AMMO is a rock band from Bolzano (Italy) that came together just before the pandemic through a chance encounter between two guitarists. What began as a casual project based on cover songs quickly turned into a powerful artistic journey, built on authenticity, emotional depth, and an unfiltered connection to real life. During lockdown, AMMO found its true identity, writing original music and forming a clear mission: to express deep emotions and awaken the human soul through a raw, uncompromising sound. Their style blends visceral rock, blues influences, and metal undertones, standing out for its emotional impact and lyrics with strong human and social meaning. AMMO doesn’t follow trends; they follow their inner truth. In 2023, they released their debut album "To the Stars", followed by "Ghost" on July 4th, 2024. Tracks like "Riding to the Stars", "Holding Back" and "We All Live" earned strong reviews (including one from ROCKOL) and reached the Italian independent charts. Their intense live shows have seen them perform alongside Italian rock legends such as Luca Colombo and Pino Scotto, and take their music beyond borders, with performances in Austria. Now part of the Wanikiya Record/Promotion roster, AMMO continues to evolve their journey, blending passion, humanity, and sonic power into a unique and meaningful musical experience.

V: 你好兄弟很高兴见到你，非常感谢你接受这次采访。我想这是你们乐队首次接受中国杂志的专访。首先向所有中国乐迷和朋友们问好。Ammo乐队成立于何时？你们是如何组建这支乐队的？乐队名称Ammo有何寓意？

Hello brother, nice to meet you and thank you very much for participating in this interview. I think this is the first time your band has accepted an interview from a Chinese magazine. First of all, let me say hello to all Chinese fans and friends. When was Ammo founded and how did you form this band? What does the name Ammo mean?

M: Ammo乐队诞生于2020年的博尔扎诺市。最初这只是朋友间的游戏，一种放松身心、逃离日常、共度时光的方式。2021年，首支原创作品“Riding to the Stars”问世，乐队由此焕然新生。创始成员Alessandro Grillo与我携手，先迎来贝斯手Giorgio加入，随后键盘手Emil Fazzi也加入团队。2023年，首张专辑“To the Stars”问世，收录八首源自我亲身经历与情感的原创作品，乐队成员们以各自乐器赋予这些作品全新生命力。2024年，元老吉他手Alessandro Grillo由Fabrizio Arnao接替，标志着乐队阵容的又一次重要转折。这个名字代表弹药，象征我们想要传递的强烈能量。

Ammo was born in 2020 in the city of Bolzano. At the beginning, it was just a game among friends, a way to relax and escape from everyday life, to spend time together. In 2021 came the first composition: “Riding to the Stars,” and the band changed its face. Alongside me and Alessandro Grillo (the founders), Giorgio joined on bass first, and later Emil Fazzi on keyboards. In 2023, the first album “To the Stars” was released, eight original songs born from my experiences and emotions, which the other members of the band embraced and enhanced with their instruments. In 2024, Alessandro Grillo, the historic guitarist, gave way to Fabrizio Arnao. This marked another turning point in our lineup. The name stands for Ammunition, to indicate the intensity of what we want to transmit.

V: 你们乐队的成员都是第一代成员，彼此非常熟悉。你们清楚彼此需要创作怎样的作品。能否介绍你们的创作过程？新专辑的创作进展顺利吗？

The members of your band are all first generation members, and you are very familiar with each other. You know what kind of works each other needs to create. Can you introduce your creative process? Is the creative process of the new album progressing smoothly?

G:  通常是Mirko带着灵感来到排练室。他是早起的人，每天第一件事就是拿起乐器，将情绪转化为音符。这个灵感便随之进入排练室。在那里，我们每个人都会根据灵感激发的情感，以各自的方式发展它。有时歌曲只是被丰富了，有时则会彻底改变形态。目前我们正在创作新歌，但刻意放慢了节奏。我们决定将更多时间投入艺术计划的其他环节，这确实挤占了创作时间。不过年底前绝对会有新作问世！

Usually Mirko brings an idea to the rehearsal room. He’s an early riser, and the first thing he does is pick up his instrument and give shape to his emotions. That idea then arrives in the room. There, each of us develops it in our own way, according to the feelings or emotions the idea inspires. Sometimes the song is just enriched, sometimes it completely changes form. At the moment we are working on new songs, proceeding a bit more slowly by choice. We decided to devote time to other parts of our artistic project as well, and that takes away from the creative process. But by the end of the year there will definitely be something new!

V: 你已发行过两张录音效果极佳的专辑。这两张专辑是在哪家录音室录制的？由哪位制作人操刀制作？新专辑的录制进展顺利吗？

You have released two albums with excellent recording effects. Which studio did you record the albums in? Which producer made the album for you? Is the recording process of the new album going smoothly?

M: 由于我们是自主制作，因此依赖于朋友们奉献的时间、技能和热情。排练室我们使用了博尔扎诺'Musica BLu'的场地，前两张专辑完全由我们自主完成。

Since we self-produce, we rely on the skills and passion of friends who dedicate their time to us. For the rehearsal room, we used the facilities of 'Musica BLu' in Bolzano. Our first two albums were completely self-produced.

F: 目前进展顺利。我们利用空闲时间逐一录制不同乐器，在自己的排练室独立完成了所有录制工作。

At the moment yes. Whenever we have time, we dedicate ourselves to recording the different instruments; we manage to do it independently in our own room.

V: 你们乐队的Logo设计非常简洁，但这种设计形式正是我个人最喜欢的。是谁为你们设计的这个Logo？你们的专辑封面设计也具有鲜明的特色。这些专辑封面是谁设计的？

The logo design of your band is very simple, but this design form is my personal favorite. Who designed this logo for you? Your album artworks are also designed with distinctive features. Who designed these album artworks for you?

