踏上征程的勇士们 - 芬兰Death/Groove Metal乐队Pohjoisen Soturit专访

今天采访到的是来自芬兰的另外一支非常优秀的乐队Pohjoisen Soturit，乐队由吉他 / 歌手Anssi和鼓手Ossi在2004年组建，在组建不久之后乐队发行了第一张Demo作品“Versisuot”，2006 - 2011年期间乐队发行了三张Demo作品，随后乐队的阵容发生了一些变化，但是这并没有影响乐队的创作进程，2016年乐队的第一张正式专辑“Oksat pois... ja osa latvuksista”，在芬兰的著名厂牌Inverse Records发行，这张专辑演绎了精彩的Death Metal作品，缓慢的节奏，毒辣的Riff，鼓手的表现非常稳定，这张专辑最大的特点就是慢，并不像现在的很多乐队寻求快速的演奏形式，相反乐队选择比较缓慢的演奏形式，这是现在很多Death Metal并不常使用的演奏方式，再加上一些Groove Metal的元素使用，让这张专辑更加的动听，歌手低沉有力的演唱也是非常精彩，这张专辑让Pohjoisen Soturit乐队也成为了备受关注的乐队，2022年乐队在Pa Parpara厂牌发行了他们的第二张正式专辑”Halaus“，这张专辑依旧还是一张高水平的作品，2025年乐队回归了老厂牌Inverse Records即将发行他们的第三张正式专辑”N“，在新专辑发行之际杂志通过Inverse Records厂牌的协助与乐队取得联系进行了一次专访！

Today, I interviewed Pohjoisen Soturit, another excellent band from Finland. The band was formed by guitar/singer Anssi and drummer Ossi in 2004. Soon after the formation, the band released its first Demo work "Versisuot". During 2006-2011, the band released three Demo works, and then the lineup of the band changed a little. However, this did not affect the band's creative process. In 2016, the band's first official album "Oksat pois... ja osa latvuksista" was released in the famous Finnish label Inverse Records. This album performed wonderful Death Metal works, slow rhythm, sinister Riff, and the drummer's performance was very stable. The biggest feature of this album is slowness. Unlike many bands nowadays who seek fast playing forms, on the contrary, bands choose slower playing forms, which are not often used by many Death Metal now, and the use of some elements of Groove Metal makes this album more beautiful, and the singer's deep and powerful singing is also very exciting. With this album, Pohjoisen Soturit has also become a band of great concern. In 2022, the band released their second official album "Halaus" on the Pa Parpara label, and this album is still a high-level work. In 2025, the band returned to the old label "Reverse Records" and will release their third official album "N". On the occasion of the release of the new album, the magazine made an exclusive interview with the band through the assistance of the Reverse Records label.

Hello brother nice to meet you and thank you very much for participating in this interview, I think this is the first time that your band has been interviewed by a Chinese magazine, first of all say hello to all the Chinese fans, Pohjoisen Soturit was formed in 2004 and is a band with a long history of veteran bands, who initiated the formation of this band in the first place?

P: 你好中国，来自芬兰的问候！是的，我们走了很长的路，希望还有路给我们。这个乐队就像其他许多乐队一样，刚刚开始没有任何更大的计划。兄弟Anssi（吉他，歌手）和Ossi（鼓）发起了这个乐队，经过几次变化，它变成了今天的样子。

Hello China and heavy greetings from Finland! Yes, we have come a long road and hopefully there's road remaining for us. This band just started like many other band I guess, just jamming without any greater plans. Brothers Anssi (guitar,voc) and Ossi (drums) initiated this band and with several changes it has become that what it is today.

V: 从2008年到2020年，你的乐队增加了两名新成员，新成员是如何加入乐队的？你对新成员满意吗？

Your band has added two new members between 2008 - 2020, how did the new members join the band? Are you happy with the new members?

P: 2020年Juuso以键盘手的身份加入乐队，我们的音乐变得更加旋律化。2022年底Ville加入了主音吉他，这也为我们的音乐带来了新的多样性。是的我们对这个乐队的每个成员都很满意。

Juuso came in 2020 with keyboards, our music gets much more melodical way. In late 2022 Ville came in lead guitar and that has also given a new versatility to our music. Yes we are happy with every member on this band.

V: 你的乐队所有成员都是经验丰富的金属音乐创作音乐人，你是如何创作作品的，能否描述一下创作过程？

All the members of your band are experienced musicians in creating metal music, how do you create your work and can you describe the creative process?

P: 起初这就像是一个无望的谜题，这里有一些节奏，那里有一些旋律，然后我们把所有的线索放在一起，看看是否有效，通常都是有效的。所有成员都以同样的方式参与歌曲创作。

At first it is like a hopeless puzzle, somekind of riff there and thatkind of melody here, then we just clue all together and see if it works. Usually it does. All members are involved creating songs in same way.

Your band's albums have been very impressive in terms of recording results, especially the new single, which studio did you all record the album at? Which producer produced your album? Is the recording of the new songs going well?

