今天采访到的是Ger参与的另外一支乐队Impure Faith，组建于2006年的Impure Faith乐队，是目前哥伦比亚一支非常有资历的老牌乐队，由吉他手组建，如果你是Carnal、Internal Suffering和Goretrade等乐队的歌迷，那么请留意这支乐队2018年发行第一张正式专辑“Revelation of Exodus”，哥伦比亚独有的野蛮感，让这支乐队迅速成为了当时最炙手可热的专辑之一，乐队在一些细节上处理的的非常合理，不仅仅突出了残酷感也很好的体现出技术性，歌手粗鲁，野蛮的演唱，让这张专辑更加残酷，虽然在2018年之后乐队再也没有任何新的作品发行，但是在今年乐队也即将发行他们的最新作品，在新专辑即将发行之际乐队的鼓手Ger于杂志取得联系进行了一次采访！

Today's interview was with another band that Ger participated in, Impure Faith, formed in 2006. Impure Faith is a highly qualified veteran band in Colombia, composed of guitarists. If you are a fan of bands such as Carnal, Internal Suffering, and Goretrade, please pay attention to their first official album "Revelation of Exodus" released in 2018, The unique sense of barbarism in Colombia quickly made this band one of the hottest albums at the time. The band handled some details very reasonably, not only highlighting the cruelty but also reflecting the technicality. The rude and savage singing of the singer made this album even more brutal. Although the band has not released any new works since 2018, they are about to release their latest work this year. As the new album is about to be released, the band's drummer Ger contacted the magazine for an interview!

V: 你好兄弟，很高兴见到你，非常感谢你参加这次采访。我想这是你们乐队第一次接受中国杂志的采访。Impure Faith成立于2006年，是一支历史悠久的乐队。谁提议组建这个乐队？

Hello brother, it's nice to meet you and thank you very much for participating in this interview. I think this is the first time your band has been interviewed by a Chinese magazine. Impure Faith was founded in 2006 and is a long-standing band. Who proposed the formation of this band?

G: 嗨，兄弟，很高兴见到你并为所有从远处听我们乐队演奏的人欢呼。乐队由Andres Zapata（吉他手）于2006年12月成立，其想法是保留由Carnal、Internal Suffering和Goretrade等乐队在我们地区发起的残酷死亡乐队。

Hi Brother, it’s a pleasure to meet you and cheers to everyone who listens to our band from far away. The band was formed back in December 2006 by Andres Zapata (guitar), the idea was to keep the brutal death line that was originated in our region by bands like Carnal, Internal Suffering and Goretrade.

V: 你的乐队还有第一代成员吗？为什么第一代成员离开了乐队？新成员是如何加入乐队的，你对他们的工作满意吗？

Do you still have the first generation members in your band? Why did the first generation members leave the band? How did the new members join the band and are you satisfied with their work?

G: 唯一还在乐队演奏的资助成员是我们的吉他手Andres。所有其他成员都因为不同的原因离开了乐队，大多离开了这个国家或搬到了另一个城市。随后，第二代乐队成立（2013-2017）：

-Gerard D’Paublus (vocals)

-George Henry (Bass) from Grotesque Atrocity

-Engelbert Rodas (Drums) ex Inbreeding Sick

通过这次合作，乐队参加了全国各地的一些节日。阵容再次改变，两名成员决定分道扬镳。第三代（2018-2022）迎来了新的鼓手和贝斯手：

-Mauro Mazuera (Drums) Ex Goretrade, Batushka (live)

鼓手搬到了加拿大，歌手无法跟上乐队的节奏，因为他没有足够的时间，他的奉献精神也不一样。因此，第四代也是最后一代出现了，毫无疑问，这是乐队所拥有的最佳阵容（实际）。我们目前的鼓手Gerson Puello（Cercenoratory）加入进来，带来了更高的精度和技术，帮助他演奏的每一个即兴重复段和音符听起来更强更重，他是我们国家的顶级鼓手。还加入了Ricardo Medina（前Cercenoratory），他是一位世界级的歌手，拥有强大的喉咙，让耳朵因他传递的所有仇恨和愤怒而流血。他是我们建立最后一个阵容所需要的前锋。

The only funding member still playing in the band is our guitar player Andres. All other members left the band because of different reasons, mostly leaving the country or moving to a different city. Then the second generation of the band was built (2013-2017):

-Gerard D’Paublus (vocals)

-George Henry (Bass) from Grotesque Atrocity

-Engelbert Rodas (Drums) ex Inbreeding Sick

Whith this lien up the band participated in some festivals around the country. The lineup changed again, two members decide to part ways. Here comes the third generation (2018-2022) with a new drummer and bassist:

-Mauro Mazuera (Drums) Ex Goretrade, Batushka (live)

The drummer moves to Canada and the vocalist can’t keep the band’s pace because he didn’t have enough time and his dedication was not the same. Therefore, the fourth and last generation comes up, which is without question the best line up the band has had (actual). Our current drummer Gerson Puello (Cercenatory) joins bringing more precision and technique, helping every riff and note sound stronger and heavier with his playing, a top drummer in our country. Also joins Ricardo Medina (ex-Cercenatory), a world class vocalist with his potent gutturals that makes ears bleed with all the hate and anger he transmits. He was the front man we needed to build our very last lineup.

