邪恶的巫术 - 马达加斯加Death Metal / Deathcore乐队Valan'kisoa专访

昨天采访了马达加斯加的Osy Mainty乐队，今天继续这个国家的另外一支乐队Valan'kisoa，这支乐队依旧还是来自BlacK组建的一支单人项目，这支乐队分别在2023 - 2025年发行了三张作品，Valan'kisoa乐队的风格定义为Death Metal / Deathcore，但是他与很多其他此类风格的乐队有一定的区别，就是Valan'kisoa采用了Old School的元素相对于更多，所以他的作品听起来既有Old的风格，也有Deathcore的残暴感，在联系到Osy Mainty乐队的同时杂志也为BlacK的这支Valan'kisoa乐队进行了一次专访！

After interviewing the Madagascan band Osy Mainty yesterday, today we turn our attention to another band from the same country: Valan'kisoa. This is another solo project founded by the musician BlacK. The band has released three works between 2023 and 2025. While Valan'kisoa is classified as Death Metal/Deathcore, it stands apart from many other bands in the genre by incorporating significant "old-school" elements; consequently, the music combines a classic aesthetic with the sheer brutality characteristic of Deathcore. Following the feature on Osy Mainty, the magazine also conducted an exclusive interview with BlacK regarding his Valan'kisoa project!

V: 你好BlacK，很高兴再次见到你。这次我想就你组建的另一支乐队Valan'kisoa采访一下你。这支乐队是什么时候成立的？你是如何着手组建它的？

Hello BlacK, good to see you again. This time, I’d like to interview you about Valan'kisoa, another band you formed. When was the band established, and how did you go about putting it together?

B: 大家好，很高兴能再次接受采访。我深感荣幸，也预感我的音乐会在中国大受欢迎。再次向中国的乐迷们问好，希望大家都安好。今天我们要聊聊我以“Valan’Kisoa”为名创作的另一个音乐项目。在我音乐探索之旅的初期，既没有“Osy Mainty”也没有“Valan’Kisoa”，只有一些我用来练手的曲目。起初，受限于当时电脑的性能，我只能用Guitar Pro编写MIDI音轨。后来，随着设备升级，我接触到了音乐制作的世界并深深着迷，这份热爱一直延续至今。当音色变得更加逼真时，我意识到每首曲目都需要独特的音色，参数设置也各不相同。积累了大量曲目后，我开始将风格相似的作品归类整理。很快，我就创建了许多小型纯音乐播放列表，这些列表后来孕育出了正式的音乐项目。“Osy Mainty”就是这样诞生的，其他一些——姑且称之为“Osy Mainty”或Valan’Kisoa的雏形项目”——也是如此。但问题在于，我的清嗓（正常唱法）实在太糟糕了，于是我决定尝试一种更适合自己能力的风格，这便引领我进入了极端音乐和金属嘶吼的世界。当时，由于没有哪个项目是真正严肃投入的，加上设备条件的限制，我决定暂时专注于单一项目，而这种专注后来甚至演变成了一种近乎执念的状态。在主项目之外，每当我想腾出电脑空间时，我都会在删除那些未使用的曲目之前最后听一遍。在这个过程中，我保留了自己依然喜爱的曲目，并轻松地将它们整理成了几个播放列表。我没有给这些列表起名字，而是让每一个列表都对应着某种特定的情绪氛围。我生气时常听那些风格最激烈的音乐；“Valan’Kisoa”这个名字的灵感，其实源于我祖父最爱讲的一个笑话所引发的某种愤怒情绪。虽然自2010年起我就更专注于“Osy Mainty”这个项目，但“Valan’Kisoa”所用到的一些器乐曲目，其实也是在那段时期创作的。我大约在2013或2014年开始为“Valan’Kisoa”录制人声，录音地点大多是在家里，偶尔也会去录音室。不过，由于当时我的重心主要在另一个项目上，我决定先在封锁期间推出“Osy Mainty”；至于“Valan’Kisoa”，则是在厂牌“Anatomy”的伙伴们建议下才正式发布的。这就是事情的来龙去脉，希望你们喜欢这个故事。