P: 这张新的单曲和整张专辑是在我们自己的工作室录制的。我们的鼓手Ossi一直在担任制作人。一年前我们开始录制这些新曲目，由于我们的日常工作和其他活动进展相当缓慢。

This new single and whole album is recorded our own studio. Our drummer Ossi has been working as a producer. We started recording these new tracks a year ago, it has been pretty slow because of our dayjobs and other activities.

V: 你们乐队的logo很独特，这个logo是谁给你设计的？你的专辑插图也设计的很漂亮，谁给你设计的专辑插图？

Your band's logo is very unique, who designed this logo for you? Your album artwork is also beautifully designed, who designed the album artwork for you?

P: 我认为是Viini-Esko制作了最初罗盘，然后又有了新的版本。这件艺术品是由Herkko Siekkinen创作的，他也是Anssi纹身中最大的一部分，非常有才华的艺术家。

I think it was Viini-Esko who make that orginal skullcompass, then there are new editions of it. This single art is made by Herkko Siekkinen who has also made biggest part of Anssi's tattoos, very talented artist.

V: 你的音乐主题是什么，为什么选择它，你想通过它表达什么？你有歌词部分吗，歌词是谁写的，灵感来自哪里？

What is your musical theme about, why did you choose it, and what do you want to express through it? Do you have a lyrics section, who wrote the lyrics and what inspired Tal?

P: 我不知道有没有特定的主题，它就是这样的。我们演奏对我们来说听起来好的音乐，如果有人喜欢那就很酷了。Anssi写了歌词，它们相当黑暗，大多数是关于死亡和传统芬兰忧郁的。这类歌词的灵感来自新闻和社交媒体。我们被这块奇怪的石头囚禁着，它正以可怕的速度在宇宙中飞驰。我们没有享受这段旅程，而是互相争斗。

I don't know is there any particular theme, it is what it is. We play what sounds good for us, and if someone likes it that is cool. Anssi wrote lyrics and they are pretty dark, most of them tells about death and traditional finnish depression. Inspiration of these kinds of lyrics comes from news and social media. We are imprisoned by this strange stone that is speeding through space at a terrible speed. Instead of enjoying the ride we fight with each other.

V: 你的乐队在Pa Parpara和Inverse Records两个厂牌发布了专辑，你是如何与这两个厂牌联系进行合作的？你对这两个厂牌的工作满意吗？我对Pa Parpara了解不多，你能告诉我关于这个厂牌的信息吗？

Your band has released albums with two labels, Pa Parpara and Inverse Records, how did you get in touch with these two labels to collaborate? Were you satisfied with the work of both labels? I don't know much about Pa Parpara, can you tell me about the label?

P: 实际上Pa Parpara并不存在，那只是我们在2022年发行Halaus专辑时必须编造的一个名字。那张专辑完全是我们自己制作的，没有任何真正的标签。2016年我们与Inverse Records开始合作，当时我们发行了我们的第一张专辑Oksat pois ja osa latvuksista。

Actually that Pa Parpara doesnt exist, that was just a name what we have to made up when we release Halaus album at 2022. That album was made all by our selves without any real label. With Inverse Records we started collaborate in 2016 when we released our first album Oksat pois ja osa latvuksista.

V: 首先恭喜你的乐队在长时间后发行了最新单曲，这也预示着你的新专辑即将发布，我对你的作品印象深刻，优美的旋律，快速的连续段，鼓手演奏稳定流畅，歌手演唱低沉有力的声音，键盘手是你作品的最大亮点，使其更具氛围感，你对你的作品有什么看法，新专辑与旧专辑相比有什么变化？

First of all, congratulations on the release of your band's latest single after a long time, which also heralds the release of your new album soon, I was impressed with your work, beautiful melodies, fast continuous riffs, the drummers performed steadily and smoothly, the singers sang low and powerful vocals, where the keyboards were the biggest highlight of your work, making it even more atmospheric, and what do you think of What do you think of your work and how has the new album changed compared to the old one?

P: 谢谢，我们真的很高兴有这张新单曲和新专辑。有更多的旋律、吉他独奏和键盘独奏，这让旧专辑有了很大的不同。

Thank you. We are really happy whit this new single and new album. There is much more melodies, guitar and keyboard solos what makes difference in old ones.

V: 你们乐队都去过哪些音乐节，哪些音乐节让你印象深刻，能描述一下气氛吗，2025年还还有那些音乐节邀请你们参加？

What festivals have you bands been to, what festivals have impressed you, can you describe the atmosphere and what other festivals have you been invited to in 2025?

P: 还没有任何确定的节目，希望我们能尽快上路。印象最深的演出是2021年在伦敦卡姆登黑社会和2023年与Arallu和Blax的保加利亚巡回演出。

There isn't any confirmed shows yet, hope we get on the road soon. Most impressed shows have been in 2021 at London Camden Underworld and Bulgaria tour in 2023 with Arallu and Blax.

You guys are a classic old band, I will always support and pay attention to your band, I also hope that through this interview more Chinese fans will pay attention to and support your band, what would you like to say to your Chinese fans at the end?