V: 你的乐队成立于2006年，但你的第一张专辑直到2018年才发行。是什么让你在多年后选择发行专辑？

Your band was formed in 2006, but your first album was only released in 2018. What caused you to choose to release an album after many years?

G: 发行这张专辑花了这么长时间的唯一原因是我们的成员并不稳定。只有在2018年，我们才能按照我们想要的方式巩固我们的声音。有了这个阵容，我们录制了首张专辑。

The only reason it took so long to release the album was because our members were not really solid and stable. Only in 2018 we could consolidate our sound the way we wanted. With that lineup we recorded the debut album.

V: 你的乐队在2018年发行的专辑是如何创作的？你能介绍一下创作过程吗？

How was the album released by your band in 2018 created? Can you introduce the creative process?

G: 有了这些伟大的音乐家，在视觉和音乐创意方面，这对乐队来说就像一个新的开始。每个人都在这张音乐作品上尽了最大的努力。“Revelation of Exodus”绝对是一张很棒的专辑，沉重有力的即兴重复段，深沉的喉音和尖叫声，深沉而明显的低音，以300bpm的速度快速击鼓。60%的歌曲主要是快节奏的爆发性节拍，然后是非常密集的大满贯部分，深色音调，这是不纯信仰的明显代表。

With these great musicians it was like a new beginning for the band in terms of visuals and music creativity. Everyone added their best on that music work. “Revelation of Exodus” is definitely a great album, heavy strong riffs, deep gutturals and screams, profound and pronounced bass, very fast drumming at 300bpm. 60% of the songs are mostly fast blast beats followed by very dense slam parts, dark tones, which is a distinct representation of Impure Faith.

V: 你的专辑录音效果很好。你在哪个录音室录制了这张专辑？哪位制作人为你制作了这张专辑？

Your album has excellent recording effects. Which studio did you record the album in? Which producer made the album for you?

G: 负责制作、混音和母带制作的是Cesar Vera（Goretrade创始人）在他的工作室Density SoundLab。他作为音乐家的丰富经验对我们获得所需的声音帮助很大。

The man in charge of production, mixing and mastering was Cesar Vera (Goretrade Founder) at his studio Density SoundLab. His great experience as a musician was great help to us to acquire the sound we were looking for.

V: 你们乐队的Logo设计很漂亮。谁为你设计了这个Logo？你的专辑封面设计病得很厉害。谁为你设计了这件艺术品？

Your band's logo design is very beautiful. Who designed this logo for you? Your album artwork design is very sick. Who designed this artwork for you?

G: 我们的第一个Logo是2006年至2018年的最新Logo。当Mario（Bass）加入乐队时，他更新了乐队的Logo并帮助成倍地提升了乐队的形象，这比之前的形象产生了更好的影响。关于专辑的艺术品，主要设计是由伟大的设计师Juan Bulla完成的。反派和剩余的设计由Erick Fernandez完成。艺术品概念由Andres完成，小册子由Mario设计。

Our first logo was current from 2006 to 2018. When Mario (Bass) joins the band, he refreshed the logo and helped to exponentially upgrade the band’s image, which has a better impact than the previous one. Regarding the album artwork, the main design was done by Juan Bulla, a great designer. The antagonists and the remaining of the design was done by Erick Fernandez. The artwork concept was done by Andres and the booklet was designed by Mario.

V: 反强化、仇恨、暴力是你的音乐主题。你为什么选择这个音乐主题？你想通过这个音乐主题表达什么？你也创作了歌词。谁创作了这些歌词，是什么启发了他？

Anti reinforcement, Hatred, Violence are your music themes. Why did you choose this music theme? What do you want to express through this music theme? You also created lyrics. Who created these lyrics and what inspired them?

G: 这张专辑的所有歌词都是由我们之前的歌手Gerard创作的。他表达了入侵人类和整个宇宙的恶性力量的来源，表达了整个宇宙的混乱。它的影响来自诺斯替主义和深奥的艺术。

All lyrics on this album were done by our previous vocalist, Gerard. He expresses sources of malignant forces that invade humanity and the whole universe, the expression of chaos as a whole. It’s influences come from gnosticism and esoteric arts.

