We really hope that one day we’ll have the chance to come and play in China and meet you in person.

Sfregio was born almost as a joke, way back in 2008. We were part of a huge group of friends, basically a bunch of metalheads who spent a lot of time together: we went out, drank, talked shit and had a great time.

One of our friends organized this massive party at his house, with around a hundred people. The crazy thing was that he basically had a rehearsal room… in his kitchen! Everything was improvised and completely insane.

We started playing there, almost as a joke, and realized that all the bullshit we talked about every day, the situations we experienced and everything that happened around us could actually become songs.

That’s how the first Sfregio songs were born. There was no big plan behind it: we simply wanted to have fun, play music and turn our everyday lives into songs.

And from those first songs, everything else grew.

V: 你们乐队在2015年决定解散的原因是什么？又是什么促使你们在2021年重组？

What was the reason behind your band's decision to disband in 2015? And what prompted you to reform the band in 2021?

S: 导致解散的原因有很多，但我认为归根结底有一个主要因素：我们一直以来都像是一家人。

当你和别人一起创作音乐，多年来每周见面、排练、在排练室里挥洒汗水、争论并努力打磨出好歌时，你们之间建立的联系会远超普通乐队成员的关系。你们会成为一家人。而就像任何家庭一样，有时难免会爆发极其激烈的争吵。

就我们而言，矛盾激化到了导致彻底决裂的地步。我们分道扬镳了好几年，甚至有一段时间完全断绝了往来。我们不仅在音乐层面失去了联系，在个人情感层面也断了联——直到今天，这恐怕仍是整个故事中最令人痛心的一面。

有时我觉得这也不完全是我们的错。当时的一些外部环境和状况，也在推波助澜，把我们逼到了那一步。

后来到了2021年。经历过疫情时期后，我们非常渴望重返舞台进行现场演出，但更重要的是，我们怀念那些曾与我们共度人生最美好时光的伙伴。

于是我们重聚，决定再试一次。

从那以后，一切都充满了无条件的爱。我们继续创作音乐，继续演出，当然，偶尔还是会吵得不可开交！但我们深爱着彼此，这一点永远不会改变。

There were several reasons behind the split, but I think that, at the root of it, there was one main thing: we’ve always been a family.

When you write music together, when you spend years seeing each other every week, rehearsing, sweating in the rehearsal room, arguing and trying to create good songs, the relationship you build becomes much stronger than the one between simple bandmates. You become a family. And, like in every family, sometimes you can have some pretty fucking serious fights.

In our case, the conflict became so intense that it eventually led to a complete break-up. We went our separate ways for several years and, for a while, we even stopped talking to each other completely. We lost touch not only as musicians, but as human beings, and even today, that is probably the most disastrous part of the whole story.

Sometimes I think it wasn’t entirely our fault either. There were also external situations and circumstances that helped push us to that point.

Then 2021 came along. After the COVID period, there was a huge desire to get back to playing live, but more than anything, we missed the people we had shared some of the best moments of our lives with.

So we got back together and decided to give it another shot.

Since then, it’s simply been unconditional love. We keep writing music, we keep playing, and of course, we still tear each other apart sometimes! But we love each other, and that’s something that will never change.

V: 你们乐队自成立以来一直保持着最初的阵容，这无疑让创作过程顺畅了许多——毕竟你们彼此非常了解，也清楚自己想要创作什么样的音乐。能跟我们聊聊你们的创作过程吗？

Your band has maintained its original lineup since its inception, which likely makes the songwriting process much smoother—after all, you know each other so well and understand exactly what kind of songs you want to create. Could you tell us a bit about your creative process?

