今天采访到的是来自波兰的新晋Death Metal乐队Godslut，组建于2020年的Godslut已经走过了6个年头，2023年在Selfmadegod Records厂牌发行的第一张专辑“Procreation of God”得到了波兰本土歌迷的关注和支持，这支受到了Old School Death Metal的乐队，他们的歌曲无论是制作，编曲等方面都是非常用心，复杂的编曲和漂亮的Solo，可以感受到乐队的技术非常出众，今年乐队也发行了他们的最新单曲“Stifled”，在新单曲发行之际杂志通过Selfmadegod Records厂牌与乐队取得联系进行了一次专访！

Today we’re interviewing Godslut, an up-and-coming death metal band from Poland. Formed in 2020, Godslut has been active for six years now. Their debut album, Procreation of God, released in 2023 on Selfmadegod Records, has garnered attention and support from Polish fans. This band, deeply influenced by old-school death metal, puts a great deal of care into every aspect of their music—from production to arrangement— With complex arrangements and impressive solos, it’s clear the band possesses exceptional technical skill. This year, they also released their latest single, “Stifled.” To mark the release of this new single, our magazine reached out to the band through Selfmadegod Records for an exclusive interview!

V: 嗨，兄弟很高兴认识你，非常感谢你接受这次采访。我想这应该是你们乐队第一次接受中国杂志的采访。首先向所有中国乐迷问好。Godslut成立于2020年，所以你们是一支拥有6年历史的乐队。当初你们是怎么组建这支乐队的？

Hi bro, it's a pleasure to meet you and I'm very grateful for your participation in this interview. I think this is your band's first time being interviewed by a Chinese magazine. First of all, I'd like to say hello to all our Chinese fans. Godslut was formed in 2020, so you're a band with a 6-year history. How did you come to form this band in the first place?

K: 向所有中国朋友问好！是的，大致如此，不过前三年我主要是在学习如何写歌，并寻找合适的人选来组建一支真正的乐队，哈哈哈 :D

Greetings to all the Chinese folks! Yeah, pretty much, though the first 3 years was rather me learning how to write songs and searching for the right people to form an actual band hahah :D

V: 你们乐队去年换了一位新鼓手。第一任鼓手为什么离开乐队？新鼓手是如何加入乐队的，他又带来了哪些新的创作灵感？

Your band got a new drummer last year. Why did the first drummer leave the band? How did the new drummer join the band, and what new creative inspiration did he bring?

K: 看来我们现在的鼓手已经是第三位了 :) 第一位——Pavulon（曾效力于Hate、Decapitated、Vader、Chivas等乐队）因为工作太忙而无法兼顾，第二位——Mateusz Wróbel（曾效力于Sewer Dwellers、Faust、Obsidian Mantra等乐队）也是同样原因。现任鼓手Kuba是去年Icanraz（Icanraz，UKĆ、Corruption乐队成员）推荐加入的。虽然没带来太多新的灵感，但他确实是一位非常出色的音乐人。

Apparently our current drummer is our third one :) The first one - Pavulon (Hate, Decapitated, Vader, Chivas etc.) was too overwhelmed with work, similarly as the second one - Mateusz Wróbel (Sewer Dwellers, Faust, Obsidian Mantra). The current one - Kuba - joined us last year after being recommended by Icanraz (UKĆ, Corruption). Not much of an inspiration added, but such an awesome musician though.

V: 你们乐队的每位成员都是拥有丰富创作经验的音乐人。你们曾参与过许多乐队，并创作了大量经典作品。你们还刚刚发行了一首新单曲。能谈谈你们的创作过程吗？

Every member of your band is a musician with rich creative experience. You have participated in many bands and created many classic works. You have also just released a new single. Can you talk about your creative process?

- 说实话，我们其实并没有什么固定的创作过程 😅 我（Krzysiek）只是在灵感涌现时写歌，仅此而已

Well, to be honest we don’t really have a creative process 😅 I (Krzysiek) just write the songs when I get some ideas and that’s basically how it rolls.

V: 你们的录音效果非常棒。这张专辑是在哪家录音室录制的？由谁担任制作人？新单曲的录音过程如何？

Your recording is excellent. Which studio did you record the album in? Who produced it? How did the recording process for the new single go?

K: 非常感谢！这张专辑以及所有单曲（希望以后还能推出更多）都是在Say10 Industries（当然是在波兰）录制并制作的。不过混音和母带处理是在我们信赖的JNS Studio完成的，Paweł在那里让作品听起来非常棒，同时又没有过度修饰素材 :) 整个过程相当顺利，虽然之后乐队成员们差点想割掉我的头皮，因为我作为制作人合作起来相当难搞，哈哈哈

Thank you very much! The album, as well as all the singles (there’s more coming hopefully) were recorded and produced in Say10 Industries (in Poland naturally). The mix and mastering segment however was done in our trusted JNS Studio, where Paweł made it sound fabulous without overpumping the material :) The whole process - pretty smooth, though the guys wanted to scalp me afterwards because I’m a pretty tough producer to work with hahah

V: 你们乐队的标志设计得非常精美。我觉得它有点像Death乐队的标志。这个标志的设计是否受到了Death的启发？你们的专辑封面设计也很精美，有燃烧的教堂和地狱般的场景。是谁为你们设计的这张封面？设计灵感来自哪里？你们的新封面以黑色为主，中央有一把手枪。又是谁为你们设计了这张新封面？

Your band's logo is beautifully designed. I think it's somewhat similar to Death's logo. Was the logo design inspired by Death? Your album art is also beautifully designed, with a burning church and hellish scenes. Who designed this artwork for you? What inspired them? Your new artwork is predominantly black, with a pistol in the center. Who designed this new artwork for you?

