今天采访到的是来自意大利的Thrash/Groove Metal乐队Hybridized，组建于2016年的Hybridized乐队是一支非常有资历的老牌乐队，有吉他手Fabrizio Valenti和鼓手Fabio Mancinelli组建，作为老朋友他们有着共同的音乐爱好，所以Hybridized顺其自然的成立了，随后乐队招募了其他的成员加入乐队完成了阵容并且一直合作，2018年乐队发行了第一张EP专辑“Mental Connections”，虽然这张专辑只有三首歌曲，但是却很好的展现了乐队成员的才华和完美的默契，2020年乐队的第一张正式专辑“Hybridized”发行，其中EP中的两首歌曲也重新录制发表，犀利的Riff，律动的节奏，让这张专辑很快广泛流传，深受好评，2025年乐队再次发行了他们的第二张正式专辑“Voices”，在新专辑发行之际杂志与乐队吉他手Fabrizio Valenti取得联系进行了1一次专访！

Today's interview was with Thrash/Groove Metal band Hybridized from Italy. Hybridized, formed in 2016, is a highly qualified veteran band composed of guitarist Fabrizio Valenti and drummer Fabio Mancinelli. As old friends, they share a common interest in music, so Hybridized was naturally formed. Subsequently, the band recruited other members to join the band and complete the lineup, and they have been working together ever since. In 2018, the band released their first EP album "Mental Connections", which only had three songs, but it well showcased the talents and perfect teamwork of the band members. In 2020, the band's first official album "Hybridized" was released. Two songs from the EP have also been re recorded and released, including the sharp Riff, The rhythmic rhythm of this album quickly spread and received high praise. In 2025, the band released their second official album "Voices", and on the occasion of the release of the new album, the magazine contacted the band's guitarist Fabrizio Valenti for an exclusive interview!

Hello brother nice to meet you and thank you very much for participating in this interview, I think this is the first time that your band has been interviewed by a Chinese magazine, first of all say hello to all the Chinese fans, Hybridized was formed in 2016, it's an old band with a long history, who initiated the formation of this band in the first place?

F: 很高兴向像中国观众这样的观众介绍我们自己，我们知道中国观众对金属场景非常热情和关注。Hybridized于2016年正式开始，由我（Fabrizio Valenti，吉他手）和Fabio Mancinelli（鼓手）的想法。我们是老朋友，一直有着共同的音乐愿景。这个项目自然而然地诞生了，作为一种表达的需要和建立真正代表我们的东西的愿望。

It’s a pleasure to introduce ourselves to an audience like the Chinese one, which we know is extremely passionate and attentive to the metal scene. Hybridized officially began in 2016 from an idea by me (Fabrizio Valenti, guitar) and Fabio Mancinelli (drums). We’ve been longtime friends and always shared the same musical vision. The project was born naturally, as a need for expression and a desire to build something that truly represents us.

V: 你们乐队的所有成员都是第一代成员吗？你换过会员吗？新成员如何加入乐队？为什么第一代成员退出了乐队？你对新成员满意吗？

Are all the members of your band first generation members? Have you ever changed members? How do new members join the band? Why did the first generation members quit the band? Are you happy with the new members?

The original lineup has remained mostly stable over time. In addition to me and Fabio, the core members include Marco Patarca on vocals and Emanuele Gazzellini on bass. Currently, Emanuele is unable to participate in live shows due to health reasons, but he remains fully involved in the creative process. In the past, some lineup changes occurred for logistical or personal reasons, but our approach has always been to build strong musical relationships based on artistic and human affinity. We’re very happy with the balance we have today.

V: 你们乐队的每个成员都是一位经验丰富的金属创作音乐家，你能介绍一下你的创作过程吗？我相信你的创作过程会激励更多的年轻音乐家。

Each member of your band is an experienced musician in writing metal, can you take in a little bit about your creative process? I'm sure your creative process will inspire more young musicians.

F: 我们的创作过程建立在不同个性和不同影响之间的不断对话之上。乐队的名字“Hybridized”正反映了这种性质：从Death到Groove，从Thrash到Black Metal的音乐背景的有机融合。通常，Fabio和我会研究最初的想法、即兴重复段和基本结构。然后Marco和Emanuele带来了他们的视野，这有助于塑造歌曲的身份和深度。这是一个缓慢的过程，但非常自发，与我们想要沟通的内容相一致。

Our creative process is built on constant dialogue between different personalities and diverse influences. The band’s name, Hybridized, reflects exactly this nature: an organic blend of musical backgrounds ranging from death to groove, from thrash to black metal. Usually, Fabio and I work on the initial ideas, riffs, and basic structures. Then Marco and Emanuele bring in their vision, which helps shape the song’s identity and depth. It’s a slow process, but very spontaneous and in tune with what we want to communicate.