S: 没错，还是我们这四个人，这绝对是我们的优势之一。我们对彼此了如指掌，熟悉各自的品味，也明确知道自己想要什么、喜欢什么。

乐队阵容包括：主唱兼吉他手 Seth、吉他手Dr. Rock、鼓手Ylme，以及贝斯手Grinder（他同时也效力于黑金属乐队Winternius）。尽管这些音乐风格迥异，但我们个人的音乐品味和受到的影响，自然而然地融入了Sfregio的音乐之中。

不过，在创作Sfregio的歌曲时，有一点至关重要：我们从不给自己设限。

我们确实拥有标志性的风格：充满侵略性的“Thrash’n’Roll”、充沛的能量，以及直截了当的创作与演奏方式。但与此同时，我们也乐于尝试新事物——探讨不同的主题、寻找新灵感，或是试验以前从未用过的音色。

这种心态让我们能够以非常自由的方式进行创作。没有特定的时刻或固定的模式：灵感可能随时随地迸发。

在我们看来，正是这种自由让我们的音乐作品变得妙趣横生。你一听就能认出这是Sfregio的歌，但同时，你又永远无法预料下一首歌会带来什么样的惊喜。

Yes, it’s still the same four of us, and that is definitely one of our strengths. We know each other by heart, we know each other’s tastes, and we know exactly what we want and what we like.

The lineup is Seth on vocals and guitar, Dr. Rock on guitar, Ylme on drums, and Grinder on bass, who also plays in the black metal band Winternius. Even though they are very different musical worlds, our individual tastes and influences naturally find their way into Sfregio’s music as well.

But there’s one very important thing about the way we write Sfregio songs: we never put limits on ourselves.

We definitely have our trademark sound: aggressive thrash’n’roll, energy, and our direct way of writing and playing. But at the same time, we like experimenting, talking about different subjects, looking for new ideas and trying sounds we may never have used before.

That allows us to write in a very free way. There’s no specific moment or fixed method: an idea can come from anywhere and at any time.

And that freedom is exactly what, in our opinion, makes our discography interesting. You can immediately recognize that it’s Sfregio, but at the same time, you never really know what you’re going to find in the next song.

V: 你们每一张专辑的录音质量都有显著提升——当然，随着时间推移，技术的进步在其中也起到了重要作用。你们是在哪些录音室制作专辑的？制作人又是谁？你们乐队今年发行了一首新单曲，录音过程顺利吗？

The recording quality of each of your albums shows marked improvement—though, of course, technological advancements over time play a significant role in that. Which studios did you use for your albums, and who produced them? Your band released a new single this year; did the recording process go smoothly?

S: 由于我们最初组建乐队时多少带点“玩票”性质，所以早期的几张专辑更像是一场大胆的实验。比如第一张专辑，我们当时用的竟然是两台又小又破的音箱！但讽刺的是，这种简陋的设备反而造就了一种非常独特、别具一格的音色。

特别要感谢Alessandro Filippin，他负责了我们前三张专辑的录音工作，可以说是一路见证并陪伴着我们共同成长。在制作每一张唱片时，我们总是在寻求新的突破与尝试。

多年来，我们不断尝试不同的录音室、录音师和音色风格，未来也肯定会继续保持这种探索精神。在制作"Non Credo"这张专辑时，我们主要追求的是一种真实、直接且能还原现场演出质感的音色。

新专辑和新单曲的制作过程都很顺利，但对我们而言，每一张专辑都是一次全新的探索之旅。我们从不希望新唱片的风格与上一张完全雷同。

Since we started almost as a joke, our first albums were also a big experiment. The first one, for example, was recorded using two tiny, shitty amplifiers! Ironically, that helped create a very particular and unique sound.

A huge shout-out to Alessandro Filippin, who recorded our first three albums and basically grew together with us. With every record, we were always looking for something different.

Over the years, we experimented with different studios, engineers and sounds, and we’ll definitely keep doing that. For Non Credo, we were mainly looking for a genuine, direct sound that was close to our live dimension.

The new album and the new single went smoothly, but for us every album is a new journey of discovery. We never want one record to sound exactly like the previous one.

V: 你们的歌词涉及疯狂、性和酒精等主题。为什么选择这些题材？你们想借此表达什么？另外，歌词是你们自己写的吗？具体由谁执笔？灵感又源自何处？

Your lyrics touch on themes like madness, sex, and alcohol. Why did you choose these subjects, and what do you aim to express through them? You also wrote the lyrics yourselves—who penned them, and where did the inspiration come from?

