异教徒 - 波兰Black / Death Metal乐队Shine专访

今天采访到的是来自波兰的一支非常年轻的Black / Death Metal乐队Shine，组建于2024年的Shine由Marek Krajcer，Mateusz Waśkiewicz，Tomasz Dobrzeniecki，Paweł Duda，Wojciech Gąsiorowski五名非常优秀的音乐家组建，虽然Shine是一支很年轻的乐队，但是这五位音乐家是波兰非常优秀的音乐家，参加过很多的优秀乐队，发行过众多经典作品同事也参加过·很多的大型演出，无论再创作还是演出方面都是非常富有经验的音乐家，他们今年在Dark Descent Records厂牌发行的第一张正式专辑“Wrathcult”得到了众多歌迷的关注，也收获了很多乐评人的好评，可以说“Wrathcult”这张专辑是2026年十佳专辑的最有力竞争者，Shine的“Wrathcult”同时也将在波兰的优秀厂牌Selfmadegod Records再次发行，前不久杂志通过Selfmadegod Records厂牌的协助与乐队取得联系进行了一次专访！

Today we’re interviewing Shine, a very young Black/Death Metal band from Poland. Formed in 2024, Shine consists of five exceptional musicians: Marek Krajcer, Mateusz Waśkiewicz, Tomasz Dobrzeniecki, Paweł Duda, Wojciech Gąsiorowski. Although Shine is a very young band, these five musicians are among Poland’s finest—they have been members of many outstanding bands, released numerous classic works, and performed at numerous large-scale performances. They are highly experienced musicians in both composition and live performance. Their first full-length album, Wrathcult, released this year on Dark Descent Records, has garnered significant attention from fans and received widespread acclaim from music critics. It’s safe to say that “Wrathcult” is a strong contender for the top ten albums of 2026. Shine’s “Wrathcult” will also be re-released by the renowned Polish label Selfmadegod Records. Recently, with the assistance of Selfmadegod Records, this magazine reached out to the band for an exclusive interview!

Hello brother, it's nice to meet you and I'm very grateful that you could participate in this interview. I think this is the first time your band has been interviewed by a Chinese magazine. First of all, I would like to say hello to all the Chinese fans. Shine was formed in 2024 and is a very young band. How did you form this band in the first place?

S: 你好，很高兴见到你，我也想向所有中国粉丝问好。我真的很高兴我们的音乐能传到中国，也很乐意回答大家的问题。是的，这是我第一次接受中国杂志的采访。Shine确实是一支非常新的乐队，但成员都是经验丰富的音乐人，他们的音乐根基可以追溯到1990年代。我是Shine的创始人兼主创。

乐队成立背后的故事有些复杂。疫情彻底颠覆了许多人的生活，我也深受其影响。我将那段时期所感受到的情绪——有时非常强烈——倾注于乐器之中，并创作了音乐。当时我并没有想过要组建乐队，脑海中想着其他事情，但正是音乐给了我力量，让我熬过了那段时光。我曾把自己的录音给几个人听过，他们非常喜欢，并敦促我将其制作成一张专辑。我反复思量，自己是否已经准备好重返乐坛、再次登上舞台。我最终决定要这么做，因为我内心积蓄了足够的情感与创作能量，足以将我的心声传递给听众。我找来了几位乐手，接下来的步骤就是将我的创意拼凑成一个连贯的整体，就这样Shine以及专辑"Wrathcult"便诞生了。

Hello, it’s a pleasure to meet you, and I’d also like to say hello to all our Chinese fans. I’m really delighted that our music has reached China, and I’m happy to answer your questions. Yes, this is the first interview I’ve given to a Chinese magazine. It’s true that Shine is a very new band, but it’s made up of experienced musicians whose musical roots go back to the 1990s. I’m the founder and creator of Shine.