V: 你的Logo设计很老派，谁为你设计的这个Logo？你的专辑封面设计得也很漂亮，谁为你设计了专辑封面？

Your logo design is very old school, who designed this logo for you? Your album artwork is also very beautifully designed, who designed this album artwork for you?

F: 我们的Logo是由ModBlackmoon设计的，他是一位专门为金属乐队设计Logo的艺术家，他完美地捕捉到了我们对Obituary等乐队老派氛围的渴望。"Voices"的艺术作品是由我开发的，基于我在人工智能的帮助下创作的视觉概念。然后，我通过大量的后期制作对结果进行了改进。作为一个独立的乐队，我们也喜欢直接处理视觉方面。这张照片象征性地代表了我们每天面临的精神冲突——启发专辑标题的“声音”。

Our logo was created by ModBlackmoon, an artist specialized in logos for metal bands, who perfectly captured our desire to reference the old-school atmosphere of bands like Obituary. The artwork for "Voices" was developed by me, based on a visual concept I worked on with the help of AI. I then refined the result through extensive post-production. Being an independent band, we like to handle the visual side directly as well. The image symbolically represents the mental conflicts we face daily — the "voices" that inspired the album title.

V: 你的专辑在录音效果方面非常令人印象深刻，你是在哪个录音室录制的？哪位制作人制作了你的专辑？新专辑的录制过程进展如何？

Your album is very impressive in terms of recording results, which studio did you record the album in? Which producer produced your album? How is the recording process going for the new album?

F: "Voices"完全是我们自己制作和录制的。我们得到了Valentina Stumpo对管弦乐编曲的宝贵支持，以及Andrea Manno对最终混音和大师的宝贵支持。这个过程很长，在某些方面很复杂，但在我们对结果完全满意之前，我们不想发布任何东西。我们对自己要求很高，更愿意花时间来实现真正代表我们的声音。

"Voices" was entirely self-produced and recorded by us. We had the valuable support of Valentina Stumpo for the orchestral arrangements and Andrea Manno for the final mix and master. The process was long and in some ways complex, but we didn’t want to release anything until we were fully satisfied with the result. We are very demanding with ourselves and prefer to take the time needed to achieve a sound that truly represents us.

V: 你的音乐主题是什么，你为什么选择它，你想通过它表达什么？你还创建了一个歌词部分，谁写了这些歌词，他的灵感是什么？

What is your musical theme about, why did you choose it, and what do you want to express through it? You also created a lyrics section, who wrote these lyrics and what was his inspiration?

F: 所有的歌词都是我们的歌手Marco写的，我们给他充分的表达自由。每一个字都来自个人的紧迫感，通常与内在、心理和情感主题有关。我们从不完全解释歌词，因为我们希望听众通过阅读歌词并形成自己的解释来产生兴趣。

All the lyrics are written by Marco, our vocalist, to whom we give full expressive freedom. Every word comes from a personal urgency, often linked to internal, psychological, and emotional themes. We never fully explain the lyrics because we want the listener to become interested by reading them and forming their own interpretation.

V: 你们选择五年后发行第二张专辑，是什么让你们五年后才发行第二张专辑？

You guys chose to release your second album five years later, what was willing to make you release your second album five years later?

F: 我们从不设定严格的截止日期。我们每个人都有音乐之外的工作和生活，但乐队仍然是我们旅程中至关重要的一部分。"Voices"本可以更早发布，但我们更愿意投入更多时间使其更加扎实和精致。我们不认为音乐是一场出版竞赛。我们更喜欢专注于我们想表达的东西，而不是仅仅为了填满时间线而发布一些东西。

We never set strict deadlines. Each of us also has a job and a life outside of music, but the band remains a crucial part of our journey. "Voices" could have been released earlier, but we preferred to invest more time to make it solid and polished. We don’t see music as a race to publish. We prefer to focus on what we want to express rather than releasing something just to fill a timeline.

