印尼大屠杀 - 印尼Grindcore / Punk乐队Disobedience专访

印尼作为亚洲的金属大国，一直为亚洲的金属事业做出很多的贡献，不仅仅孕育了大量的优秀乐队，同时也被很多优秀的厂牌挖掘发行专辑，每年印尼都有大量的优秀作品发行，印尼不仅仅有着优秀的乐队，也有拥有着很多优秀的厂牌，从而可见印尼的金属氛围发展的非常完善，不仅仅为其他国家的乐队发行专辑，也为很多优秀的音乐节输送了大量的乐队参与演出，让更多的各国歌迷领略印尼的风采，当然在其中也包含了一些不鲜为人知的乐队生存在印尼的金属圈子当中，这类并不代表他们的作品不优秀，反而只是没有做更好的宣传而已，所以让这类乐队不被更多人知道，今天采访到的就是这样一支乐队，来自印尼的Grindcore / Punk乐队Disobedience，组建于1998年的Disobedience乐队绝对是印尼最有资历，最地下的一支乐队，他们受到了早期的Punk和Grindcore这类风格影响很深，从而他们也将两种风格元素结合在一起，让更多人想起了一些Old School Grindcore乐队，同时Disobedience也参加了印尼很多的演出，是一支在印尼备受关注的乐队，去年乐队也发行了一张全新的专辑和两首单曲，在新专辑发行之际乐队与杂志取得联系进行了一次专访！

As a major force in the Asian metal scene, Indonesia has consistently made significant contributions to the region’s metal industry. Not only has it nurtured a large number of outstanding bands, but it has also been home to many excellent record labels that have released albums. Every year, Indonesia produces a wealth of outstanding works. Indonesia boasts not only outstanding bands but also numerous excellent record labels, demonstrating that the country’s metal scene has developed into a highly mature ecosystem. It not only releases albums for bands from other countries but also sends a large number of bands to perform at many prestigious music festivals, allowing fans from around the world to experience the essence of Indonesia’s metal scene. Of course, there are also some lesser-known bands operating within Indonesia’s metal scene. This does not mean their work is inferior; rather, it simply means they haven’t received adequate promotion, which is why these bands remain unknown to a wider audience. The band we’re interviewing today is one such group: the Indonesian Grindcore/Punk band Disobedience. Formed in 1998, Disobedience is undoubtedly one of Indonesia’s most veteran and underground bands. They’ve been deeply influenced by early punk and grindcore, blending elements of both genres to evoke the sound of classic old-school grindcore bands. Disobedience has performed at numerous shows across Indonesia and is a highly regarded act in the country. Last year, the band released a new album and two singles, and to mark the album’s release, they reached out to our magazine for an exclusive interview!

V: 嘿，老兄，很高兴见到你，非常感谢你同意接受这次采访。我记得这是你们乐队首次接受中国杂志的采访，对吧？首先，请向所有中国乐迷问好。Disobedience 成立于 1998 年，是一支历史悠久的老牌乐队。你们当初是怎么组建这支乐队的？

Hey, man, it’s great to meet you, and thank you so much for agreeing to this interview. I believe this is your band’s first interview with a Chinese magazine, right? First off, please say hello to all your Chinese fans. Disobedience was formed in 1998 and is a long-standing, veteran band. How did you guys originally get the band together?

D: 中国的朋友们，大家好，你们好吗？这是Disobedience乐队首次接受中国媒体的采访，感谢Volcano杂志。最初，Ucha、Ipanx、Jambul和Budi聚在一起组建了乐队，因为我们想向当时由苏哈托总统领导的政府表达我们的观点。1998年5月，民众反抗苏哈托总统政府，引发了大规模骚乱。正是那次事件激发了我们组建乐队的愿望，乐队名称“Disobedience”由Fredy The Subway所取。

Hello friends in China, how are you? This is the first time Disobedience has been interviewed by Chinese media, thanks to Volcano Magazine. Initially, Ucha, Ipanx, Jambul and Budi gathered to form a band, because we wanted to voice our opinions to the government which at that time was led by President Soeharto. In May 1998, major riots occurred when the people rebelled against the government of President Soeharto. From that incident, the desire to form a band arose, the name Disobedience was created by Fredy The Subway.