K: 关于标志，老实说我不太确定 😅 这是我们的朋友Maciej Skrzypek手绘的设计，后来就这么留下来了 :) 这两张专辑封面都是由Michał “Xaay” Loranc从零开始设计的，他因曾为Nile、Pestilence、Turbo等众多乐队设计专辑封面而闻名。

Logo-wise, I’m not sure to be honest 😅 We got the design hand drawn by our friend Maciej Skrzypek and it just happened to stay with us :) Both the cover artworks were designed from the very scratch by Michał “Xaay” Loranc, known also from making cover arts for Nile, Pestilence, Turbo and many more.

V: 你们音乐的主题是什么？为什么选择这个主题，又想通过它表达什么？歌词是你们自己写的吗？是谁写的，创作灵感来自哪里？

What is the theme of your music? Why did you choose this theme, and what do you want to express through it? Did you write the lyrics? Who wrote them, and what inspired them?

K: 我们其实并没有一个单一的主题。首张专辑表达的是一种简单的反抗，反对那些迫使你屈服的宗教领袖；歌词主要由我（Krzysiek）和Szczepan Inglot（Stellar Blight、Wolfpach Heading Nowhere）创作。第二张专辑"The Art Of Deconstruction"则更深入地探讨了我们的心理状态。歌词内容要么是关于在各种情境下处于崩溃边缘并逐渐陷入疯狂；要么是关于将我们推向这一境地的各种境遇。当然，具体内容取决于每首歌。这些歌词再次由我、我们的贝斯手Daniel以及Karolina Dziewońska，Inverne乐队成员共同创作，她还在同名主打歌中献声 :)

We don’t really have a singular theme. The first album was a simple rebellion contrary to the religious leaders making you submit; the lyrics were written mostly by me (Krzysiek) and Szczepan Inglot (Stellar Blight, Wolfpach Heading Nowhere). The second one - “The Art Of Deconstruction’ - digs deeper into our mentality. The lyrics are either about being on your edge and morphing into insanity, also in different sets of situations; or about different circumstances that lead us there. Depending on the song of course. Those were written again by me, our bass player (Daniel) and Karolina Dziewońska (Inverne), who is featured on the title song :)

V: 你们一直与Selfmadegod Records合作，这是一家你们国家非常优秀的唱片公司。他们曾为许多来自你们国家的乐队发行过专辑，并在你们国家乐坛的成功中发挥了至关重要的作用。你们是如何与他们建立联系的？

You have been working with Selfmadegod Records, a very good record company in your country. They have released many bands from your country and played a vital role in your country's success. How did you get in touch with them?

K: 是一位朋友把我们介绍给他们的，之后我们就一直合作至今 :)

A friend got us in touch and we basically just stayed :)

V: 首先，恭喜你们发行了新专辑。你们是一支经典的Old School死亡金属乐队。你们的作品中大量运用了复古的吉他riff、优美的独奏，而Thrash元素的融入更让作品充满复古气息。此外，你们的编曲复杂且极具技术性。你们对自己的作品有何看法？与以往的作品相比，新专辑有哪些变化？

First of all, congratulations on the release of your new work. You are a classic Old School Death Metal band. Your work uses a lot of retro riffs, beautiful solos, and the use of thrash elements makes your work even more retro. Moreover, your arrangements are complex and very technical. What are your thoughts on your work? How has the new work changed compared to the old work?

K: 主要的变化就是我们不断成长。不同的灵感来源、更广阔的音乐想象力，以及不同的生活经历。至于编曲方面，我也不知道，就是自然而然形成的哈哈哈

The main thing that happened is that we just developed. Different inspirations, wider musical imagination, different life experiences. Arrangement-wise, I don’t know, it just happens hahah

V: 哪些音乐节给你们乐队留下了深刻印象？能描述一下那些活动的氛围吗？2026年你们还计划参加哪些音乐节？

Which music festivals left a deep impression on your band? Could you describe the atmosphere at those events? What other music festivals are you planning to participate in in 2026?

K: 今年最棒的绝对是传奇的Mystic Festival。组织工作非常专业，工作人员既出色又热情，观众更是疯狂又超级有趣。绝对会再去。2026年暂时没有计划参加其他音乐节，不过我们安排了一些俱乐部演出，大家可以在我们的社交媒体平台上关注一下！

This year’s winner was definitely the legendary Mystic Festival. Absolutely professional organizaition-wise, great, warm-hearted staff, and an insane, super fun crowd. Definitely would repeat. No other festivals planned for 2026, though we’ve got some club shows that you can check out on our social media platforms!

V: 你们发行了一首新单曲，而新单曲的发行通常意味着乐队即将推出新专辑。我知道你们也即将发行第二张正式专辑。对于新专辑的发行，你们有什么期待吗？

You've released a new single, and the release of a new single usually indicates that a band is about to release a new album. I know you're also about to release your second official album. What are your expectations for the release of the new album?

K: 我们在专辑中完全打破了一些死亡金属的主要规则，所以其实也不知道会发生什么，哈哈哈，不过我们还是非常期待，迫不及待想看到大家的反应 :)

We totally disrecpected some main death metal rules in it, so we don’t really know what’s gonna happen hahah We are super concerned though and can’t wait for everybody’s reactions :)

V: 你们是一支非常棒的乐队，我今后也会继续关注并支持你们。我也希望通过这次采访，能让更多的中国乐迷关注并支持你们。采访即将结束，最后，你们想对中国的乐迷说些什么吗？

You are an excellent band, and I will continue to follow and support you. I also hope that through this interview, more Chinese fans will pay attention to and support your band. The interview is about to end. In closing, is there anything you would like to say to your Chinese fans?
