最后一战 - 墨西哥Grindcore乐队Anarchus专访

说到Grindcore这种风格，那么就一定要说到墨西哥这个国家，在墨西哥孕育了大量优秀的Grindcore乐队，在此之前我也采访过很多来自墨西哥的Grindcore乐队，今天我再次为大家采访一支来自墨西哥的Grindcore乐队Anarchus，1986年乐队成立于墨西哥城，由鼓手Adolfo组建，1988年发行了他们的第一张Demo作品“Total Hate”，真正让所有人关注他们是在1990年发行的EP专辑“Final Fall of the Gods”，这是一张原始，粗糙的Old School Grindcore作品，虽然这张专辑在制作上比较粗糙，虽然当时设备的限制，但是却成就了这张经典专辑，这张作品最大的优点就是清晰的贝斯和扭曲的吉他音色，虽然听起来有一些污浊，但是对于Grindcore这种风格来说，这种音色是非常完美的，鼓手虽然在一些节奏上有一些不准，但是在速度是却是非常快，歌手的演唱在当时来说也是非常的极端，随后乐队发行了大量的作品，直到2016年乐队才发行了第一张正式专辑“Age of Consent”，2023年乐队发行了最新的EP专辑“The Last Stand”在新专辑发行之际我也联系到了乐队成员进行了有一次采访！

When it comes to grindcore, it's important to talk about the country of Mexico, which has spawned a lot of great grindcore bands, and I've interviewed a lot of grindcore bands from Mexico before, and today I'm interviewing a Mexican grindcore band Anarchus again, formed in Mexico City in 1986 by Adolfo on drums. Formed in Mexico City in 1986 by drummer Adolfo, the band released their first demo "Total Hate" in 1988, and really got everyone's attention with their 1990 EP "Final Fall of the Gods". Gods", a raw, gritty piece of Old School Grindcore, although the album was a bit rough in terms of production, and despite the limitations of the equipment at the time, it was a classic album, and the best thing about it was the clear bass and distorted guitar tones, which, although they sounded a bit dirty, were a great addition to the Grindcore genre. Grindcore was perfect for the genre, the drums were a bit off in some of the rhythms, but the tempo was very fast, and the vocals were extreme for the time, and the band went on to release a lot of material until 2016, when the band released their first official album "Age of Consent". It wasn't until 2016 that the band released their first official album "Age of Consent", and in 2023 the band released their latest EP "The Last Stand", on the occasion of the release of the new album I got in touch with the members of the band for an interview!

V: 你好兄弟很高兴见到你，非常感谢你参加这次采访，我想这是你们乐队第一次接受中国杂志的采访，首先向你们中国的歌迷问好，Anarchu乐队成立于1986年，是一支历史悠久的乐队，当初是谁提议成立这支乐队的，我想这是一个遥远的故事，你还记得当时的情景吗？Anarchus这个名字对你有什么意义吗？

Hello brother nice to meet you and thank you very much for participating in this interview, I think this is the first time that your band has been interviewed by a Chinese magazine, first of all say hello to your fans in China, Anarchus was formed in 1986, it's a band with a long history, who proposed to form this band in the first place, I think it's a distant story, do you still remember what it was like at that time? Does the name Anarchus mean anything to you?

P: 很高兴见到你！是的，这是第一次，我们非常高兴。向中国的朋友们问好！1987年，我们最初的鼓手Adolfo提出了这个名字，我们一拍即合。是的，这意味着很多东西。是关于反叛、无政府主义、质疑一切。坚持自己的信念。

Nice to meet you too! Yes, is the first time and we are very happy about it. Hello to all our friends in China! Our original drummer, Adolfo, propose it and we agree at once in 1987. And yes, it means a lot of things. Is about rebellion, anarchy, question everything. To stand for what one believes.

V: 你们的乐队现在还保持着最初的阵容，虽然只有Pancho是第一代成员，其他成员都是在90年代加入乐队的，最早的成员为什么会退出乐队？

Your band now maintains its original line-up, although you only have Pancho as a first generation member, the rest of the members joined the band in the 90's, why did the earliest members quit the band?

P: 他们退出的原因各不相同，但我和Adolfo（鼓手）还有联系。我们是非常好的朋友。关于Mike（吉他手）很遗憾我们很久以前就失去了联系。正如您所说，我是自1986年以来乐队中唯一的原成员。

They did for different reasons, but i'm still in touch with Adolfo (drummer). We are very good friends. About Mike (guitar player) sadly we lost contact a long time ago. As you say, i'm the only original member in the band since 1986.

V: 你们彼此非常了解而且一起做音乐已经有很长一段时间了，这让你们在做音乐的时候非常容易，因为你们很清楚自己想要做什么样的音乐，能跟我们说说你们的创作过程吗？

You know each other very well and you've been making music together for a long time, which makes it very easy when you're making music because you know exactly what kind of music you want to make, can you tell us a little bit about your creative process?