V: 你的乐队是如何联系Coyote Records进行你们的第一张正式专辑合作的？你对这个厂牌的工作满意吗？

How did your band reach out to Coyote Records for their first official album collaboration? Are you satisfied with the job at this brand?

G: 唱片公司听到了2013年录制的一首名为“Total Impure Faith”的单曲，该单曲发表在youtube和哥伦比亚乐队汇编中。不久之后，该唱片公司通过脸书联系了我们并提出以该唱片公司的名义录制一张专辑。就曝光率而言，这是一个很好的决定，在欧洲和亚洲展示我们的音乐，但唱片公司未能履行与乐队的部分义务。这是一种苦乐参半的味道。

The record labebl heard a single named “Total Impure Faith” recorded in 2013, published in youtube and in a compilation of Colombian bands. Right after, the label contacted us via Facebook and made an offer to record an album under the label. It was a good decision in terms of exposure, showing our music in Europe and Asia, however the label failed to fulfill a partial obligation with the band. It’s a bittersweet taste.

V: 你2018年的专辑给我留下了深刻的印象，复杂的编曲、丰富的即兴重复段、歌手深沉有力的嗓音、精准的鼓手和稳定的打击。你对自己的工作有什么看法？

Your 2018 album left a deep impression on me, with complex arrangements, varied riffs, deep and powerful vocals by the singer, precise drummers, and stable strikes. What is your opinion on your own work?

G: 我们非常满意。最后我们实现了作为音乐家创作这张专辑所需要的东西。“Revelation of Exodus”帮助我们作为一个乐队将自己定位为该国最知名的乐队之一。

We were very satisfied. Finally, we achieved what we needed as musicians to create this album. “Revelation of Exodus” helped us as a band to position ourselves as one of the most recognized bands in the country.

V: 作为一个老乐队，你参加过许多音乐节。哪些音乐节给你留下了深刻的印象？你能介绍一下当时的现场气氛吗？2025年你打算参加哪些音乐节？

As an old band, you have participated in many music festivals. Which music festivals have left a deep impression on you? Can you introduce the live atmosphere at that time? Which music festivals are you planning to participate in in in 2025?

G: 我们参加了国内所有重要的节日和一些国际舞台。其中一些最好的是：

-Armenia Grind Humanity

在舞台上表演，无论是面向大众还是观众，都是我们所经历过的最令人满意的事情之一。感觉观众与我们的音乐之间的联系非常令人满意。多年来，我们将继续为每个人带来不纯的信仰。

We have participated in all important festivals in the country and some international stages. Some of the best have been:

Playing on stage whether is for a big or crowd is one of the most satisfactory this we’ve ever lived. Feeling that connection the audience has with our music is very satisfying. We will keep bringing Impure Faith to everyone for many years.

V: 2025年你的乐队你们还有那些新的工作要进行，比如创作和录制新专辑？你能和大家分享一些信息吗？

What new tasks will your band undertake in 2025, such as creating and recording a new album? Can you share some information with everyone?

G: 我们为我们作为一个乐队所取得的成就感到非常自豪，尤其是在目前拥有大量经验的优秀音乐家阵容的情况下。我们将我们的游戏提升到了一个新的水平，为所有哥伦比亚残酷的场景做了一些非常重要的事情，我们与全球最好的唱片公司之一New Standard Elite（NSE）签订了一份合同，这使我们成为哥伦比亚第二个与这个巨大的唱片公司签约的乐队。第一个是Internal Suffering，我们为此感到非常自豪。2024年9月17日，我们发布了一首名为“Infected By Evil manifestations”的单曲。我们几乎完成了全长，这张新专辑将包含8首会让你大吃一惊的残酷歌曲。这部作品将再次由Cesar Vera负责，并向负责鼓唱片的Mauricio Gallon致敬。

We are very proud of what we’ve achieved as a band, especially with this current lineup of excellent musicians with tons of experience. We took our game to the next level by doing something very significant to all Colombian brutal scene, we signed a contract with one of the best labels worldwide New Standard Elite (NSE), which make us the second band from Colombia to ever sign with this huge label. The first one was Internal Suffering, we are very proud of that. We released a single named “Infected By Evil manifestations” on September 17th, 2024. We’re almost done with the full length, this new album will contain 8 brutal songs that will blow your mind. The production will be in charge of Cesar Vera once again and a big shout out to Mauricio Gallon who was in charge of drum recordings.

You are an excellent band, and I am your loyal fan. I will always support and follow your band. I also hope to attract more fans to pay attention to and support your band through this interview. G: 我们只想感谢你们和所有在我们整个发展过程中陪伴我们的生病的支持者，我们真的很感激你们所有人。生病！
