First of all, I would like to say hello to the fans and friends in China. Mixomatosis band was established in 1990, and it is an old band with a long history. Who proposed to form this band? Does the name Mixomatosis mean anything?

Hi, nice to meet you and participate with you and for all the fans of China. The band emerged in 1990 in a square in my town Castellvell in the countryside, when a few friends got together to spend the afternoons chatting and listening to music. We were all very young, I was the youngest of all. We all wanted to start an extreme band and there were 6-8 of us who all wanted to participate in it, but we didn't have the instruments for it. The name of the band was given by Jordi Lozano, he was one of those who formed the band and the one who started everything, the name is a rabbit disease that ran a few years ago, the official logo was made by Armando Bejerano (Audiorrea) In 1993 we had two logos, the one made by Armando and another friend of ours, finally between Lozano and I we chose Armando's as the official logo. At the beginning of starting the band, when Lozano bought the bass and Armando had a guitar, the two got together at Lozano's expense, the two of them did a rehearsal session and recorded what was initially the first audio of Mixomatosis at that time. Lozano cut out a magazine about a sick rabbit with Mixomatosis and Armando made the logo on top of the photo and it was recorded on a tape. From that moment on, work began on the band as the members could buy instruments and learn to play.

You are the only original member of the band, and the other members have been replaced. Why did the first generation members quit the band? How do new members join the band? Are you satisfied with the work of the new members?

Every member of your band is an experienced musician who creates Grindcore music style. Can you tell us about your creative process? I believe your creative experience will inspire many young musicians!

Yes, all the members of the band have good judgment when it comes to composing, playing live, rehearsing or participating in any work that the band can do, our guitarist PERCHA, does not come from Grindcore, he listens to more metal bands, But he fit in very well with the band and makes very good riffs. Generally I am the one who composes in the band, although all the members contribute their share of work in the band, it is essential to work together.

Each of your albums is excellent in recording, and each album has made great progress. Of course, it has something to do with the years. Which studio did you record the albums in? Who produced the album for you?

All our albums have a moment and a little history and conditions when recording, with different band members on them. The old recordings until 2008 were recorded in different studios in the area such as: Entrepis studio, LA cocina de Juan Zarpa Studio, Reus ligth studio….. We recorded the latest albums/splits ourselves in our homes totally DIY, then we sent it to be mixed by some of our friends who work on it, like Rubén from Neburzone prod., Fli from Grindahause prods. and a cousin of our bassist Gaspar who also mixes bands.

99% of the lyrics have been written by me, and they speak in general about everything that surrounds us, about day-to-day life, about death, gore, murders, diseases, social politics, disasters, wars, also many things related to us themselves and or acquaintances.. what is supposed to be everything that is happening in this shitty world every day…..

You have released albums in cooperation with many brands. How did you get in touch with these brands to cooperate? Are you satisfied with their work?

The logo design of your band is very unique, and it reveals responsibility in a simple way. Who designed this logo for you? Your album artwork is also designed in the form of real photos, comics, etc. Who owns these artworks for you?

The logo, as I already mentioned, was done by Audiorrea/Mixomatosis, then blood was added to the bottom part that a friend Anton gave us, and we used it in a different way, sometimes the original and other times with blood, depending on the edition or the moment of art design. We have several images taken from the internet on our front covers, we changed that years ago for a reason, just like us when you take an image from the internet, then there are other bands that publish the same image on their front covers, I changed that and I looked for people that they drew by hand and exclusively for our work, so it would be a unique design of ours. From then on, most of our works were drawn by different people, whom we thank in the same album or in another way, since sometimes we have left things in the artwork in the rush, we are always grateful to them. all the people involved in working with us since without them many things would not have come to light, with these very good drawings and designs, they have also designed some very good front covers for us, always thanking everyone from Mixomatosis for these great works. How many have made us drawings and designs for Mixomatosis and so as not to leave any of us to say hello, we will not name names here, but everyone is greeted and we thank each one of them for their contribution to the band.

First of all, congratulations on the latest album "Humanidad putrefacta" just released this year. You are masterpieces of the Spanish goregrinders school. The singer's singing is definitely the best singer I have ever seen. I was deeply impressed by all kinds of singing methods. Your album has great sound quality and really enjoys it, especially the sound of drums. Speaking of drums, the loose drums make this album more confusing, which is very suitable for this style of music. The guitar Riff parts in this album are incredible, and they bring an atmosphere of "Old School Death Metal" to this album. Beth's voice is loud and easy to be noticed and heard. What do you think of your work? Are there any changes between the new album and the old album?

I'm very glad you like it, thank you very much，The truth is that we are happy with "Humanidad Putrefacta" it turned out very well, old school grindcore but with our own and raw style, this album was recorded as I already mentioned each of us in our homes and then Rubén from Neburzone mixed it, he released a good raw sound. They are simple and raw old school riffs, they don't sound like death metal to me, but they do sound old, the drums sound very good, and there are many games in the voices, there always are, the recording depends on one way or another, We lacked a collaboration that was initially planned but that ultimately could not be, we will see if later. Victor did the drawing on the front cover, very good job. Each album is different although you always know that it is us when you are listening, we are happy with all our works since each one has a story behind it.

V: 除了在2024年发行新专辑，你们还有什么其他工作要做？能告诉我们一些信息吗？

What other work do you have to do besides releasing a new album in 2024? Can you tell us some information?
