今天要为大家介绍的是一支来自意大利的老牌乐队Nerocapra，可能很多歌迷朋友对这支乐队并不是很熟悉，Nerocapra成立于2003年是一支组建21年的老牌乐队，组建之后乐队并没有马上发行作品，而是在2009年才选择发行第一张Demo作品，让他们得到更多关注的是他们2011年在意大利本土厂牌F.O.A.D. Records发行的第一张正式专辑“Vox Inferi”，Nerocapra乐队演奏的是Old School Death Metal的风格，但是他们类似于Melodic Death Metal风格的旋律，令人难以忘记的Solo富有攻击性，会让你想起Malevolent Creation、Benediction和Carnage等乐队，2014和2018年乐队发行了两张专辑，2018年之后乐队再无任何新作品发行，2023乐队在意大利WarHell Records厂牌发行了最新专辑“La serpe in seno”，前不久乐队的吉他手Mirco与我取得联系进行了一次采访。

Today we would like to introduce you to a veteran band from Italy, Nerocapra, many fans may not be very familiar with this band, Nerocapra was founded in 2003 is a 21 year old band, after the formation of the band did not immediately release their works, but in 2009 only chose to release the first demo works, so they get more attention is their first official album "Vox Inferi" released in 2011 on the local Italian label F.O.A.D. Records. Nerocapra's first official album "Vox Inferi" was released in 2011 on Italian label F.O.A.D. Records, Nerocapra plays Old School Death Metal, but with a melodic Death Metal sound. Melodic Death Metal with melodic, unforgettable and aggressive solos that reminds you of bands like Malevolent Creation, Benediction and Carnage, the band released two albums in 2014 and 2018, and after 2018 the band didn't release any new material, and in 2023 they released their first official album "Vox Inferi" on WarHell Records in Italy. The band released their latest album "La serpe in seno" on the Italian label WarHell Records and I was contacted by guitarist Mirco for an interview.

Hi Mirco it's nice to meet you and thank you for participating in this interview, I think this is the first time you've been interviewed by a Chinese magazine, first of all say hello to your fans in China, Nerocapra was formed in 2003, it's a band with a long history, how did you come up with the idea of forming this band in the first place?

Hello to all lovers of extreme metal. First of all, thanks to Volcano Magazine for giving us the opportunity to have this chat so many kilometers away... I am Mirco Rizzi, one of the founding members of the Italian band Nerocapra. The idea of the Nerocapra project was born in the year 2003, when Daniele Brusaschetto and I, already collaborators in other musical projects, decided to give voice to our desires to play fast, rotten metal music with dark themes, typical of bands born between the 80s/90s ... to play as we like to call it "primitive metal". The project is consolidated some time later, meeting a longtime friend, drummer Gianma. So we began to compose the first tracks, some of which were recorded first on the "Demo 2009" and later on "Vox inferi" (2011) first album of the band, with on drums Beppe Mondini current drummer of Ottone Pesante... At the time me and Daniele were in charge of the vocal and guitar parts.

I know you've just replaced the singer with a new one, so other than the singer are all the other members first generation members? How did the new singer join the band? Are you happy with his work?

M: 2023年发行的"La serpe in seno"是由我（主唱和吉他手）和鼓手 Roberto Ripollino（Omicidio、Nihili Locus、Dum Spiro）录制的。Massimo Tosco(前Soulless乐队, Chrysalis乐队）是我们的新主唱，也是我们的老朋友，最近加入了乐队。到目前为止乐队的培训工作已经完成并加入了一名贝斯手，这样我们就可以举办新的音乐会了，因为人们对再次举办 Nerocapra现场音乐会很感兴趣。事实上我仍然是这个项目的唯一原始成员。

"La serpe in seno" released in 2023 was recorded by me (vocals and guitars) and the drummer Roberto Ripollino (Omicidio, Nihili Locus, Dum Spiro). Massimo Tosco (ex Soulless, Chrysalis) our new singer and old friend, has recently joined the band. To date, the training is in the process of being completed with the inclusion of a bassist so that we can face new concerts since there is interest in bringing Nerocapra live again. In fact, I remained the only original member of the project.

How does your band usually write songs, can you describe the process? You guys released a new album last year how did the writing process for the new album go?

Usually, I take care of the composition of most of the guitar lines giving space and attention to my own and the tastes of the other members of the band, I record guitar riffs and vocal lines so as to propose them to the others, then, together, they try and materialize in the final work. The texts are born from a sentence, from a book I have just read, from a news in the newspapers, from something that strikes me and that I consider to be part of the Nerocapra dimension. The last album was written and thought during the long period of Covid 19...

V: 你们的每张专辑在录音方面都非常出色，你们都是在哪个录音棚录制专辑的？哪位工程师制作了你们的专辑？新专辑的录制过程顺利吗？

Each of your albums have been very good in terms of recording, what studio did you all record your albums at? Which engineer produced your albums? Did the recording process for the new album go well?

M: 所有Nerocapra作品（除了"Demo 2009"）都是由我和其他成员在Hellbox工作室录制、混音和母带制作的。Hellbox的诞生源于我们的热情，我们希望减少在外部录音室的费用并对最终产品拥有更多的控制权和自由度。我们一起享受快乐，在完全自由的环境中创作......

All Nerocapra productions (except the "Demo 2009") were recorded, mixed and mastered by me and the other members of the moment at Hellbox Studio. Hellbox was born out of passion, to limit the expenses to be faced in external recording studios and to have more control and freedom over the final product. We have fun together and create in total freedom...