Hello and thanks for interviewing me again. I really feel honored and I’ve the feeling that my music gonna hit in China. Hi to my Chinese fans again, I hope all of you are fine and today we gonna talk about another project that I created within the name Valan’Kisoa. At the beginning of my musical odyssey, there was no Osy Mainty, there was no Valan’Kisoa but there was only tracks that I used for training. It started with midi tracks that I programmed with Guitar Pro due to the limits of the computer I’ve been using at this time. Later, I got a better gear and I discovered the world of music production and just got hooked until today. When I reached a more realistic sound, I realized that each track required its one type of sound and the settings was always different from a track to an other. Once I collected a large number of tracks, I began to put all the tracks that had similarities together. Quickly I managed to create many lil instrumental playlist that would later give birth to musical projects. Osy Mainty was – for instance – born this way and same for other – let’s say – “proto Osy Mainty or Valan’Kisoa projects”. But the trouble was that my clean vocals was just awful and soon I decided to try a style that was more suitable for my ability which drove me in the universe of extreme music an metal screams. As somehow none of my projects was really serious at this time and due to equipment limits I decided to focus on only one project for a while which became a sort of obsessional later. Beside the main project, when I wanted to save some space in my computer I used to give a last listening to the unused tracks before deleting them. During the process, I saved all the tracks I still loved and easily made a couple of playlists with them. I didn’t give names to all the playlists and each of them stacked to a mood. I used to listen the most aggressive one when I was angry and somehow the name Valan’Kisoa came from the anger I felt due to one of the favorite joke of my grandpa. The point is that since 2010 I was more into Osy Mainty but some of the instrumental tracks I used for Valan’Kisoa were created at this period. I began to record vocals for Valan’Kisoa around 2013 or 2014 mostly at home but sometimes in studio. However, as my heart was more into the other project. I decided to bring Osy Mainty to light first during the lockdown and I unveiled Valan’Kisoa only after a suggestion from my mates in the label Anatomy. That’s the summary. I hope you loved the story.

V: 这个乐队同样完全由你一人担纲；能跟我们聊聊背后的创作过程吗？

This band also consists solely of you; could you tell us about the creative process behind it?

B: 我所有音乐项目的创作流程都是一样的——包括编曲、人声录制和混音——但 Valan’Kisoa 的独特之处或许在于其音乐定位与声音制作理念。可以说，相比我经手的其他一些项目，这个项目的实验性相对较弱。

The creative process is the same for all my musical projects, programing the composition, recording vocals and mixing but maybe the point that makes Valan’Kisoa really different is its purposes musically an in regard of sound production. Let’s say it’s less experimental than some other projects that I run.

V: 乐队的录音工作也是在家庭工作室完成的吗？

Was the band's recording work also done in a home studio?

B: 是啊，现在我可以在家里做了。

Yeah, now I can do it at home.

V: 这个乐队的音乐主题是什么？为什么选择这个主题？你希望通过它表达什么？

What is the musical theme of this band? Why did you choose this theme, and what do you wish to express through it?

B: 这纯粹是大自然与人类有时会酿成的巨大混乱。它侧重于展现残酷，

但偶尔也会游走在某种“怪癖”或“变态”趣味的边缘。

Just the massive mess that nature and humans can generate sometimes. It’s focused on brutality but within an inch of kinks from time to time.

V: 乐队的标志设计非常简洁，但这正是我个人最喜欢的风格，因为它让乐队名字很容易被记住。标志是你自己设计的吗？专辑的视觉设计也非常精美——是谁操刀制作的呢？

Your band's logo design is very simple, but this is the style I personally like best because it makes the band's name easy to remember. Did you design the logo yourself? The album artwork is also beautifully designed—who created it for you?

B: 这款标志由Chovu乐队的主唱Preston Rot（亦以Ava Creative名义开展创作）设计；他同时也是Anatomy厂牌的一员——正是该厂牌见证了Valan’Kisoa的破茧成蝶与成长壮大。向这支来自肯尼亚的劲旅致敬，爱你们。

This logo was designed by the vocalist of Chovu – Preston Rot – who also work under the name Ava Creative and who is of course a member of the label Anatomy with whom Valan’Kisoa came out of its shell and grew up. Hail to the Kenyan horde. Love you guys.

V: 迄今为止，你已经发行了三部作品，将Modern Death Metal的技巧与Deathcore元素融合在了一起。这种结合既赋予了音乐强烈的时代感，又因Deathcore的影响而更显凶猛狂暴。对于这些作品，你有什么感想？

You have released three works so far, blending modern death metal techniques with deathcore elements. This gives your music a very contemporary feel while making it even more brutal through the deathcore influence. What are your thoughts on your work?

B: 嗯……对于我这种动作慢吞吞的人来说，这强度已经够狠了。我不会每天都听。

Hum… I think it’s brutal enough for the slow dude that I am. I don’t listen it every days.

V: 2026年你还有什么新的创作计划吗？

What other new work will you be undertaking in 2026?

B: 也许很快就会有新消息了，毕竟2027年已近在咫尺；请保持淡定，并在Facebook上关注Valan’Kisoa，因为该项目近来一直在推进之中。

Maybe something will come soon and 2027 is close so keep your serenity and follow Valan’Kisoa on Facebook because the project was on move these days.