M: 这个Logo是我女儿设计的。

The logo was entirely created by my daughter.

G: 同样，我们力求全员参与，让封面也能充分体现乐队的风格。

Again, we try to participate all together, so that even the covers fully represent the band.

V: 你的两张专辑都是自主发行的吗？还是正在寻找专业唱片公司来发行？你是如何与该厂牌建立合作联系的？对该厂牌的工作是否满意？

Are both of your albums self released or are you looking for a professional label to release them for you? How did you establish contact with this brand for cooperation? Are you satisfied with the job at this brand?

F: 正如之前提到的，所有工作都由我们独立完成。但如果能找到合适的唱片公司……我们非常乐意展开合作！

As mentioned earlier, everything is done by us. But if we were to find a label… we would be more than happy to collaborate!

V: 你的音乐主题是什么？为何选择这样的音乐主题？你希望通过这个音乐主题表达什么？你还创作了歌词部分。这些歌词是谁创作的？创作灵感来源于哪里？

What is the theme of your music about? Why did you choose such a music theme? What do you want to express through this music theme? You also created the lyrics section. Who created these lyrics and what inspired them?

M: 其实是它选择了我。歌词与旋律随时迸发，源自我在世界各地的生活经历。我用音乐打动自己与他人，将那些刻印在我生命中的感受与情感倾泻而出，旨在让聆听者获得我的一部分，我们的一部分。如我所言，歌词主要由我创作，它们源于我一生中真实经历的点滴。核心主题是人在极端境遇中的反应。几乎每首歌都流淌着绝望、勇气与激情，最终总会汇聚成对美好明天的希望。

Actually, it chose me. Lyrics and music come at all times of the day, emerging from the life experiences I’ve had in different places around the world. I use music to move myself and others, to let out from my heart those feelings and emotions that marked my life, with the goal of giving to those who listen a piece of me, a piece of us. As I said, I mainly write the lyrics, and they are the result of real experiences I have lived throughout my life. The theme is basically the reaction of a person in extreme situations. In almost all songs, there’s this feeling of despair, courage, intensity that always flows into hope for a better tomorrow.

V: 首先，恭喜你们的乐队发行了新专辑。这张作品融合了Rock、Blues与Heavy Metal元素，你们对这三种元素的完美结合，让作品在刚劲中透出几分忧郁。对于自己的作品，你们有何看法？

First of all, congratulations to your band for releasing a new album. This is a work that combines rock, blues, and heavy metal elements. Your perfect combination of these three elements gives your work a hint of melancholy amidst toughness. What is your opinion on your own work?

G: 我们的作品强烈地体现了我们的个性。每首歌里都流淌着我们的灵魂——在音符里，在编曲里，在静默间。

Our work strongly represents our personalities as well. In every song, there is a piece of us that emerges—in the sounds, in the arrangements, in the silences.

V: 你参加过哪些音乐节？哪些音乐节给你留下了深刻印象？能否介绍当时的现场氛围？2025年还有哪些音乐节邀请你参与？

What music festivals have you participated in? What music festivals have left a deep impression on you? Can you introduce the live atmosphere at that time? Are there any other music festivals in 2025 that invite you to participate?

F: 我们最近参加的是‘Suan Rock Festival’，这是在特伦蒂诺地区菲耶梅的齐亚诺举办的为期三天的音乐盛会。正是在这样的音乐节上，我们总能倾尽全力，借助舞台和观众的力量充分展现自我。无论是台上还是台下都充满魔力：顶尖的音乐人、热情投入的观众...一切都令人振奋。2025年我们的演出日程相当紧凑，涵盖室内外场馆，'Suan Rock'便是其中之一。

The last festival we took part in was the 'Suan Rock Festival,' a 3-day music event held in Ziano di Fiemme, Trentino. It’s precisely at festivals like this that we always give our best and manage to fully express ourselves thanks to the stage and the audience. It’s something magical both on and off stage: great musicians, an engaged audience… it’s all exhilarating. In 2025 we’ve had a busy calendar of events, both indoors and outdoors, and 'Suan Rock' is one of them.

V: 2025年乐队还有那些信得过工作要进行？例如创作并录制全新作品？能否与大家分享一些信息？

What new tasks will your band undertake in 2025? For example, creating and recording a brand new work? Can you share some information with everyone?

G: 2025年依然行程满满，9月6日我们将参与面向新锐艺术家的'Semirurali Social Rock'活动。我们肯定会投入更多时间录制和打磨新歌。同时计划与我们创立的‘原创音符’协会开展系列活动，该协会专门致力于推广音乐和扶持新锐艺术家。

2025 continues to be full, starting on September 6 when we’ll take part in the 'Semirurali Social Rock,' dedicated to emerging artists. Surely we’ll dedicate more time to recording and perfecting new songs. We also have in mind a series of activities to carry out with our association, Note Originali, which we founded specifically to promote music and emerging artists.

V: 你们是一支年轻且极具潜力的乐队，我将持续支持并关注你们的音乐之路。也希望通过这次访谈能吸引更多中国乐迷关注和支持你们。访谈结束之际，你们乐队有什么话想对中国的乐迷和朋友们说吗？

You are a young and very promising band, and I will support and follow your band. I also hope to attract more Chinese fans to follow and support your band through this interview. At the end of the interview, does your band have anything to say to Chinese fans and friends?

M: 当然——关注我们并留言互动！我们始终开放持续交流与分享，这是艺术成长的基础。但最重要的是……保持摇滚精神！！