The story behind the band’s formation is a bit complicated. The pandemic turned many people’s lives upside down, and I was affected by it too. I channelled the emotions I felt during that period – which were at times very intense – into my instrument and composed music. I wasn’t thinking about starting a band back then, I had other things on my mind, but music was what gave me the strength to get through that time. I once played my recordings to a few people, they really liked them and urged me to turn them into an album. I thought long and hard about whether I was ready to get back into playing and take to the stage again. I decided I wanted to do it, that I had enough emotion and creative energy within me to share my message with people. I found some musicians, the next step was to piece my ideas together into a coherent whole, and that’s how Shine and the album Wrathcult came about.

V: 你们都是乐队的第一代成员，因此你们彼此非常了解，也清楚对方需要创作什么样的歌曲，这会让你们在创作歌曲时更加得心应手。能否介绍一下你们的创作过程？

You're both from the first generation of the band, so you know each other very well and understand what kind of songs the other needs to write, which makes the songwriting process much easier for you. Could you describe your songwriting process?

S: 创作过程不仅仅关乎声音本身。音乐可以比作一本书，整体上有着某种氛围，但每一章都会带来新的、不同的情感。我已经准备好了大部分音效，我们致力于确保专辑在歌词和音乐方面形成一个连贯的故事，从而在营造整体氛围时保持一致。我们希望尽可能好地传达我们内心的情感，让你们在聆听我们的音乐时也能感受到这些情感。

The creative process isn’t just about the sounds themselves. Music can be compared to a book which has a certain atmosphere as a whole, but where each chapter brings something new, different emotions. I already had most of the sounds ready, we worked on ensuring that the album formed a coherent narrative in terms of both lyrics and music, so that it would be consistent in building the overall atmosphere. We wanted to convey the emotions we felt inside as best we could, so that you could feel them when listening to our music.

I've already listened to your single online. The recording quality is excellent; every detail is clearly audible. Which studio recorded your album? Who produced it? This year you released your first official album. Did the recording process go smoothly?

S: 我们是在Heinrich House Studio录制这张专辑的，制作人是Filip Hałucha。他因与Behemoth、Hate和Decapitated的合作而闻名。Behemoth乐队的Orion会在这间录音室录制贝斯部分，Dimmu Borgir乐队的Daray也会在那里录制鼓轨，这确实是专为金属音乐录制而设的非常专业的场所。当你决定在这样的录音室录制时，必须做好充分准备，并对想要制作什么样的专辑以及它应该呈现怎样的音效有清晰的构想。这同样适用于录音的技术和演奏细节方面，我们对这些内容都准备得一丝不苟。我对这次录音非常满意，我们达到了预期的效果。

We recorded the album Heinrich House Studio, with Filip Hałucha as producer. He is known for his work with Behemoth, Hate and Decapitated. Orion from Behemoth records his bass parts at this studio, and Daray from Dimmu Borgir records his drums there, it’s a very professional venue for recording metal. When you decide to record at a studio like this, you have to be very well prepared and have a clear idea of what sort of album you want to make and how it should sound. The same applies to the technical and articulatory aspects of recording the music, we had this material down to a tee. I’m very pleased with this session, we achieved the desired result.

Paganism, Anti-Christianity, and Nature are the themes of your music. Why did you choose these themes? What do you want to express through these themes? You also wrote the lyrics. Who wrote these lyrics, and what inspired them?

