Today we are still introducing the Polish band Vitur, formed in 2020 by Mat and Kamil. After searching for other members to join the band, the band began to create works. From 2022 to 2024, the band released two singles, which received attention from the Deformeating Production label in Poland. In 2025, they released their first official album "Transcending the Self", which is a highly technical work. The complex arrangement is overwhelming, and the complex and varied Riff also makes many fans who like technical genres ecstatic. The drummer's fast and precise hitting is also the highlight of the entire album. This work has also been rated as 2025. The best Technical Death Metal album of the first half of the year, featuring Mat from the magazine band at the time of the release of the new album I got in touch for an exclusive interview!

Hello, brother. Thank you very much for participating in this interview. I am also very happy to meet you. I believe this is the first time your band has been interviewed by a Chinese magazine. First, please say hello to all your Chinese fans. Vitur was formed in 2020 and is a very young band. Who first proposed forming this band?

M: 嗨！是的，这是我们第一次与中国杂志交谈，我们很高兴有机会向中国金属乐队和音乐迷介绍自己，所以你好向大家介绍。是的，Vitur成立于2020年底，我（Mat）在社交媒体上发现了Kamil的帖子，他正在寻找音乐家组成一个Technical Death Metal乐队，这就是它的开始。然而，在我们开始为我们的首张专辑创作素材之前，已经过去了将近两年的时间。在那段时间里，我们一直在寻找其他成员，这不是一项容易的任务。

Hi! Yes, that's the first time we are talking with Chinese magazine and we are very pleased to have an opportunity to introduce ourselves to Chinese metalheads and music fans, so Ni Hao to all of You. Yes, Vitur was formed at the end of 2020, I (Mat) found Kamil's post on social medias that he is looking for musicians to form a technical death metal band and that's how it started. Nevertheless, before we started writing material for our debut album almost 2 years had passed. For all that time we were looking for other members and it wasn't an easy mission.

V: 你的乐队今年换了鼓手。原来的鼓手为什么离开乐队？新鼓手是怎么加入乐队的，你对新成员的工作满意吗？

Your band replaced its drummer this year. Why did the original drummer leave the band? How did the new drummer join the band, and are you satisfied with the new member's work?

M: 是的，年初我们的阵容发生了变化。Ignacy决定完全专注于他的另一个乐队。在他看来，这是一个显而易见的选择。我们的新鼓手Norbert是一位技术精湛的演奏家，也参与了我们第二张专辑的创作，所以我们很高兴能与他合作。此外，他对我们来说并不是什么新鲜事。在Ignacy加入乐队之前，我们想和他一起玩，但当时他因个人原因无法加入。

Yes, we had a change in a squad at the beginning of the year. Ignacy decided to fully focus on his other band. From his point of view it was an obvious choice. Our new drummer - Norbert - is very skilled and technical playing musician and is also involved in writing material for our second album, so we are satisfied and glad to work with him. Furthernore, he is not that new for us. We wanted to play with him before Ignacy joined the band but he couldn't join at that time for personal reasons.

Every member of your band is highly skilled at playing their instrument. It seems that you are all experienced musicians. Could you tell us a little about your creative process?

M: 我们大多数人都不是经验丰富的音乐家。Kamil在我们组建乐队时只有16岁，Michał比他大一岁。我和Norbert在其他乐队如Black Mad Lice和Misanthropic Rage也有一些经验。尽管年纪轻轻，Kamil和Michał却非常熟练。关于创作过程，这很简单。大多数情况下，我们在家写歌，然后发给其他人，这样他们就可以添加自己的角色。

Most of us are not an experienced musicians. Kamil was 16 while we were forming a band, Michał is one year older than him. Me and Norbert have some experience from other bands like Black Mad Lice and Misanthropic Rage. Despite young age - Kamil and Michał are very skilled. Regarding the creative process - it's very simple. Mostly we write songs at home and send to the others so they can add their parts.

V: 你的专辑音质很好。你在哪个录音室录制的？谁制作了这张专辑？录音过程顺利吗？

The sound quality of your album is excellent. Which studio did you record it in? Who produced the album? Did the recording process go smoothly?

M: 我们在华沙的JNS录音室录制了鼓。吉他和贝斯DI是在家里通过Audient界面录制的，人声是在我的私人隔音房间里完成的。混音和母带制作由Filip Kłobuszewski在www.ShapeTheSound.com完成。录制过程进行得相当顺利。鼓和吉他在几天内录制完毕，贝斯和人声在两天内录制完成。

We recorded drums at JNS Studio in Warsaw. Guitars and bass DI's were recorded at home via Audient interface and vocals were done at my private soundproofed room. Mix and Mastering were made by Filip Kłobuszewski at www.ShapeTheSound.com. The recording process went pretty well. Drums and guitars were recorded in few days, bass and vocals in two days.

Your band's logo is beautifully designed. Who designed it for you? Your album artwork is also beautifully designed. Who designed it for you?

Yes, we are very pleased with our logo, it was made by Hatch Logos. Cover art was made by Juan Rigo from Portugal. It shows the atmosphere of the album and it illustrates the concept.