V: 你们乐队的阵容经历了多次变动。原成员为何离开乐队？新成员是如何加入的，你们对他们的工作表现满意吗？

D: 确实，乐队阵容经历了多次变动，因为有些人忙于工作，有些人决定不再从事音乐，还有些成员因音乐理念上的分歧而退出。但最让我们难过的是，我们的鼓手布迪去世了。目前乐队中唯一留下的成员是Ipanx，现任成员都是来自“死资本家”聚会圈的朋友。我们对新成员的工作表现非常满意。

It is true that there have been many changes in formation because some are busy working, some have decided not to make music, There are also personnel who resigned because of differences in music. but what makes us sad is that our drummer Budi passed away. The only personnel who remains in the band is Ipanx The current personnel are friends from the Dead Capitalist hangout scene. We are very satisfied with the work of the new personnel.

Your band has gone through a lot of lineup changes. Why did the original members leave the band? How did the new members join the band, and are you satisfied with their work?

D: 在创作歌曲时，我们总是齐心协力，相互交流想法，确保音乐编曲与歌词相得益彰。我们的歌词主题涵盖政治、社会问题以及我们的个人生活。我们也积极参与每一场反政府行动并向公众征集生活中的不满——例如恶劣的工作环境、食品价格上涨、健康福祉等问题，这些都成为我们创作歌词的灵感来源。

In making a song, we are always together, exchanging ideas, the musical arrangement and lyrics must be in harmony. The themes for our song lyrics tell about politics, social issues and our personal lives. We also participate in every action against the government, we also ask the public about their life complaints such as difficult work spaces, rising food prices, Health well-being and many other things that inspire us in writing song lyrics.

V: 你们是一支在歌曲创作方面经验丰富的乐队。能否跟我们聊聊你们的创作过程？我相信你们的经验会激励许多年轻音乐人。新成员为乐队带来了哪些新的创作灵感？

You are a group of musicians with extensive experience in songwriting. Could you tell us a bit about your creative process? I’m sure your experience will inspire many young musicians. What new creative ideas have the new members brought to the band?

D: 我们于1998年组建了这支乐队并在1999年活跃于乐坛，但在探索音乐风格与流派的过程中，我们重新审视了这一切。如果你聆听收录于2000年发行的"Still One Still Proud Volume 3"合辑中的歌曲"Religion Religious"，会发现这首歌的音乐风格与我们2001年首张专辑"Fight War Fight Class"中的其他歌曲截然不同。这首歌虽于2025年上传至数字平台，但我们实际上从1999年就开始录制了。

We formed this band in 1998 and were active in 1999, the process of searching for musical colors / musical genres made us think again. If you listen to our song "Religion Religious" on the Still One Still Proud Volume 3 compilation released in 2000. The song is a different genre of music from our other songs on our first album "Fight War Fight Class" which was released in 2001 Our song was uploaded on digital platforms in 2025, but we actually recorded the song starting in 1999.

V: 你们乐队的专辑音质非常出色。是在哪家录音棚录制的？专辑的制作人是谁？

Your band's album has excellent sound quality. Which studio did you record it at? Who produced the album for you?

D: 我们所有的歌曲都是在印度尼西亚贝卡西市庞多克格德地区的“K Studio”录制的。我们的首张专辑"Fight War Fight Class"于2001年由雅加达的独立厂牌Movement Records发行。

We recorded all our songs at "K Studio" in Pondok Gede area Bekasi Indonesia. Our first album "Fight War Fight Class" was released by the independent label from Jakarta, Movement Records in 2001.

V: 你们音乐的主题是什么？为什么选择这个主题，又希望通过它传达什么？歌词也是由你们创作的——是谁写的，灵感来源于哪里？

What is the theme of your music? Why did you choose this theme, and what do you hope to convey through it? You also wrote the lyrics—who wrote them, and where did they draw their inspiration from?

D: 最初我们演奏的是HC Noise Punk，在经历了目前的阵容变动后，我们将音乐风格稍作调整，转变为HC Grind Punk我们选择这种音乐风格，是因为我们认为它非常适合我们所写的歌词——这些歌词表达了愤怒、对政府政策的反抗以及对政府腐败的谴责，因为我国政府的治理状况并不理想。我们的歌词由全体成员共同创作，其中也有几首是由The Subways乐队的Fredy创作的。我们创作歌曲的灵感源于周围的环境，特别是对充满谎言的政治的厌恶。归根结底，我们写的是我们真实的感受。

In the beginning we played HC Noise Punk, after the current personnel change we slightly changed our music genre to HC Grind Punk. We chose this musical theme because we thought it was very suitable for the lyrics we wrote about anger, rebellion against government policies, government corruption, Because the government in our country is not doing well. The lyrics of our songs are written by all the members, there are also several songs written by Fredy from The Subways. Our inspiration for writing songs comes from our surroundings, about our dislike of politics which is full of lies. In essence, we write songs about what we feel.