S: 我们的专辑所涵盖的主题只是浩瀚知识体系中的一小部分，足以写成好几本书。我试着简要地解释一下。我们生活在欧洲，汲取着我们文化、信仰和祖先知识的精髓。这是我们与生俱来的遗产，却被教会强行压制。多年来，我对斯拉夫传统以及神秘学、魔法、玄学和宇宙学都抱有浓厚的兴趣。我的知识来源于各种哲学体系；年轻时，我曾深深地被阿莱斯特·克劳利的哲学所吸引。或许你会感到惊讶：我对上座部佛教、大乘佛教和金刚乘佛教的教义并不陌生。值得注意的是，斯拉夫人和古代印度居民（雅利安人）拥有共同的祖先，他们在数千年前都说着同一种原始印欧语。古代中国信仰体系的主要教义也源自印度。所有文化之间的差异仅仅在于表象。万物本源皆源于同一源头。善恶是现代宗教的建构，旨在攫取权力，以恐惧统治世人。我们真正的本性是黑暗。黑暗并非源于光明，而是光明源于黑暗。神秘学家称之为黑日，并将其归于土星，认为土星才是真正的太阳。它也被称为以太，暗能量，这种能量拥有其独特的黑色光芒。“Shine”（闪耀）这个名字并非偶然。如果我们仔细研究神话——北欧、斯拉夫和日耳曼的宇宙观——它们讲述的都是同一个故事，指向相同的宇宙法则。这就是我们想要传达的信息。

The topics covered on our album represent just a small part of such a vast body of knowledge that several books could be written about them. I shall try to explain this briefly. We live in Europe and draw upon what was the original essence of our culture, beliefs and the knowledge of our ancestors. This is our natural heritage, which was forcibly dominated by the Church. For many years I have been interested in our Slavic tradition, but also in esotericism, magic, the occult and cosmology. I acquire my knowledge from various philosophical systems; in my youth I was deeply fascinated by the philosophy of Aleister Crowley. I’ll surprise you here: I’m no stranger to the teachings of Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana. It is interesting to note that the Slavs, like the ancient inhabitants of India (the Aryans), share common ancestors who, thousands of years ago, spoke a single Proto-Indo-European language. The main teachings of the ancient Chinese belief system also originate from India. All cultures differ from one another only in appearance. In their original nature, everything stems from a single source. Good and evil are constructs of modern religions, designed to seize power over people and rule through fear. Our true nature is darkness. Darkness does not arise from light, rather light arises from darkness. Occultists called it the black sun, which was attributed to Saturn as the true sun. It was referred to as ether, dark energy, this energy had its own black radiance. The name ‘Shine’ is no coincidence. If we look closely at mythology – Norse, Slavic and Germanic cosmologies – they all tell the same story and refer to the same universal principles. This is our message.

The lyrics were written by Łukasz Raniewicz, Marek J. Krajcer, Mariusz Void Łuniewski, inspired by ancient texts found in books on the ancient beliefs, rituals and demonology of our ancestors.

Your new album this year was released on two labels: Dark Descent Records in the United States and Selfmadegod Records in Poland. How did you work with these two labels? Are you satisfied with their work? What promotional activities did these two labels do for your new album?

We’re very pleased with our collaboration with Dark Descent; they’ve done a really good job promoting us, and the albums are available practically everywhere. ClawHammer PR is supporting us with media coverage. The very fact that the album was featured in Decibel Magazine is a huge honour for us. Selfmadegod is the official distributor of our album in Poland. As far as I know, both the CD and LP are sold out, and a new print run is now available. Building on this momentum, thanks to Selfmadegod we’ve just released a cassette – it’s a brand-new release and we’re only just starting to promote it together.

Your logo is beautifully designed. Who designed it for you? Your album art is also beautifully designed. Who designed it for you? What inspired the design of this artwork?

S: 这个标志是由我们来自Cursed Art的朋友Michał (Perversor) Kaczkowski设计的，他是一位非常有才华的平面设计师，这个标志与我们的音乐完美契合。封面的概念和设计则是我自己的作品。我的灵感来源于Bathory乐队的专辑"Blood Fire Death"。年轻时，每当聆听这张专辑，我都会将封面举在眼前，在脑海中将自己带入那个场景。这张专辑给我留下了极其深刻的印象，这是我向它致敬的个人作品。

The logo was designed by our friend Michał (Perversor) Kaczkowski from Cursed Art, a very talented graphic designer, it suits our music perfectly. The concept and design of the cover are my own work. I was inspired by Bathory’s album Blood Fire Death. When I was younger, whilst listening to that album, I’d hold the cover in front of me and, in my mind’s eye, transport myself to that place. That album made a huge impression on me, this is my personal tribute to it.