P: 当然！我写歌词（我有很多歌词）当我们决定开始制作新作品时，Thrasher（吉他手）通常已经有了一些想法，然后我们和Abue（鼓手）一起开始工作，为这个项目集结所有歌曲。这非常容易，因为正如你所说，我们已经在一起演奏了很长时间，所以一切都很顺利。

Sure! I write the lyrics (i have a lot) and when we decide to start to work in a new production Thrasher (guitar player) usually already has some ideas and we work together with Abue (drummer) we start to work assembling all the songs for the project. Is very easy, because as you say we've been playing together for a long time so things work very well.

V: 你们的每张专辑在录音方面都有进步，这当然与时代的变化有很大关系，如今的社会与你们刚成立时相比发生了很大变化，因此在录音效果方面也会有很大变化，从早期的粗糙录音到现在我喜欢的非常精致的录音，你们是在哪个录音室录制专辑的？哪位制作人制作了你们的专辑？

Each of your albums has progressed in terms of recording, which of course has a lot to do with the changing times, today's society has changed a lot from when you first formed, so in terms of the recording results, there will also be a big change, from your early rough recordings to the very polished recordings I love now, which studio did you record the albums in? Which producer produced your album?

P: 我们与很多不同的录音室和工程师合作过。因为我们是DIY乐队，我们是独立的，所以我们会与我们认为最好的录音室合作。但我们的第一张EP专辑“Final Fall Of The Gods”是在墨西哥录制的并在坦帕的Morrisound Recording工作室混音。工程师是Scott Burns。

We've been working with a lot different studios and engineer. Since we are DIY band we are independents an we work with the one which we consider the best. But our first EP (Final Fall Of The Gods) was record it in Mexico and mixed the Morrisound Recording studios in Tampa. The engineer was Scott Burns.

V: 你们的音乐以政治、战争等为主题，为什么会选择这样一个主题？您想通过这些主题表达什么？你们有歌词部分吗？谁来写歌词？

The theme of your music is about politics, war and so on, why did you choose such a theme for your music? What do you want to express through these themes? Do you have a lyrics section, who writes the lyrics and what inspires them?

P: 我们想表达所有我们不喜欢的东西，我们认为错误的东西。我们有歌词部分。我写歌词，我是歌手Pancho。我们的灵感来自很多方面：书籍、政治、宗教等等。

We want to express about all the things we don't like, things that we consider that are wrong. We have the lyrics section. I write the lyricsi'm Pancho, the vocal). And inspires a lot of things: books, politics, religion among other things.

V: 你们的Logo和专辑封面设计得非常有创意，是谁为你们设计的封面？你们专辑的封面设计说明了什么？

Your logo and album artwork are very creatively designed, who created the artwork for you? What does your album artwork say?

P: 最初的Logo是Adolfo夫设计的，后来荷兰的一位朋友Wim Baellus帮助我们把Logo做得更好。所有作品都与我们正在制作的专辑的概念和歌词有关。

The original logo was created by Adolfo and later a friend from Holland (Wim Baellus) help ue to make it much more better.The artwork has been done by many different artists, friends or different paintings. All the artwork is related with the concept and lyrics from the album in which we are working.

V: 我在网上看到一个有趣的消息，说你们很早有两个阵容，一个是墨西哥队，一个是美国队。但最终又变成了一个阵容，是什么原因让你们解散了另一个阵容？

One interesting thing I read online is that you had two lineups very early on, one for Mexico and one for the U.S. Why did you have two lineups? But eventually it became one lineup again, what made you dissolve the other lineup?

P: 那只是在几年前，当时墨西哥阵容的其他成员没有签证或护照，无法到墨西哥以外的地方巡演。但基本上墨西哥的阵容是我们一直在正常工作的阵容，自从这些问题得到解决后，它实际上是唯一的阵容。

That was only for a couple of years in which the rest of the mexican line up didn't had visas or passport to go touring outside Mexico in moments in which we have a lot of invitations outside the country. But basically is the mexican line up the one with which we've been working normally and since those problems are resolved is the only one actually.

V: 你们与许多唱片公司合作发行过专辑，但与你们合作过的大多数唱片公司我都没听说过，你们是如何与这些唱片公司取得联系并进行合作的？你对这些厂牌的工作满意吗？你最喜欢与哪个厂牌合作？

You've released albums with a lot of labels, most of the labels you've worked with I've never heard of, how did you get in touch with these labels to collaborate? Are you happy with the work of these labels? What's your favourite label to work with?