V: 你们的标志设计非常简洁，但我个人特别喜欢这种风格，因为它让我很容易记住你们的乐队名称。这个标志是谁设计的？你们的专辑封面非常独特——是谁创作的？

Your logo design is very simple, but this style is my personal favorite because it makes it easy for me to remember your name. Who designed this logo for you? Your album art is very unique—who created it?

D: 这个标志由Ipanx设计，设计得非常简洁，以便大家能记住这个“Disobedience”的标志。说到专辑"Fight War Fight Class"的封面，其中有个小趣闻。Jambull是我们第一任吉他手，当时他去拜访了我们一位名叫Kinoy的朋友（来自Brutal Huru Hara乐队）。在翻看Kinoy的杂志收藏时，发现了一本关于一战和二战的杂志，里面有一张德国战车的图片，这张图片在Kinoy不知情的情况下被撕了下来。我们将那张图片用作专辑"Fight War Fight Class"的封面。专辑发行后，他才发现封面图片取自他的战争杂志收藏，他当时既生气又觉得好笑。

This logo was created by Ipanx, because it was made very simple so that people can remember this Disobedience logo. Talking about the cover of the album Fight War Fight Class, there is a little funny story in it, Jambull was our first guitarist, visiting the house of our friend named Kinoy from Brutal Huru Hara, Looking at Kinoy's magazine collection, there is 1 magazine about World War I & II, there is a picture of a German war tank, the picture was torn without Kinoy knowing. We made that picture the cover of the album Fight War Fight Class, after the album was released he found out that the cover was taken from his collection of war magazines and he was very angry but also laughed.

V: 你们乐队的音乐充满了老派碾核和朋克的元素——混乱的吉他即兴段落、狂热的鼓点以及狂野的嗓音——赋予了你们的音乐一种令人振奋的氛围。你们对自己的作品有何看法？

Your band’s music is filled with elements of old-school grindcore and punk—chaotic riffs, frenzied drumming, and wild vocals—giving your music a really exhilarating vibe. What are your thoughts on your work?

D: 尽管我们的专辑不如其他乐队的好，但我们当然为它的发行感到非常自豪，我们依然活跃在这个音乐领域，也许在我们歌曲的子流派中还存在其他类型的音乐。

We are of course very proud of our album release even though it is not as good as other bands, but we still exist in this type of music, maybe there are other types of music in our song subgenre.

V: 作为一支历史悠久的乐队，你们参加过许多现场演出。哪些演出给你们留下了深刻印象？能否描述一下当时演出的氛围？2026年你们还有哪些现场演出计划？

As a long-established band, you’ve performed at many live shows. Which ones left a lasting impression on you? Could you describe the atmosphere at those shows? What live performances are in store for you in 2026?

D: 我们举办过的最大规模演出，也是让我们至今难忘的，是2000年4月在雅加达举办的“Stop The Conflict II”。当时活动被警方叫停，结果引发全场愤怒，最终演变成与警方的冲突，这成为2000年代初雅加达朋克音乐史上规模最大的骚乱。2026年年中，我们将前往印度尼西亚爪哇岛进行巡演，以推广计划于2026年5月底发行的专辑。

The biggest show we've ever played and it's always memorable for us is “Stop The Conflict II” in Jakarta in April 2000, the event was stopped by the police until everyone got angry and fought with the police, The biggest riot in the history of Punk music events in the early 2000s in Jakarta. In mid-2026 we will be touring Java in Indonesia in promotion of our album which is planned to be released at the end of May 2026.

V: 你们为2026年规划了哪些新项目——比如创作和录制新歌？能否和我们分享一些细节？

What new projects do you have planned for 2026—such as writing and recording new songs? Can you share any details with us?

D: 我们目前正在录音室录制新歌，有两种可能：一是与一支比利时乐队合作发行合辑，二是推出我们的第二张专辑，敬请期待我们的新动态。

We are currently recording our new song in the studio, there are two possibilities: a split album with a Belgian band or we will release a second album, so just wait for something new from us.

V: 作为一支优秀的乐队，我将继续关注并支持你们。我也希望这次采访能帮助更多中国乐迷了解并关注你们的乐队。在采访即将结束之际，你们还有什么想对中国的乐迷说的吗？

As an excellent band, I’ll continue to follow and support you. I also hope this interview will help more Chinese fans get to know and follow your band. As we’re wrapping up, is there anything else you’d like to say to your Chinese fans?