First of all, congratulations on the release of your band's first official album. This album is a dark, fierce, and brutal one. You were deeply influenced by old school music. The wonderful riffs give people a fierce feeling, and your band's atmosphere is very well done. The singer's fierce singing really adds a lot of passion to the whole album. The drummer's precise and fast percussion is also very outstanding. What are your thoughts on this album?

S: 在我看来，考虑到这是我们的首张专辑，我们已经实现了预期的目标。我们正在作为音乐人相互了解，也在学习如何将内心的感受转化为音乐。录制专辑后，一旦完成，总会感觉缺了点什么——总有些地方可以调整，让结果变得更好。这正是后续专辑存在的意义——从上一张专辑中吸取经验，将音乐提升到新的高度。

In my opinion, given that this is our debut, we’ve achieved our intended goal. We’re getting to know each other as musicians, and we’re learning how to translate what’s inside us into music. It’s always the case that after recording an album, once it’s finished, you’re left feeling that something’s missing – there’s always something you could change to make the result even better. That’s exactly what subsequent albums are for – to learn from the previous one and take things to the next level.

V: 作为乐队，你们迄今为止参加过任何演出吗？今年收到过演出邀请吗？

Have you, as a band, performed at any shows so far? Have you received any performance invitations this year?

S: 是的，我们曾在一场并非严格意义上与极端金属相关的重大音乐节上演出。我们需要在配备专业音响系统的大舞台上检验自己的能力和技巧。那场演出非常成功，我认为我们已经准备好将我们的音乐带给更广泛的观众了。我们正在与演出经纪公司进行洽谈。2026年的大型演出早在2025年就已经预订一空，所以目前我们正努力为2027年争取尽可能多的演出机会。

Yes, we played at a major festival that wasn’t strictly related to extreme metal. We needed to test our capabilities and skills on a big stage, with a professional sound system. The gig went very well and I think we’re ready to take our music to a wider audience. We’re in talks with concert agencies. The bigger gigs in 2026 were already booked back in 2025, so at the moment we’re trying to book as many gigs as possible for 2027.

V: 你能谈谈波兰当前的金属乐坛吗？我知道你们国家有很多优秀的乐队。你对波兰金属乐坛有什么看法？

Could you talk about the current metal scene in Poland? I know your country has many excellent bands. What are your thoughts on the Polish metal scene?

S: 确实如此，我们有像Behemoth和Vader这样的乐队，它们都是享誉全球的明星。许多波兰音乐人都在知名乐队中演奏，例如Dimmu Borgir。我们还拥有一个非常强大且充满活力的地下音乐圈；Mgła正是从这个圈子中脱颖而出，不仅在氛围黑金属领域开创了新潮流，同时也成为了全球明星。一大批非常优秀的乐队正在涌现。唱片公司和演出经纪机构也是如此。我们还有好几个规模宏大、世界级的音乐节。波兰的音乐圈蓬勃发展，日益壮大。

It’s true, we have bands like Behemoth and Vader, who are global stars. Many Polish musicians play in well-known bands, such as Dimmu Borgir. We also have a very strong and vibrant underground scene; it was from this scene that Mgła emerged, setting new trends in atmospheric black metal whilst also becoming a global star. A whole host of really good bands are emerging. The same applies to record labels and concert agencies. We also have several really large, world-class music festivals. The Polish scene is thriving and going from strength to strength.

Although you are a young band, every member of the band is an experienced musician. You have participated in many excellent bands and released many classic works. I will continue to follow and support your band. I also hope that through this interview, more Chinese fans will pay attention to and support your band. The interview is about to end.