P: 很多厂牌都是朋友介绍的，他们对乐队很感兴趣，所以我们就和他们合作了，但正如你所说，很多厂牌并不出名，也有很多已经消失了。是的，我们通常很喜欢与他们合作的结果。我们最喜欢的是墨西哥城的龙舌兰工作室。

A lot of them are from friends which has show interest in the band so we work with them but as you say a lot of them are not well known and also a lot has dissapear. Yes, we usually like the result of such works with them. Our favourite i think was Tequila Studios in Mexico City.

V: 首先祝贺你们的最新EP“The Last Stand”于2023年发行，我从2003年你们的专辑“Vals of Hate”开始就一直关注你们的乐队，我一直是墨西哥Girndcore乐迷，你们是世界上最疯狂的乐队之一，你们受到Old School Grindcore 的影响，疯狂、快速、扭曲的吉他，疯狂的人声，快速、嘈杂的鼓声，这让我为你们的作品疯狂，你们身上有所有Old School Grindcore的影子，你对自己的作品有什么看法吗？新专辑与旧专辑相比有什么变化吗？

First of all, congratulations on the release of your latest EP "The Last Stand" in 2023, I've been following your band since your 2003 album "Vals of Hate" and I've always been a Mexican Girndcore fan. I've been a fan of Mexican Grindcore for a long time, you're one of the craziest bands in the world, you're influenced by Old School Grindcore, crazy, fast, distorted guitars, crazy vocals, fast, noisy drums, it makes me crazy about your work, you've got all the Old School Grindcore in you, you've got it all, you've got it all. Do you have any thoughts on your work? Has anything changed on the new album compared to the old one?

P: 我们非常享受第一天的演出、巡演和录音。我可以说这就是我们的生活。我们还有很多话要说。关于变化我认为这与乐队如今的乐器演奏方式有很大关系。我们已经改变了很多（就音乐而言）从一开始的完全业余到现在的实际阵容，我们已经比刚成立时更专业了。

We enjoy a lot playing as the firts day, touring and recording. I can tell that this what we live for. And also we have a lot of things to say. About the changes i think that has much more to do on the way the band plays it's instruments this day. We've change a lot (speaking about music) from our totally amateur begininig to our actual line up which are a little more prefessionals than back in the day when we start.

V: 我知道你们参加过很多音乐节，也有很多世界知名的乐队在同一个舞台上演出，有没有哪个音乐节给你们留下了深刻的印象，能描述一下当时的气氛吗？我看到你们还发行了很多DVD，这些都是什么现场录音？

I know you guys have been to a lot of festivals and a lot of world renowned bands have played on the same stage, did any of the festivals leave a deep impression on you and can you describe the atmosphere at the time? I see that you have also released a lot of DVDs, what are those live recordings?

P: 我想应该是2017年的Obscene Extreme Fest，从某种意义上来说，那真的是一次非常棒的经历，我们真的非常享受。我认为这些录音主要来自2004年的日本巡演，其余的我认为主要来自墨西哥，还有一些来自美国。

I believe that it was the Obscene Extreme Fest 2017. It was really a killer experience in very sense. We really enjoy it a lot. Those recordings i think must be mainly from our Japan Tour in 2004. And the rest i believe from Mexico mainly and some from USA.

V: 你们在2024年有哪些新的工作要做，比如创作、录制一些新材料，我知道你们将在2024年参加捷克的音乐节，除此之外你们还受邀参加过哪些音乐节？能向大家透露一些信息吗？

What kind of new work do you have coming up in 2024, like writing, recording some new material, and I know you're going to be playing Czech festivals in 2024, so other than that, what other festivals have you been invited to play? Can you reveal some information to everyone

P: 我们目前正在制作新的EP，其中会有更多新歌。是的今年7月我们还会在OEF演出。此外我们还会在捷克共和国演出，也许还会在德国演出几场。我们还会继续在墨西哥演出。明年我们计划重返哥伦比亚或许还会进行更广泛的欧洲巡演。

We are currently working in new E.P. with more new songs. And yes, we'll be playing at the OEF again this year on july. Also we'll do other dates at Chzech Republic and maybe a couple of dates in Germany. And also we're going to keep playing in Mexico. The next year we have plans to return to Colombia and maybe do a more extensive european tour.

V: 你们是一支经典的墨西哥乐队，你们创作了很多优秀的作品，我非常喜欢你们的乐队，我会一直支持和关注你们的乐队，也希望通过这次采访，能有更多的中国乐迷关注和支持你们的乐队，最后，你们有什么想对中国乐迷说的吗？

You are a classic Mexican band, you have produced a lot of great works, I like your band very much, I will always support and follow your band, and I hope that through this interview more Chinese fans will pay attention to and support your band, in the end, do you have anything you want to say to your Chinese fans?

P: 首先，感谢你们对乐队的支持和关注！我们非常感动。我们也要感谢所有中国朋友的支持！我们希望将来能有机会在你们美丽的祖国演出。兄弟们，干杯