S: 起初，我们的歌词风格要轻松得多，主要讲述我们在酒精、性和摇滚乐相伴的夜晚亲身经历的故事——比如去演出、去看朋友演出，或者仅仅是发生在身边的事。有时是关于我们自己的经历，有时则是关于他人的故事。

后来我们成熟了，在用几张专辑描绘了那个世界之后，我们觉得有必要探讨一些其他话题。于是，我们开始关注社会状况，描写发生在我们城市及周围社会中的种种事件。

到了"Non Credo"这张专辑，我们的创作提升到了一个新的高度。这是一张围绕宗教、信仰与怀疑展开的概念专辑，同时也探讨了虚伪、教条、狂热和幻灭等议题。

不过，我们的创作风格始终如一：直白、讽刺且具有挑衅性。对我们而言，每一个玩笑、每一次欢笑、每一次挑衅的背后，总隐藏着更阴暗的一面——那是能引发深思的东西。

简而言之，如今我们歌词的背后，蕴含着更为深刻的内涵。

At the beginning, our lyrics were much more light-hearted and mainly told stories that had actually happened to us during nights of alcohol, sex and rock’n’roll: things that happened when we went to play shows, when we went to see our friends play, or simply things that happened around us. Sometimes they were our own stories, sometimes they were stories about other people.

Then we grew up and, after dedicating several records to that world, we felt the need to talk about other things too. We started writing about social situations, things happening in our city and in the society around us.

With Non Credo, we took it to another level. It’s a concept album revolving around religion, faith and doubt, but also hypocrisy, dogma, fanaticism and disillusionment.

Our way of writing, however, has remained the same: direct, sarcastic and provocative. For us, behind every joke, every laugh and every provocation, there is always a darker side — something that can make you think.

Simply put, there’s something much deeper behind our words today.

V: 你们选择独立发行所有专辑——是什么促使你们做出这个决定？有没有考虑过与唱片公司合作发行专辑？目前为止有接触过任何唱片公司吗？

You’ve chosen to self-release all your albums—what made you decide to do that? Have you ever considered partnering with a record label to release an album? Have you been in touch with any labels so far?

S: 老实说，我们几乎所有作品都是自己制作的。很长一段时间里，我们找不到真正认可 Sfregio这种独特风格项目的人。在有些人看来，我们太“朋克”了；在另一些人眼里，我们又太“金属”了；还有些人则觉得我们不够“摇滚”。

总的来说，我觉得与其跟那些并不真正看好我们乐队的公司合作，不如自己发行音乐。我特别反感那些利用乐队或其热情的公司——遗憾的是，这种公司还真不少。

好在也有像Nadir Music这样认真且专业的合作伙伴，我们与他们的合作体验非常棒。

我们的上一张专辑"Malmignotta"是与 Nadir 合作发行的，而"Non Credo"则是独立发行的，尽管我们目前仍与 Nadir 保持着合作关系。

我们并不排除未来再次与唱片公司合作的可能性。我们不想把路堵死，尤其是现在我们开始在海外（主要是欧洲各地）进行越来越多的演出，而且也希望有朝一日能去中国演出。

We’ve self-produced almost everything, to be honest. For a long time, we couldn’t find anyone who truly believed in a project as particular as Sfregio. To some people we were too punk, to others too metal, and to others simply not rock’n’roll enough.

In general, I think it’s much better to release your own music than to work with a label that doesn’t genuinely believe in your band. I can’t stand those companies that take advantage of bands or their passion. Unfortunately, there are plenty of them.

Luckily, there are also people who work seriously and professionally, like Nadir Music, and we’ve had a great experience working with them.

Malmignotta, our previous album, was released with Nadir, while Non Credo is self-released, although we’re still collaborating with them.

We’re not ruling out working with a label again in the future. We don’t want to close any doors, especially now that we’re starting to play more and more shows abroad, across Europe, and hopefully one day in China as well.