V: 你们乐队的Logo非常简单，但这种设计形式是我最喜欢的形式之一，因为我很容易就能记住你们乐队的名字，这个Logo是谁为你们设计的？你们的专辑封面设计也很抽象，这些专辑封面设计有什么含义吗？是谁为你们设计的？

Your band's logo is very simple, but this form of design is one of my favourite forms because I can easily remember your band's name, who designed this logo for you? Your album artwork design can also be very abstract, do you have any meanings for these album artworks? Who designed this artwork for you guys?

M: Logo是我设计的，所有封面（除了由Beppe Mondini设计了"Vox inferi"）都是我构思和处理的......在上一张专辑中，我重新设计了一幅我挂在家门口的版画......如果可以这么说的话，Nerocapra的一切都非常"家常"......非常个人化和亲切。

The logo was designed by me and all the covers (except "Vox inferi" designed by Beppe Mondini) were conceived and manipulated by me ... for the last album I reworked a print that I hung in the entrance of my house ... everything about Nerocapra is very "homely" if you can say so ... very personal and intimate.

V: 你们在2018年发布了"Decomposizione”之后，直到2023年才发布新作品，5年没有发布新作品的原因是什么？

After you released "Decomposizione" in 2018, you didn't release anything new until 2023, what was the reason for not releasing anything new for 5 years?

M: "Decomposition"之后的停顿主要有两个原因：首先是与当时的吉他手缺乏合理的配合，其次是大流行病带来的种种限制。这些因素限制了我们的现场演出，也取消了欧洲巡演，而欧洲巡演本可以满足乐队演奏和创作自己音乐的愿望......当然，这其中也要考虑到所有正常的生活问题，这些问题不可避免地会影响到项目（家庭、工作、家庭等......）

The pause after "Decomposition" was mainly due to 2 factors: The first was the lack of a fair synergy with the guitarist of the time and the second was the pandemic with all its restrictions. These factors have limited us in the live appearances and in the cancellation of a European tour that would have given charge to the band's desire to play and propose their own music... of course in all this are also to be taken into account all the normal life issues that inevitably affect the project (family, work, home etc...)

V: 你在WarHell Records、Justified Violence Records和F.O.A.D. Records 发行过专辑，老实说我只熟悉F.O.A.D. Record这一个厂牌，对其他厂牌不太熟悉，能跟我说说这两个厂牌吗？你是如何接触到这两家唱片公司的，又是如何与他们合作的？你对他们的工作满意吗？

You've released albums with WarHell Records, Justified Violence Records, and F.O.A.D. Records, and to be honest I'm only familiar with one label, F.O.A.D. Records, and I'm not really familiar with the others, so can you tell me a little bit about those two labels? How did you get in touch with these labels and how have you worked with them? Are you satisfied with their work?

The Justified Violence was a label that showed interest in our music but had problems shortly after the print of the record and never made itself heard again... Warhell records, on the other hand, is a label/distribution that sinks into Italian extreme metal. Fabio Lipera, its creator and founding member of Sinoath (Italian band with several productions behind it) is an enthusiast like us and we continue to collaborate at a distance with passion and mutual respect. The same thing goes for the Wine and Fog productions / distro of our friend Ezio Carello .. people who put in the foreground the dedication to the musical genre and to the promotion of Italian bands.

First of all I would like to wish you all the best for the release of your newest album "La serpe in seno" in 2023, your fourth official album, you are a very classic old school death metal band, you are a very melodic band, and you even have some melodic death metal elements that remind me of bands like Malevolent Creation, Benediction and Carnage, even with some hardcore elements. You're a very melodic band, you even feel some melodic death metal elements in your music, it reminds me of bands like Malevolent Creation, Benediction and Carnage, and you even add some hardcore and punk elements, you're not very fast as a whole, you keep it at a medium speed, but there are some songs that are very fast, and you're not very fast, you're very fast. There are also some great solos in the mix, giving you guys a very high listening experience, what do you think of your work? Has the new album changed from the old one?

With the latest album we have consolidated our musical direction. Each of us also plays in other projects that musically address the extreme musical from different points of view, these differences of ours mean that the music of Nerocapra has different nuances and personalities that over the years have been recognized and appreciated to us.

V: 你们参加过很多音乐节，哪些音乐节给你们留下了深刻印象？你可以介绍一下当时的现场气氛吗？

You guys have been to a lot of festivals, what festivals have left a lasting impression on you and can you describe the atmosphere?

Actually our live appearances weren't many, but every time we played live we left a mark.

V: 你们乐队在2024年有什么新计划？比如创作、录制一些新材料或者参加一些音乐节，能透露一些信息吗？

What's new for your band to work on in 2024? Like writing, recording some new material or playing some festivals, can you reveal some information?

M: 对于2024年，我们首先希望通过完善乐队阵容来恢复现场演出。就在昨天，我和Massimo Currò（Massimo Currò，Nihili Locus 的贝斯手）（可能是Nerocapra的新成员）在Hellbox进行了排练......考虑到有可能在意大利本土举办几场演出，公众对我们的呼声很高。“La serpe in seno”的限量版录音带即将发行，我们正在制作新的商品。

For 2024 we have in the first place the desire to return to playing live by completing the line up. Just yesterday I was at the Hellbox to rehearse with Massimo Currò (bass player of Nihili Locus) probably a new member of Nerocapra... in view there is the possibility of making several dates on Italian soil, the public is calling us out loudly. It is about to go to print "La serpe in seno" on a limited edition cassette for the Wine and Fog and we are working on the new merchandise, in short, there is a lot of meat in the fire...