What is the theme of your music? Why did you choose this theme, and what do you want to express through it? You also wrote the lyrics. Who wrote them, and where did they get their inspiration?

M: “Transcending The Self”是一张概念专辑，歌词由我和Kamil共同创作。这张专辑描述了一个人的一种心理衰退，最终导致空虚和虚无。这在一定程度上受到了洛夫克拉夫特小说"The Crawling Chaos"的启发，但并不是对它的字面描述。我们对心理学以及人们在人生不同阶段发生的事情感兴趣，我们也是Lovecraft的粉丝，因此将这两件事结合在歌词中对我们来说很自然。

Transcending The Self is a concept album and the lyrics were written by me and Kamil. The album describes a kind of psychological decline of an individual that ultimately leads to a void and nothingness. This is partly inspired by Lovecraft's novels such as "The Crawling Chaos," but is not a literal description of it. We are interested in psychology and what happens to people at different points in their lives, and we are also Lovecraft fans, so combining these two things in our lyrics feels natural to us.

V: 你的乐队成立于2020年，但你的第一首歌直到2022年才发行。是什么让你决定等两年再发布你的作品？

Your band was formed in 2020, but your first song was not released until 2022. What made you decide to wait two years before releasing your work?

M: 正如我之前提到的，这是由于我们不得不应对的许多阵容变化。找到愿意演奏相当复杂音乐的人需要一段时间。

As I mentioned earlier, this is due to the many lineup changes we've had to deal with. Finding people willing to play the rather complex music took a while.

Your band collaborated with Deformeathing Production to release your first official album. How did you get in touch with this label to collaborate? Are you satisfied with the work of this label?

M: 录制完这张专辑后，我们把它寄给了几个唱片公司，Deformeathing Production是首批回应的唱片公司之一。我们听到了很多关于Deformeathing Prod.的积极意见，所以选择对我们来说很明确。Wojtek为我们提供了一个让我们满意的条件，当然他也帮了我们很多。

After recording the album we sent it to a few labels and Deformeathing Production was one of the first that answered. We heard a lot of positive opinions about Deformeathing Prod., so the choice was clear to us. Wojtek offered us a conditions that satisfied us and of course he helps us a lot.

V: 首先，祝贺你们乐队今年刚刚发行的第一张官方专辑“Transcending the Self”。这是一部技术精湛的作品，有复杂的编排、多样的重复段和出色的、多才多艺的鼓点。这位歌手凶狠恶毒的嗓音让你的作品在2025年脱颖而出。你对自己的工作有什么看法？

First of all, congratulations on your band's first official album, “Transcending the Self,” which was just released this year. It's a technically sophisticated work with complex arrangements, varied riffs, and excellent, versatile drumming. The singer's fierce and vicious vocals make your work stand out in 2025. What are your thoughts on your own work?

M: 非常感谢。回想起来，我们对自己创造的东西感到满意。当然，我们不可能对你所做的事情100%满意，但我们的首次亮相所受到的欢迎让我们相信我们做得很好。

Thank You. In retrospect, we're content with what we created. Of course, it's impossible to be 100% satisfied with what you've done, but the reception our debut has received allows us to believe we did a good job.

V: 你的乐队参加过任何现场表演吗？哪些给你留下了深刻的印象？你能描述一下当时的气氛吗？

Has your band ever participated in any live performances? Which ones left a deep impression on you? Can you describe the atmosphere at the time?

M: 我们喜欢现场演奏，我们把每一场音乐会都视为一场必须赢得胜利和征服新领土的旅程和战斗。我们举办了很多音乐会，最令人难忘的是与Defeated Sanity和Kurgaall的音乐会。我们还计划在秋季与著名的波兰Death Metal乐队Sphere进行巡演。

We love playing live and we treat every concert as a journey and a battle that must be won and new territory conquered. We played a lot of concerts, and the most memorable ones were those with Defeated Sanity and Kurgaall. We also have a tour planned for the fall with the well-known Polish death metal band Sphere.

V: 虽然你是一支非常年轻的乐队，但你的作品给我留下了深刻的印象。我一直在关注和支持你的乐队，我希望通过这次采访让更多的中国歌迷会关注和支持你们的乐队。最后你有什么想对你的中国歌迷说的吗？

Although you are a very young band, your work has left a deep impression on me. I have been following and supporting your band, and I hope that through this interview, more Chinese fans will pay attention to and support your band. Finally, is there anything you would like to say to your Chinese fans?

M: 我们很高兴我们的专辑只获得了积极的评价，甚至已经到达了中国，这对我们来说太遥远了。我们很想有一天能在那里演奏，这当然不容易，但谁知道未来会怎样。向来自你们美丽国家的所有Death Metal粉丝致以最诚挚的问候。谢谢！

We're thrilled that our album is receiving only positive reviews and has even reached China, which is so far away for us. We'd love to play there someday, it certainly wouldn't be easy, but who knows what the future holds. Warmest regards to all death metal fans from your beautiful country. Xiexie!