V: 你们的Logo设计非常简洁，但这正是我个人最喜欢的风格，因为它让你们的名字特别好记。专辑的封面设计也非常“性感”哈哈，那是谁设计的呢？

Your logo design is very simple, but it’s the style I personally like best because it makes your name really easy to remember. The album artwork is really "sexy"—haha—so who designed it for you?

S: 很高兴你们喜欢我们的 Logo！其实那是个很老的设计，只是在这些年里做了一些现代化的改良。而且如果你仔细看……那些图案其实全都是“鸡巴”！哈哈哈！

没错，我们的专辑封面一直以来也都非常性感！这些封面出自不同艺术家之手，每个人都有自己独特的风格。

不过，对于最新专辑"Non Credo"，我们决定把自己的形象放在封面上。这是一张风格迥异的唱片，我们觉得有必要把自己的脸放上去——就像我们在歌词里所做的那样。

We’re really happy that you like our logo! It’s a very old logo that has simply been modernized over the years. And if you look closely… they’re all dicks! Hahaha!

And yes, our covers have always been very sexy too! They’ve been created by different artists over the years, each with their own style.

For the latest album, Non Credo, however, we decided to put ourselves on the cover. It’s a different kind of record, and we felt the need to put our faces on it — exactly like we do with our lyrics.

V: 首先，恭喜你们今年发行了新单曲。你们的音乐融合了丰富的Thrash Metal与摇滚元素——将Thrash Metal那种狂暴、充满侵略性的特质与摇滚乐较为柔和细腻的韵味结合在一起——赋予了作品一种耳目一新的创新听感。你们如何看待自己的音乐？新作品与以往的作品有何不同？

First of all, congratulations on the release of your new single this year. Your music incorporates a wealth of thrash and rock elements—blending the fierce, aggressive edge of thrash with the softer nuances of rock—which gives your work a fresh, innovative sound. What are your thoughts on your music? How does the new material differ from your older work?

S: 首先，感谢你们的赞赏以及对我们新单曲的关注。"Battezzata, Go!"是我们继"Burqa ma donna"之后，从专辑"Non Credo"中推出的第二支单曲。

"Burqa ma donna"探讨了女性自由、暴力以及当今社会依然存在的种种矛盾；而"Battezzata, Go!"则是一首更具讽刺意味和挑衅色彩的歌曲。它将洗礼比作一种烙印——在你尚无能力自主选择的幼年时期被印刻在身上，并伴随你度过余生。

与我们之前的作品相比，"Non Credo"有着显著的不同，尤其是在主题和乐队的创作意图方面。这是一张极具侵略性、风格强硬的唱片，但同时也包含了一些人们可能意想不到、不像是 Sfregio乐队会做出的音乐元素。

专辑中既有钢琴伴奏的抒情曲，也有原声吉他，还融入了丰富多样的音色与氛围。我们希望在保持自身风格的同时进行各种尝试。

最终呈现出的这张专辑，既保留了Sfregio一贯的狂暴张力，又展现了乐队此前从未如此清晰呈现过的一面。

我们从不愿给自己设限。对我们而言，无论是在音乐编排还是歌词创作上，不断探索新事物都至关重要。

First of all, thank you for the compliments and for paying attention to our new single. Battezzata, Go! is the second single taken from Non Credo, following Burqa ma donna.

Burqa ma donna deals with women’s freedom, violence and the contradictions that still exist in our society today. Battezzata, Go!, on the other hand, is a more ironic and provocative song. It compares baptism to a kind of brand that is stamped onto you when you’re too young to make your own choice, and that you then carry with you for the rest of your life.

Compared to our previous work, Non Credo is quite different, especially in terms of its themes and the band’s intentions. It’s a very aggressive and nasty record, but at the same time it contains things that probably nobody would expect from Sfregio.

There’s a piano ballad, acoustic guitars and a lot of different sounds and atmospheres. We wanted to experiment without losing our identity.

The result is an album that still has all the aggression of Sfregio, but also shows a side of the band that we had never really revealed this clearly before.

We never want to put limits on ourselves. For us, it’s important to keep searching for something new, both musically and lyrically.