V: 你们选择自行发行所有专辑，你们是否有计划找到一家唱片公司为你们发行CD版本？

You have chosen to self-release all of your albums, do you have any plans to find a label to release the CD versions for you?

F: 目前，我们还没有具体的物理释放计划。如今，CD格式更多的是收藏家的物品，而不是真正的分销渠道。此外，许多推广机构以此为借口，向新兴乐队出售不明确的服务。我们的目标不是销售音乐，而是分享音乐。任何有兴趣听"Voices"的人都可以简单地联系我们并免费获得专辑，没有问题。如果将来我们遇到一个对我们所做的事情真正感兴趣的标签并且尊重我们的艺术独立性，我们愿意进行对话。但我们无意妥协或追求商业逻辑。

At the moment, we have no concrete plans for a physical release. Nowadays, the CD format is more of a collector’s item than a true distribution channel. Additionally, many promotional entities use it as a pretext to sell unclear services to emerging bands. Our goal is not to sell music, but to share it. Anyone interested in listening to "Voices" can simply contact us and will receive the album for free, no problem. If in the future we come across a label truly interested in what we do — and that respects our artistic independence — we’re open to dialogue. But we have no intention of compromising or chasing commercial logic.

V: 首先，祝贺你今年新专辑"Voices"的发行，你的作品Thrash融入了Groove Metal的元素，使你的作品更有节奏感和复古感，你的两把吉他使你的编曲更加复杂和饱满，歌手犀利的嗓音也是乐队声音的一大补充。我印象深刻，你觉得你的工作怎么样？新专辑和旧专辑有什么不同？

First of all, congratulations on the release of your new album “Voices” this year, your work Thrash mixed with elements of Groove Metal, which makes your work more rhythmic and retro, your two guitars make your arrangements more complex and full, and the singer's penetrating vocals are also a great addition to the band's sound. I'm very impressed, what do you think of your work? How has the new album changed from the old one?

F: 谢谢你的赞美之词，我们真的很感激。与第一张专辑相比，"Voices"探索了更黑暗的领域，推动了更具死亡导向的声音。我们觉得有必要在技术和情感上发展。每首曲目都经过精心处理，密切关注编排、编曲和声乐动态。这是一件我们深切感受到属于我们的作品，与我们早期的材料相比，它代表了艺术的成长。

Thank you for the kind words, we truly appreciate it. Compared to the first album, "Voices" explores darker territories, pushing toward a more death-oriented sound. We felt the need to evolve, both technically and emotionally. Every track was treated with care, paying close attention to arrangements, orchestrations, and vocal dynamics. It’s a work we deeply feel is ours, and it represents artistic growth compared to our earlier material.

V: 作为一支经验丰富的乐队，你们参加过这些音乐节吗？哪些音乐节给你留下了深刻的印象，你能描述一下气氛吗？你计划在2025年参加哪些音乐节？

As a veteran band you guys have played those festivals? What are some of the festivals that have left a lasting impression on you and can you describe the atmosphere, and what other festivals are you planning to play in 2025?

F: 我们主要在我们的家乡罗马演出，也在意大利地下音乐圈的一些活动中演出。意大利的情况并不容易，尤其是对于演奏原创音乐而不追随当前趋势的乐队来说——场地少，观众有限。但每一场现场表演都是一个留下一些东西的机会，即使是在小范围内。我们在Chinaski（一个已经关闭的场地）举行的第一场音乐会给我们留下了深刻的印象：这是一场纯粹的能量激增。2025年，我们正在考虑一些建议，旨在以最真实的方式将"Voices"带到舞台上。

We've mainly performed in our hometown, Rome, and at some events in the Italian underground circuit. The scene in Italy is not easy, especially for bands playing original music and not following current trends — few venues, and limited audiences. But every live show is an opportunity to leave something behind, even in small contexts. Our first concert, at Chinaski (a venue that has since closed), left a strong mark on us: it was a surge of pure energy. For 2025, we’re considering a few proposals, aiming to bring "Voices" to the stage in the most authentic way possible.

V: 你们是一支经典的老乐队，我会一直支持和关注你们的乐队，我也希望通过这次采访，更多的中国歌迷会关注和支持你们的乐队。最后你想对你们的中国歌迷说些什么？

You guys are a classic old band, I will always support and pay attention to your band, I also hope that through this interview more Chinese fans will pay attention to and support your band, what would you like to say to your Chinese fans at the end?