V: 作为一支资深乐队，你们参加过无数音乐节；其中哪些给你们留下了深刻印象？能否描述一下当时的现场氛围？你们计划在 2026 年参加哪些新的音乐节？

As a veteran band, you have performed at numerous music festivals; which ones left a lasting impression on you, and could you describe the atmosphere at the time? What new music festivals do you plan to participate in during 2026?

S: 多年来，我们参加过数不胜数的音乐节和演出，但斯洛文尼亚的Tolminator音乐节绝对是我们最重要的经历之一。

在这样的大型音乐节上，面对来自世界各国的观众演出，这种体验真的非常特别。

不过，令我们难忘的不仅仅是大型音乐节。许多由独立主办方和协会组织的各类小型音乐节及演出，对我们也同样意义非凡——那正是我们音乐世界的起点。

2026年，我们将在意大利各地进行多场演出，并继续把新专辑的曲目带上舞台。

对我们而言，舞台始终是最重要的地方。那是乐队真正证明自身实力与本色的所在。

We’ve played at countless different festivals and shows over the years, but the Tolminator Festival in Slovenia was definitely one of the most important experiences for us.

Playing in front of an international audience at such a big festival, with people coming from so many different countries, was something really special.

But it’s not only the big festivals that stay with us. Many small festivals and shows organized by independent promoters and associations have also been incredibly important to us. That’s where our world really started.

In 2026 we have several shows across Italy, and we’ll continue bringing the new album to the stage.

For us, the stage is still the most important place of all. That’s where a band has to prove who they really are.

V: 除了发行新单曲，你们为2026年还规划了哪些项目？比如创作新歌或发行新专辑？能跟我们分享一下细节吗？

Apart from releasing new singles, what other projects do you have lined up for 2026—such as songwriting or releasing a new album? Could you share some details with everyone?

我们刚在9月21日发行了新专辑"Non Credo"。这是一张关于宗教主题的概念专辑，而我们目前的重头戏就是带着它进行巡演。

这将是一场横跨意大利和欧洲的长途巡演，而且我们的脚步绝不会止步于此。

我们也会继续创作新作品，因为说来有趣，往往正是在巡演途中——在旅途中、在演出时、在结识新朋友的过程中——最棒的灵感才会迸发出来。

所以，我们会继续演出、旅行、创作，当然，还要继续把现场搞得天翻地覆！

We’ve just released our new album, Non Credo, on September 21st. It’s a concept album about religion, and now our main priority is taking it on tour.

It’s going to be a long tour across Italy and Europe, and we definitely won’t stop there.

We’ll keep writing new material too, because, ironically, it’s often when you’re on the road, traveling, playing shows and meeting new people that the best ideas come to you.

So we’ll keep playing, traveling, writing and, of course, causing fucking chaos!

V: 你们是一支资深且经典的乐队，我会继续关注并支持你们。也希望这次采访能让更多中国乐迷对你们的乐队产生兴趣并给予支持。在采访结束之际，你们有什么话想对中国的乐迷说吗？

You are a classic, long-established band, and I will continue to follow and support you. I also hope that this interview will encourage more Chinese fans to take an interest in and support your band. As we wrap up, is there anything you would like to say to your fans in China?

S: 首先，我们要感谢中国所有花时间聆听我们音乐的朋友——哪怕只是短短几分钟。

我们并不清楚Sfregio在中国知名度如何，但想到地球另一端有人在听我们的歌，这种感觉真的很棒。

音乐无需共通的语言也能建立人与人之间的联系。虽然我们用意大利语演唱，但愤怒、快乐、性、爱、失望、疯狂以及渴望相聚的心情，是每个人都能感同身受的。

First of all, we want to thank everyone in China who has spent even just a few minutes listening to our music.

We don’t know how well-known Sfregio are in China, but knowing that someone on the other side of the world is listening to our songs is an incredible feeling.

Music doesn’t need to speak the same language to create a connection between people. We sing in Italian, but anger, fun, sex, love, disappointment, madness and the desire to be together are things everyone can understand.
